Description (EN): What does an adventure with Nysa mean? This is a dream, this is a goal. Several decades ago, a piece of land a couple of hundred metres away from the river was fenced with barbed wire. Afterwards, areas located close to the river were mainly used by farmers, while the border river separated two nations. In 2009, when the project was initiated, there were large disproportions both in terms of the infrastructure and the mentality. Many new routes, buildings, boards, or even museums and bridges have been created on both sides of the boarder since that time. The project has gained its own brand. However, there is still a lot to be done. The infrastructure still needs to be supported - both in Poland and in Germany - in order to create appropriate conditions for more and more demanding recipients. It is important to equip the existing and to create new recreational and tourist facilities, as well as to connect them with pathways, routes and roads, which will enhance the attractiveness of the support area by maintaining and making a conscious use of the potential of the common heritage and by enhancing the accessibility of tourist and cultural attractions. Information facilities are of crucial importance - appropriately marked places of rest for tourists, a portal, the media, fairs, recreational and tourist events. The activities will contribute to strengthening the social cohesion and the tourist attractiveness of the borderland. They will also enhance the recognisability and popularity of the borderland. To do that, people will cooperate with each other to disseminate tourist information (networking workshops). Such a large spectrum of activities will enhance the tourist potential of the region, while the cross-border cooperation, which is present on each level and in each dimension of the project, will facilitate the overcoming of development barriers. Nysa Łużycka is to be a bolding link, while the project “Adventure with Nysa” has the potential to become a representative venture in the borderland.

Vor einigen Jahrzehnten war einigen hundert Metern langer Streifen entlang des Flusses mit Stacheldraht eingezäunt. Später diente das Gelände unweit des Flusses hauptsächlich den Landwirten und der Grenzfluss teilte zwei Nationen. Als 2009 die Arbeiten am Projekt begannen, konnte man ein großes Missverhältnis erkennen, sowohl in Bezug auf die Infrastruktur als auch mental. Seit dieser Zeit sind viele neue Wege, Objekte, Tafeln und sogar Museen und Brücken auf beiden Seiten der Grenze entstanden. Das Projekt bekam sein eigenes Markenzeichen. Es bleibt jedoch noch viel zu tun. Die Infrastruktur sowohl auf PL als auch auf DE Seite sollte weiterhin unterstützt werden, um entsprechende Voraussetzungen für immer anspruchsvollere Abnehmer zu schaffen. Wichtig ist die Ausstattung bestehender sowie Schaffung neuer Freizeit -und Tourismusanlagen und diese mit Wege, Routen und Strecken zu verbinden, was die Attraktivität des Fördergebietes durch Erhaltung und bewusste Nutzung des Potenzials des gemeinsamen Erbes und die Zugänglichkeit zu den tour.und kulturellen Attraktionen erhöht. Besonders wichtig ist auch die Information -entsprechend gekennzeichnete Rastplätze für Touristen, Internetportal, Medien, Messen, Freizeit-und Tourismus-Events. Diese Maßnahmen werden zur Stärkung der sozialen Kohäsion und der tour. Attraktivität der Grenzregion beitragen.Sie werden auch bei der Erhöhung des Bekanntheitsgrades und der Beliebtheit der Grenzregion helfen. Dafür sollte auch die Kooperation der Personen, welche sich mit der mit der Informationen befassen, dienen (Vernetzungs-Workshop). So ein breites Spektrum der Maßnahmen wird das tour. Potenzial der Region stärken und die auf allen Ebenen des Projekts präsentierte grenzüberschreitende Zusammenarbeit wird die Überwindung der Barrieren in der Entwicklung beeinflussen. Read more Description (PL): Co to jest Przygoda z Nysą? to marzenie, to cel. Kilkadziesiąt lat temu pas kilkuset metrów od rzeki był ogrodzony drutem kolczastym. Później tereny nieopodal rzeki służyły głównie rolnikom a rzeka graniczna dzieliła dwa narody. Kiedy w 2009 r. rozpoczęły się prace nad projektem widać było duże dysproporcje, zarówno pod względem infrastrukturalnym jak i mentalnym. Od tego czasu powstało wiele nowych szlaków, obiektów, tablic a nawet muzeów i mostów po obu stronach granicy. Projekt zyskał swoją markę. Jednak wiele jeszcze zostało do zrobienia. W dalszym ciągu infrastruktura powinna zostać wsparta – zarówno po polskiej – jak i po niemieckiej stronie, aby stworzyć odpowiednie warunki dla coraz bardziej wymagających odbiorców. Ważne jest wyposażenie istniejących, tworzenie nowych obiektów rekreacyjnych i turystycznych a także połączenie ich ścieżkami, szlakami, traktami, co zwiększy atrakcyjność obszaru wsparcia poprzez utrzymanie i świadome wykorzystanie potencjału wspólnego dziedzictwa oraz zwiększeniu dostępności atrakcji turystycznych i kulturowych. Niezmiernie istotna jest także Informacja – odpowiednio oznaczone miejsca odpoczynku dla turystów, portal, media, targi, eventy rekreacyjno – turystyczne. Działania te przyczynią się do wzmocnienia spójności społecznej i atrakcyjności turystycznej pogranicza. Pomogą też w zwiększeniu rozpoznawalności i popularności pogranicza. Do czego służyć ma także kooperacja ludzi zajmujących się przekazywaniem informacji turystycznych (warsztaty sieciowania). Tak szerokie spektrum działań wzmocni potencjał turystyczny regionu a współpraca transgraniczna obecna na każdym poziomie i każdej płaszczyźnie projektu wpłynie na przezwyciężanie barier rozwojowych. Nysa Łużycka ma być ogniwem spajającym, a projekt Przygoda z Nysą ma szanse stać się reprezentacyjnym przedsięwzięciem na pograniczu.
