Das Projektziel ist die Schaffung eines grenzübergreifenden Geoparks zur Aufwertung des gemeinsamen geologischen Erbes durch populärwissenschaftliche Aktivitäten, Know-How-Austausch und Erhöhung der touristischen Attraktivität. Dies soll aktiv zur nachhaltigen Entwicklung des Gebiets beitragen. Dieses Ziel wird durch folgende Aktivitäten verwirklicht: - Bildung einer grenzübergreifenden Arbeitsgruppe. - Durchführung wissenschaftlicher Studien und Forschungsarbeiten im Projektgebiet, deren Ergebnisse durch Wanderausstellungen und Publikationen veröffentlicht werden. - Errichtung von Infopoints, Besucherzentren und Ausstellungsräumlichkeiten mit multimedialen Technologien und Exponaten. - Schaffung von grenzübergreifenden Geo-Trails. - Entwicklung von Ausbildungs- und Fortbildungslehrgängen für Fachkräfte. - Erstellung eines grenzübergreifenden Programms für populärwissenschaftliche und didaktische Veranstaltungen zur Förderung des geologischen Wissens und gegenseitiger Besuche. - Entwicklung einer gemeinsamen Marketing- und Werbestrategie. - Schaffung von mehrsprachigen Publikationen und Dokumentarfilmen. - Schaffung eines Geoinformationssystems (GIS) zur Unterstützung der territorialen Verwaltung des Geoparks. - Studie über Organisations- und Managementmodelle zur Konsolidierung der Organisationsstruktur des Geoparks.

Description (IT):

Il progetto prevede la creazione di un Geoparco transfrontaliero nelle Alpi Carniche, per valorizzare il patrimonio geologico ed elaborare strategie di sviluppo sostenibile dell’area, rafforzando la consapevolezza del valore del patrimonio naturale, favorendo l’equilibrio tra crescita e tutela/buona gestione dell’ambiente, promovendo la cultura scientifica, incrementando l’attrattività turistica delle aree coinvolte. A tal fine sono previste le seguenti azioni: - creazione di un gruppo di lavoro transfrontaliero, - realizzazione di ricerche scientifiche trasversali all’area progetto, i cui risultati, oltre ad accrescere la conoscenza sull’area, sfoceranno in mostre itineranti, pubblicazioni scientifico-divulgative, - realizzazione di infopoint e allestimenti con tecnologie multimediali, - creazione di itinerari geologici anche transfrontalieri, - creazione di percorsi formativi e di una “guida delle guide” per formare figure professionali adeguate, - elaborazione di un programma condiviso di iniziative divulgative e didattiche ed eventi per promuovere la conoscenza geologica e la frequentazione del Geoparco, - progettazione e gestione di un piano di comunicazione e di marketing per la promozione del geoparco transfrontaliero, - produzione di pubblicazioni plurilingue e videodocumentari, - creazione di un sistema informativo territoriale (GIS) a supporto della gestione territoriale del Geoparco, - studio di modelli organizzativi per consolidare l’assetto del Geoparco.

Description (EN):

The project provides for the creation of a cross-border Carnic Alps geopark, to valorise the geological heritage and elaborate strategies for sustainable development of the involved area in order to reinforce the awareness about the value of natural heritage, promote the balance between growth and protection of the environment as well as scientific culture, and enhance the touristic attractiveness of the involved regions. To this end, the project will entail the following actions: - creation of a cross-border working group; - scientific research regarding the whole area involved in the project; the results will be used for travelling exhibitions as well as for scientific and educational publications; - info-point, use of multimedia technologies; - creation or renewal of (cross-border) geologic itineraries; - creation of educational paths and of a “guide of guides” in order to provide proper training - preparation of a shared programme of educational activities and events in order to promote geological knowledge and increase visits to the geopark; -drafting and managing of a communication and marketing plan for the promotion of the cross-border geopark; - production of publications and videos (documentaries); - creation of a GIS system supporting the territorial management of the geopark; - study of organization models for the consolidation of the geopark.

