ProGuides vise à augmenter l’attractivité de la haute montagne comme patrimoine naturel et culturel de la Vallée d’Aoste et de la Région Auvergne- Rhône-Alpes, en cherchant à développer les compétences des Guides de Haute Montagne pour promouvoir une offre touristique au niveau transfrontalier. Les objectifs spécifiques du projet sont: • sensibiliser les jeunes (hommes et femmes) issus des territoires locaux en les accompagnants techniquement et culturellement vers le métier de Guide de Haute Montagne ; • augmenter les compétences des Guides, renforcer les synergies entre les Opérateurs de la haute montagne et faciliter la mobilité transfrontalière des professionnels et des stagiaires; • promouvoir auprès des touristes, le rôle essentiel des Guides de Haute Montagne, sous un angle moderne et innovant.

ProGuides aims at increasing the attractiveness of high mountain areas as natural and cultural heritage of the Aosta Valley and the Region Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, by developing high mountain guides’ skills at cross-border level. The specific goals of the project are : - sensitizing young people from local territories by technically and culturally supporting them through the High Mountain Guide job ; - developing guides’ skills, reinforcing synergies between high mountain operators and facilitating cross-border mobility of professionals and trainees ; - promoting the essential role of High Mountain Guides from a modern an innovating angle.

ProGuides si propone di migliorare l'attrattività delle aree di alta montagna come patrimonio naturale e culturale della Valle d'Aosta e della Regione Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, cercando di accrescere le competenze delle Guide di Alta Montagna per promuovere l'offerta turistica a livello transfrontaliero. La valorizzazione del ruolo delle Guide di Alta Montagna, in qualità di protagoniste del turismo delle Alpi, costituisce dunque il primo obiettivo del progetto, che si fonda sulla crescita delle competenze delle guide (accompagnamento alla professione, formazione iniziale, formazione continua), e sulla valorizzazione delle sinergie tra gli Operatori transfrontalieri (Centri di formazione, Sindacati, Compagnie, Professionisti). Questo progetto risponde alle sfide che riguardano la formazione iniziale e continua, l'allargamento delle competenze (in particolare per quanto riguarda la dimensione economica e la comunicazione), la capacità di inserirsi in sistemi di sicurezza e soccorso, la gestione commerciale, il marketing della professione e la mobilità professionale. Gli obiettivi specifici del progetto sono: -Sensibilizzare i giovani (uomini e donne) dei territori locali, accompagnandoli a livello tecnico e culturale verso la professione di Guida di Alta Montagna; -Aumentare le competenze delle Guide, rinforzando le sinergie tra gli Operatori di Alta Montagna e facilitre la mobilità transfrontaliera del personale e degli stagisti; -Promuovere, con modalità moderne ed innovative, il ruolo essenziale delle Guide di Alta Montagna presso i turisti.

Les principaux résultats du projet: • Un nombre d’aspirants au métier de Guide en augmentation, avec une part plus importante de femmes, afin de garantir la pérennité de la profession dans les prochaines années ; • Des parcours et des méthodes de formation harmonisés à un niveau transfrontalier ; • Le développement d’une formation continue qui permette aux guides de devenir un référent pour les services touristiques locaux en tant que ressource pour les stratégies de promotion du produit montagne (marketing de la profession) ; • Une meilleure communication et des échanges d’information renforcés au niveau transfrontalier entre professionnels de la montagne, pour une meilleure gestion de la sécurité dans un territoire fortement interconnecté ; • Une image du guide de montagne mieux valorisée auprès des touristes

Expected Results (EN):

The main results expected are: • An increasing number of persons willing to be Guide, with a more important share of women, to guarantee the sustainability of the profession in the future; • Harmonised academic careers and trainings at cross-border territory level; • Development of a continuing education that allows guides to become referents towards local tourist services and an asset for promotional strategies of the mountain product (marketing of the profession); • A better communication and reinforced information exchanges at cross-border level between mountain professionals, for a better safety management on a territory strongly interconnected; • A better image of the mountain guide towards tourists.

Expected Results (IT):

I principali risultati del progetto sono: • Un numero di aspiranti al mestiere di Guida in aumento, in particolare donne, con il fine di garantire la continuità della professione nei prossimi anni; • Dei percorsi e dei metodi di formazione armonizzati a livello transfrontaliero; • Lo sviluppo di una formazione continua che permetta alle guide di diventare un riferimento per i servizi turistici locali, in qualità di risorse per le strategie di promozione del prodotto «montagna» (marketing della professione); • Una migliore comunicazione e scambi d’informazione rinforzati a livello transfrontaliero tra professionisti della montagna, per una migliore gestione della sicurezza di un territorio fortemente interconnesso; • Una immagine della guida di montagna meglio valorizzata tra i turisti.
