Fisch ist nicht gleich Fisch. Die Bachforelle ist in viele lokale und regionale Formen und Unterarten unterteilt. Solche autochthone Bestände sind vielfach akut vom Aussterben bedroht. In diesem Projekt werden autochthone Forellenbestände mit Hilfe genetischer Analysen gesucht und Zuchtstämme für Besatzmaßnahmen aufgebaut.

C'è pesce e pesce. La trota di ruscello si suddivide in molteplici varietà e sottospecie locali e regionali. Molte di queste popolazioni autoctone sono minacciate di estinzione. Questo progetto prevede l’identificazione di popolazioni di trote autoctone, realizzata con l’ausilio dell’analisi genetica, e la costituzione di ceppi a scopo di ripopolazione.

Achievements (DE):

Der Schwerpunkt der Aktivitäten lag zunächst auf der Suche nach der „ Urforelle“. Seit Juli 2002 fanden an 129 Probenstellen Befischungen statt und dabei wurden insgesamt 2.975 Fische gewogen, vermessen, markiert und Proben für die genetischen Untersuchungen genommen. Von der Versuchsanstalt Laimburg wurden bisher 653 Proben genetisch analysiert. Im Nationalpark Hohe Tauern wurden Voraussetzungen dafür geschaffen, die Ergebnisse des Forschungsprojektes einer praktischen Umsetzung zuzuführen und damit einen wesentlichen Teil zur Erhaltung der Biodiversität im Alpenraum zu leisten. Mit diesem Projekt wurden nicht nur die Bestandssituationen autochthoner Forellenbestände in Nord-, Ost-, und Südtirol sowie Kärnten und Salzburg aufgezeigt, sondern auch Strategien für den Umgang mit Fischbeständen beispielhaft für andere Regionen und Schutzgebiete ausgearbeitet. Visionen gehen dahin, dass sämtliche Bäche auch außerhalb des Nationalparks langsam wieder auf die ursprüngliche Situation mit so genannten „ authochthonen“ Forellen umgestellt werden.

Achievements (IT):

In un primo tempo l’attenzione delle attività è stata concentrata sulla ricerca della trota autoctona. Dal luglio 2002 presso 129 punti di campionamento sono stati analizzati, pesati, misurati e contrassegnati complessivamente 2.975 pesci e sono state raccolte delle prove a scopo di analisi genetica. Fino ad oggi l’analisi di 653 dei campioni rilevati è stata eseguita dal Centro di Sperimentazione di Laimburg. Nel Parco Nazionale degli Alti Tauri sono stati creati i presupposti affinché i risultati del progetto di ricerca vengano tradotti in pratica e offrano quindi un contributo fondamentale alla conservazione della biodiversità dell’area alpina. Questo progetto non ha solo palesato la situazione della popolazione delle trote autoctone nel Tirolo, in Alto Adige, Carinzia e Salisburgo; esso ha consentito di elaborare strategie di trattamento delle popolazioni ittiche che possono fungere da esempio per altre regioni e aree protette. I “ visionari” auspicano di riportare lentamente tutti i ruscelli, anche quelli che scorrono all’esterno del Parco Nazionale, alla situazione originale, ripopolandoli quindi di cosiddette trote “autoctone”.