Expected Results (DE):

Geoparks sind Gebiete mit außergewöhnlichen Fossil- und Mineralfundstellen und kulturell wertvollen Stätten. Sie bedürfen eine nachhaltige Entwicklungsstrategie. In der Bergregion an der Grenze zwischen Friaul und Kärnten gibt es mehr als 130 Geo-Standorte; viele davon liegen in zum Natura-2000 Netz gehörenden Naturschutzgebieten (3 BSG und 16 GGBs liegen in dem Projektgebiet). Außerdem gibt es zahlreiche historisch und kulturell interessante Stätten. Das Gebiet umfasst sowohl die italienische, als auch die österreichische Seite der zentralen Karnischen Alpen mit dem paläozoischen Kern und das obere Tagliamentotal mit Zeugnissen der Trias. Damit besitzt das Gebiet der Berggemeinschaft Karnien, der Berggemeinschaft des Gemonese, Eisen- und Kanaltals und des Vereins Geopark Karnische Alpen eine grenzübergreifende und einzigartige Geologie. Das betrachtete Gebiet hat demnach eine große Bedeutung für den grenzübergreifenden kulturellen Tourismus und für den Naturtourismus. Es handelt sich um eine strategische Ressource zur Förderung eines nachhaltigen Wachstums des Gebietes. Das Projektziel ist daher die Schaffung eines grenzübergreifenden Geoparks zur Aufwertung der gemeinsamen geologischen Vorkommen, der zu einer nachhaltigen Entwicklung des Territoriums beiträgt. Der Grundgedanke ist, dass durch die Vertiefung und die Verbreitung von Wissen das Bewusstsein für den Wert des natürlichen Erbes gestärkt und ein Gleichgewicht zwischen der Notwendigkeit des Wachstums und dem Schutz der Schätze der Umwelt erzielt wird. Das geologische Erbe geht über die administrativen Grenzen hinaus und dient als Motor für die grenzübergreifende Mobilität, die direkte Erfahrung und die Wissensverbreitung. Die wissenschaftliche Kultur, der Know-how-Transfer, die Entwicklung von Dienstleistungen und die Erhöhung der touristischen Attraktivität sind auch eine Ressource zur Förderung des Wirtschaftswachstums der beteiligte Gebiete.

Expected Results (IT):

Per geoparco si intende un territorio che possiede un patrimonio geologico particolare e una strategia di sviluppo sostenibile, siti geologici di rilievo e altri significativi dal punto di vista storico-culturale (def. Unesco). L'area montana al confine tra Friuli e Carinzia possiede un patrimonio geologico di oltre 130 geositi, molti dei quali si trovano in aree inserite nella Rete Natura 2000 (3 ZPS e 16 SIC rientrano nel territorio interessato dal progetto). Numerosi sono, inoltre, i siti di rilievo storico-culturale. L’area comprende la Catena Carnica Centrale nei versanti italiano e austriaco, per il nucleo Paleozoico, e l’Alta Val Tagliamento per i siti del Triassico: un unicum geologico naturalmente transfrontaliero situato nei territori delle Comunità Montane della Carnia e Gemonese-Val Canale-Canal del Ferro e del Geopark Dellach. Il territorio considerato rivela, quindi, una spiccata vocazione ad un turismo culturale e naturalistico transfrontaliero. Si tratta di una risorsa strategica ai fini di una crescita sostenibile e intelligente dell’area. Obiettivo del progetto è la creazione di un geoparco transfrontaliero, strumento indispensabile per valorizzare il patrimonio geologico comune e elaborare strategie per lo sviluppo sostenibile del territorio. La filosofia di fondo è quella di rafforzare, attraverso l’incremento e la trasmissione di conoscenze, la consapevolezza del valore del patrimonio naturale, favorendo l’equilibrio tra esigenza di crescita e necessità di tutela e buona gestione di un ambiente insostituibile. Il patrimonio geologico, che trascende naturalmente i confini amministrativi, è inteso come stimolo alla mobilità transfrontaliera, all’esperienza diretta, alla divulgazione della conoscenza. La cultura scientifica, lo scambio di know-how, la qualificazione di professionalità e servizi che si muovono verso i cittadini, l’incremento dell’attrattività turistica costituiscono una risorsa anche di crescita economica delle aree coinvolte.
