Description (EN):

The project aims at developing an integrated civil protection network between the Sicilian and Maltese bodies involved in the risks forecast, prevention and mitigation processes and moreover in the planning and management of emergencies, to be further extended to the cross border countries. The project aims at structuring an integrated system of interventions, targeting the identification and prevention of sismic, volcanic, hydro-geological as well as risks and issues related to the vulnerability of the cross-border territory, in order to prevent and mitigate the negative effects of possible events that may affect the territory. These objectives are pursued with the creation of an istitutional network between the parties involved and a portal for exchanging information in a remote way.

Il progetto consiste nella costruzione di un sistema integrato di protezione civiletra soggetti siciliani e maltesiper le attività di previsione, prevenzione e mitigazione dei rischi, nonché di pianificazione e gestionedelle emergenze da estendere ai Pesi transfrontalieri. In particolare, il progetto si propone di strutturare un sistema integrato di interventi volti all'identificazione e alla prevenzione dei rischi di natura sismica, vulcanica, idrogeologica, nonchè dei rischi e degli aspetti legati alla vulnerabilità del territorio transfrontaliero al fine di prevenire e fronteggiare gli effetti negativi di possibili eventi che possano coinvolgerlo. Tali obiettivi saranno perseguiti attraverso la realizzazione di una rete istituzionale tra i soggetti coinvolti e un portale che consenta lo scambio di informazioni.

Achievements (EN):

Thanks to Simit here will be more action in relation to the territory involved, the people and the intervention model to be spread throughout the Mediterranean aims to help spread and affirm a new concept civil protection understood as prevention activities and still taking pre-eventum correct behavior. The plans of civil protection - have added representatives of the partners - will enable to plan and manage the various emergencies through the creation of an institutional network between those involved.
