Project - Resource and Innovation Centres for Art Destinations

Description

Description (EN): With the globalisation of trade, companies in the artistic crafts supply chain are facing great difficulties. The cause is to be found in the individualism of craftsmen and artists, in the lack of financial and human resources, in the difficulties in questioning and changing habits in design, production and sales. This consideration is valid for any country. This is all the more paradoxical because the Mediterranean and specifically the Côte d'Azur, Corsica, Liguria and Sardinia (regions involved in the project with 7 partners) are areas that have a strong tourist appeal. It is therefore necessary to react by offering artistic craftsmen and operators of the Franco-Italian tourism chain a structured project. This project follows the cross-border programmes Interreg Alcotra ARTisART and Interreg Marittimo Me-R, distinguished by its innovative nature, and places sustainable sharing and development at the centre of its actions. The project identifies innovation as a stimulus for sustainable development, putting centres of skill and shared service at the disposal of companies. This is a real challenge that the programme’s partners want to tackle in order to optimise the competitiveness of companies and the attractiveness of the regions. Through new creative experiences, this project should enable the diversification of the existing offer for the tourism chain and the creation of a cross-border network for artistic crafts. This project is developed around places for exchange and sharing that will allow players in the tourism chain to join forces and gain visibility. A trans-national approach is essential for better economic and social cohesion of the territories concerned, reduce inequalities in development, optimise the visibility of companies, establish efficient changes and a lasting cooperating.
