The Lila project aims to support the internationalization of innovative companies in the energy and digital economy. which have been evaluated as key sectors by NWE regions. with the strategic potential of high growth. Lila is based on the Living Labs approach. the European open innovation methodology which involves users in the product development process. For the first time Lila will realize a Living Labs application at a transnational level with groups of users from 4 regions in Europe. Users participate to validate and co-design innovative products or services in order to adapt them to their local markets. Lila fosters the ambition of start-up companies. The project encourages entrepreneurs to commercialize their product at a European market dimension. It gives them the opportunity to test the product/service in specific countries before its launch. Indeed today. most organizations which support internationalization focus only on the commercial development of the companies and offer business networking or legal expertise. Lila delivers to entrepreneurs a validation of their innovative products. measures the acceptance and recommends adaptation development in order to reduce the risk of the product market launch. Regional institutions and large companies are associated with Lila to supporting the development of the start-up companies in their environment in several regions in Europe. Lila will support the regional strategies for innovation with respect to the support of start-up companies with better growth potential and an ambition at the level of the European market. Lila will promote open innovation for citizens who will be associated with the process of co-creation of products or services. The aim of Lila is to contribute to foster the internationalization of young companies from the energy and digital economy sectors; Lila aims to reduce the gap between citizens and economy. especially innovation and entrepreneurship.

Achievements (EN):

TRANSNATIONAL LAB APPLICATIONS Partners organized more than 30 Labs application for the account of european entrepreneurs. The entrepreneurs could pitch and receive product/concept interaction and feedback with group of potential users from other country. They get specific advices and suggestions to adapte their product to specific need. The partners of Lila give them support to organize those transnational Labs and bring facilitation. Since July 2014, the partners thank to design more deeply the Lila process by publishing the “Catalog of Services” to let entrepreneurs know more what could be useful in the Lila course. The three step process leaflet allows partner to propose also their own specificities. (FabLab, eyes-tracking system, expert consultation network...) Start of the European Community of users involve in entrepreneurship: The citizens involved in Lila process could stay connected to the project through the Lila platform. The people engaged in the Lila process can find information about the project online. The partners publish news to keep alive the community around the projects. Also, the partners have to design a new identity of the community and to make people be recognize in the image of the innovative group of users. NEXT ACTIVITIES: Several transnational Lab applications will be proceed until June 2015. A Lila process Guide will be publish with the support of the University of Lorraine and Birmingham City University. All results of Lila will be pitched and dabated during national and european events in 2015.
