Description (EN): Public differentiation is an old phenomena and therefore excluded was at all times, but only in recent decades social exclusion has gained and is still gaining a greater extent and forms. Because of the polarization of society and social and economic conditions change, certain groups of people in both Lithuania and Latvia felt unsafe and unable to adapt to the rapidly changing pace of life and conditions, it became totally or divides deprived.
A new decision of the project will be establishes as creating common area for families. This area will be available to all residents. It will seek to integrate the marginalized community in public life.
The main objective of the project is to reduce the social divide between deprived communities and other communities thereby improving living conditions of deprived communities.
Two partners are involved in this project, Ilukste municipality and Kretinga municipality.
Read more Description (LT): Visuomenės diferenciacija yra senas reiškinys, tačiau visais laikais į tai nebuvo kreipiamas visuomenės dėmesys, bet tik pastaraisiais dešimtmečiais socialinė atskirtis įgijo didesnį mastą ir formas.Dėl visuomenės socialinių ir ekonominių sąlygų pokyčių poliarizacijos, tam tikros grupės žmonių tiek Lietuvoje, tiek Latvijoje jaučiasi nesaugūs ir negali prisitaikyti prie sparčiai kintančio gyvenimo tempo ir sąlygų, jie tampa dalinai arba visiškai atskirti.
Projekto metu bus kuriami nauji šių problemų sprendimo būdai, kuriant bendras erdves šeimoms, kurios bus prieinamos visiems gyventojams. Tap bus siekiama integruoti skurdžias, nutolusias bendruomenės į viešą gyvenimą.
Pagrindinis šio projekto tikslas yra mažinti socialinė atskirtį tarp nutolusių bendruomenių ir kitų aktyvių bendruomenių, taip gerinant gyvenimo sąlygas atskirtoms, nutolusioms bendruomenėms.
Šiame projekte dalyvauja du partneriai, Ilukste savivaldybė ir Kretingos rajono savivaldybė.
Read more Description (LV): Sabiedrības diferencēšanās ir sens fenomens, taču sabiedrība tam nepievērsa īpašu uzmanību. Tikai pēdējos gadu desmitos sociālā atstumtība ir kļuvusi par progresējošu sociālo problēmu, arī tās izpausmes veidu dažādība pieaug. Sociālā atstumtība ir kļuvusi par atzītu problēmu no arī sabiedrības puses, un tās mazināšanai tiek meklēti arvien jauni risinājumi.
Sakarā ar sabiedrības polarizāciju un sociālo un ekonomisko apstākļu izmaiņām, noteiktas cilvēku grupas gan Lietuvā, gan Latvijā jūtas nedroši un nespēj pielāgoties strauji mainīgajiem dzīves tempiem un apstākļiem, kļūst pilnīgi vai daļēji atstumtas.
Tika nolemts projekta ietvaros izveidot kopīgu telpu ģimenēm. Šīs iekārtotās teritorijas būs pieejamas visiem iedzīvotājiem. Izveidoto ģimenes atpūtas vietu viena no būtiskākajām funkcijām ir integrēt atstumtās kopienas sabiedriskajā dzīvē.
Galvenais projekta mērķis ir mazināt sociālo plaisu starp trūcīgo kopienām un citām kopienām, tādējādi uzlabojot dzīves apstākļus trūcīgo kopienās.
Šajā projektā ir iesaistīti divi partneri: Ilūkstes novada pašvaldība un Kretingas pašvaldība.
Read more Achievements (EN): Project main output is people from 2 (two) deprived communities (large families, socially excluded people) who are integrated to the social life.
Main project deliverables are:
1. 2 established family valleys (one in Lithuania with children playground equipment (including field drainage works and other land works, small architecture) and other in Latvia with ice skating rink).
Family valley in Latvia.
2. 6 workshops for families. During workshops families had the opportunity to try new methods in communication, parenting, breastfeeding, as well as getting acquainted with food cooking together with the whole family, making handicrafts. These activities brought family members together.
3. 9 meetings with psychologists allowed families in Kretinga to gain knowledge from specialists and consult with them. Meetings with psychologists brought together families by revealing that most of them has similar problems and sharing best experiences in solving them.
4. 44 ice skates were bought and used by Ilukste families.
5. 2 camps (in Latvia and Lithuania) allowed families to meet and communicate while having educational activities, make close ties with each other, share experiences.
To sum up, main output users are families with children. Added value of these outputs was visible and felt even during the start of the project. Activities, planned in the project, are desirable and necessary for families, thus municipality received many suggestions for upcoming meetings and workshops and further works in the family valley.

Expected Results (LV): Mājsaimniecību skaits, kas necieš no piesārņojuma
Expected Outputs (EN): Expected project results are number of households not facing pollution, grime and other municipal environmental problems.
It is planed that 300 households in Ilukste and 300 households in Kretinga won't face pollutions and grime after family valley will be developed.
