Project - Quality goods circulation on vectors of the programmes’ logistics chain

Description

Description (EN): The project studies the structure and operation of a Cross-border Area Management Platform (CAMP) also able to operate as a Logistics Single Window for an integrated and paperless logistics chain. The CAMP integrates a network of interoperable platforms in service of the shippers and the actors in the logistics chain. The supply chains selected share the one-stop-shop concept which, by involving customers and suppliers, is configured as a means to create a credible instrument in favour of SMEs to internationalise the product in cross-border terms and make its transport more competitive. The reference area includes secondary and tertiary centres, in order for a closer relationship between them and the primary network (port centres and land transport routes). By capitalising on the results of previous projects, the study will enhance the increase in appeal of the centres involved through the economic quantification of the reduction of overall transport chain times. The architecture design is aimed at maximising their characteristics of adaptability, flexibility and scalability to support communication between operators and Entities (and between Entities) of various sizes and with mixed degrees of service computerisation and streamlining, to be defined through a survey of the needs expressed by operators, the logistics system and the indispensable metadata for an operational platform. CIRCUMVECTIO for goods transport and NECTEMUS for passenger transport intend to provide solutions to the critical issues of the cross-border area, due to the intermingling of maritime transport demand flows between the mainland and islands.
