Description (ES): Reto común: Las estaciones de transporte son un foco de consumo de energía y de emisiones de GEI extremada-mente elevados, afectando a la calidad de vida de los ciudadanos y a la imagen de las ciudades. Estos edificios, obligados a consumir grandes cantidades de energía, suelen presentar, desde su construcción hasta su funciona-miento, notables deficiencias en su gestión energética por lo que es preciso actuar para reducir su factura energética y su impacto medioambiental.
Objetivo Principal: Favorecer una economía de bajo nivel de emisiones en los sectores de la edificación y el transporte, mejorando la calidad del aire en las ciudades, actuando sobre las estaciones como objetivo de las políticas energéticas y elemento esencial en la eficiencia global de los centros urbanos.
Principales productos y beneficiarios:El principal producto es una herramienta de evaluación energética de las estaciones a través de sistemas de ingeniería ecológica que determinen su consumo energético y las soluciones a aplicar, y cuya efectividad será probada mediante proyectos-piloto. Se establecerá una red trasnacional de gestores de estaciones permitiendo el intercambio de experiencias y soluciones exitosas, así como directrices para la planificación de las infraestructuras.
Enfoque y justificación de necesidad de cooperación transnacional: El problema detectado es general a nivel del espacio SUDOE y como tal debe ser abordado. La cooperación transnacional es imprescindible para lograr sinergias que superen la actuación a nivel local/nacional. El proyecto se fundamenta en la combinación de los distintos cono-cimientos y capacidades de los socios, desde la formulación teórica, hasta la ejecución y la gestión de las soluciones así como la elaboración de directrices y estrategias a nivel global.
Aspecto innovador: Junto a la aplicación de nuevas técnicas de ingeniería ecológica de modelización y gestión para mejorar la eficiencia energética, el proyecto está ligado a unos edificios que no solo generan un alto consumo energético sino que además pertenecen a un sector, el transporte, que genera el 25% de los GEI en Europa, por lo que se producirá un efecto multiplicador.

Ces bâtiments présentent depuis leur construction jusqu'à leur fonctionnement de notables déficiences dans leur gestion énergétique, nécessitant des actions pour réduire leur facture énergétique ainsi que leur impact environnemental.
Objectif principal: favoriser une économie pour obtenir un plus bas niveau des émissions dans la construction et améliorer la qualité de l'air dans les villes en intervenant sur les gares routières en tant qu'objectif des politiques énergétiques et en tant qu'élément essentiel dans les politiques d'efficacité énergétique dans les centres urbains.
Principal produit et bénéficiaires: le principal produit est la création d'un outil d'évaluation énergétique de ces lieux par des systèmes d'ingénierie écologique qui détermineront leur consommation énergétique ainsi que les solutions appliquées et dont la pertinence sera testée dans des projets-pilote. On créera un réseau transnational de gestionnaires pour permettre un échange d'expériences et de solutions efficaces. En outre, ce projet produira des préconisations pour la planification d'infrastructures.
Raisons et justification d'une coopération transnationale: le problème repéré est généralisé dans l'espace SUDOE et c'est donc à ce niveau spatial qu'il doit être abordé. La coopération transnationale est indispensable pour obtenir des synergies permettant de dépasser le niveau local ou national. Le projet s'appuie sur la combinaison des différentes connaissances et capacités des partenaires, depuis l'approche technique jusqu'à la mise en oeuvre et la gestion des solutions ainsi que sur l'élaboration des préconisations et les stratégies au niveau global.

Read more Description (EN): Transportation stations’ consumption of energy and GHG emissions is extremely high and that affects citizens' quality of life and the image of the cities in which they are located. These buildings have, since their construction until their operation, significant deficiencies in their energy management, requiring actions to reduce their energy bill and their environmental impact.
The main objective is to achieve a lower level of emissions in construction and to improve air quality in cities by intervening at bus stations. This objective is a central part of energy efficiency policies in urban centers.
The main product is the creation of an energy evaluation tool of these places by ecological engineering systems that will determine their energy consumption as well as the solutions that can be applied and whose relevance will be tested in pilot projects. A transnational network of managers will be created to enable the exchange of experiences and effective solutions. In addition, this project will produce recommendations for infrastructure planning.
The problem identified is generalized in the SUDOE space, therefore this spatial level is a very interesting approach. Transnational cooperation is essential for achieving synergies that go beyond the local or national level. The project relies on the combination of different knowledge and capabilities of the partners, from the technical approach to the implementation and management of solutions as well as the development of recommendations and strategies at the global level.
The innovative aspect lies in the fact that we will apply new ecological engineering techniques of modeling and energy management. This project concerns buildings that not only generate high energy consumption but also belong to the transport sector, which generates 25% of GHGs in Europe.
Read more Achievements (EN): SUDOE STOP CO2 ensures efficient energy management of passenger stations and transport centres located in urban centres using a BIM methodology.
The use of renewable energy does not exceed 5% of the stations and only 14% have an energy efficiency certificate. Thus, among the activities developed by the project, they tried to change the behaviour of the station managers by developing a simplified methodology of energy self-assessment that allows identifying the existing energy deficiencies. Based on this, the stations can be included in a network of sustainable stations created by the project and which counts on 60 stations in the SUDOE’s area today.
Another important point of the project has been the definition of an energy management methodology for transport stations through digital modelling tools (BIM methodology). All this was achieved through the definition of optimal development levels for this type of infrastructure, the characterization of elements and the realization of a market study that allowed defining in detail the appropriate software.
Following the definition of the methodology, 6 pilot projects were carried out to apply it, at the Arcachon, Libourne, Porto, Cartagena, Santander and Torrelavega stations, based on different specific objectives, which were monitored through SMART technology. In addition, an itinerant exhibition of the project was held in Lisbon, Bordeaux, O Porto, Cartágena, Santander, Santa Pola and Torrelavega.
Likewise, a manual of good practices has been produced for the efficient management of transport stations and thus guarantee a transferability of methodologies to other stations.
