Dans le contexte du changement climatique, la zone du Rhin supérieur présente des vulnérabilités spécifiques qui auront un impact majeur sur l’organisation économique du territoire et en particulier sur la vie et la gestion quotidienne des entreprises dans les années à venir. C'est pourquoi le projet Clim'ability a pour objectif d’identifier et de définir les différentes typologies de vulnérabilités des entreprises, afin de leur donner les moyens d’adapter leurs stratégies et leurs process aux conditions socio-économiques du futur.

The Upper Rhine region has particular vulnerabilities in relation to climate change. They will have a major impact on the region's economic organisation, especially in the day-to-day lives and management of companies in the coming years. This is the reason why the aim of the Clim’ability project is to define different ways in which businesses are vulnerable in order to enable them to adapt their strategies and processes to future socio-economic conditions.

Im Zusammenhang mit dem Klimawandel ist die Oberrheinregion einer Reihe spezifischer Anfälligkeiten ausgesetzt, die in den kommenden Jahren spürbare Auswirkungen auf die wirtschaftliche Ausrichtung der Region, und insbesondere auf Tätigkeit und Management der ansässigen Unternehmen haben werden. Im Rahmen des Projekts Clim''ability werden daher verschiedene Typologien der Anfälligkeit von Unternehmen identifiziert und definiert, und Instrumente zur Anpassung ihrer Strategien und Verfahren erarbeitet.

Achievements (EN):

The project "Clim'Ability - Climate adaptation strategies for companies in the Upper Rhine" grew out of the interdisciplinary research project ANR-SECIF on climate services for French industry. It was funded by the French research association ANR and developed by Pascale Braconnot, a climatologist at the IPSL (Institut Pierre- Simon Laplace, Paris). Information on the ANR-SECIF project (French): In a sociological case study, interviews were conducted with various Alsatian actors from the fields of climate protection, energy and business. The aim was to determine companies' awareness of climate change and to develop strategies for adapting to climate change. In view of the success of this approach, the Alsatian project sponsors (INSA Strasbourg, Florence Rudolf, Prof. for Sociology) have initiated a cross-border project with the partners from the very beginning (the Alsatian Chamber of Commerce CCI and Météo France), which the University of Basel, the Albert-Ludwigs-University of Freiburg, the Université de Haute-Alsace in Mulhouse (UHA), the University of Koblenz-Landau and the University of Lausanne have joined.

Das Projekt „Clim’Ability – Klimaanpassungsstrategien für Unternehmen am Oberrhein“ entstand aus dem interdisziplinären Forschungsprojekt ANR-SECIF über Klimadienstleistungen für die französische Industrie. Es wurde von der französischen Forschungsgemeinschaft ANR finanziert und von Pascale Braconnot, einer Klimatologin am IPSL (Institut Pierre-Simon Laplace, Paris), geleitet. Informationen zum Projekt ANR-SECIF (französisch): In einer soziologischen Fallstudie wurden Interviews mit verschiedenen elsässischen Akteuren aus den Bereichen Klimaschutz, Energie und Unternehmen geführt. Ziel war es, das Bewusstsein der Unternehmen in Bezug auf den Klimawandel zu ermitteln und Strategien zur Anpassung an den Klimawandel zu entwickeln. Angesichts des Erfolgs dieser Herangehensweise haben die elsässischen Projektträger (INSA Strasbourg, Florence Rudolf, Prof. für Soziologie) mit den Partnern der ersten Stunde (die elsässische Handelskammer CCI und Météo France) ein grenzüberschreitendes Projekt in die Wege geleitet, dem sich die Universität Basel, die Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg, die Université de Haute-Alsace in Mulhouse (UHA), die Universität Koblenz-Landau und die Universität Lausanne angeschlossen haben.