Read more Achievements (EN): The “Adventure Neiße” project focused on balancing tourism standards in the European Union and on creating optimal conditions for the realisation of cross-border cooperation in tourism development and on strengthening contacts between the inhabitants of the cooperating self-government and institutions.
The project required the improvement of the quality of the tourist equipment through the revitalisation of existing cycle paths, hiking trails, hiking and cycling routes, waterways and equestrian trails as well as the construction of the new tourist routes. The measures taken contributed to the balance of inequalities between border regions. Thanks to the ongoing work on creating a unified coherent whole, Polish and German tourists can learn about the traditions, customs and culture of their neighbours and enjoy their free time with the use of the rich tourist facilities. Thanks to the efficient implementation of the further phases of the project, the inhabitants of the border areas as well as tourists have gained the opportunity to use the hundreds of kilometres of newly built cycle paths and the Lusatian Neiße as the marked waterway.
The IV. Phase of the project “Adventure Neiße: tourist management of the German-Polish border region" is realised by nine partners: Municipality Zgorzelec, district Görlitz, municipality Krauschwitz, Kulturinsel Einsiedel e.V., district Żary, municipality Łęknica, town Zgorzelec and municipality Pieńsk and Försterei Lipinki. The funding shall be EUR 2 590 571.25 and the project shall be co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund under the INTERREG Co-operation Project for Poland-Saxony 2014-
2020.
Read more Achievements (DE): Das Projekt das „Abenteuer Neiße” konzentrierte sich auf dem Ausgleich der touristischen Standards in der Europäischen Union sowie auf der Schaffung von optimalen Bedingungen zur Realisierung der grenzüberschreitenden Zusammenarbeit in der Tourismusentwicklung und auf dem Ausbau der Kontakte zwischen den Bewohnern der kooperierenden Selbstverwaltungen und Institutionen.
Das Projekt setzte die Verbesserung der Qualität der touristischen Ausstattung durch die Revitalisierung bestehender Radwege, Wanderwege, Wander- und Radstrecken, Wasserwege und Reiterwege sowie den Bau der neuen touristischen Routen voraus. Die ergriffenen Maßnahmen trugen zum Ausgleich der Ungleichheiten zwischen den Grenzregionen bei. Dank der andauernden Arbeit an der Schaffung einer einheitlichen kohärenten Ganzheit können polnische und deutsche Touristen Traditionen, Bräuche und Kultur der Nachbarn kennenlernen und ihre Freizeit mit der Nutzung der reichen touristischen Ausstattung aktiv genießen. Dank der effizienten Umsetzung der weiteren Phasen des Projekts haben die Bewohner der Grenzgebiete sowie die Touristen u.a. die Möglichkeit gewonnen, die Hunderte von Kilometern von neu errichteten Radwegen und die Lausitzer Neiße als den markierten Wasserweg zu nutzen.
Die IV. Phase des Projekts „Abenteuer Neiße: touristische Bewirtschaftung der deutsch-polnischen Grenzregion” wird von neun Partnern realisiert: Gemeinde Zgorzelec, Landkreis Görlitz, Gemeinde Krauschwitz, Kulturinsel Einsiedel e.V., Landkreis Żary, Gemeinde Łęknica, Stadt Zgorzelec und Gemeinde Pieńsk sowie Försterei Lipinki.
