Description (EN): Unfortunately, the inhabitants of the target area, especially young people, do not have factual information about those living across the border, the events happening there. Their knowledge is often at the level of stereotypes, even prejudices, which is an extremely bad practice. The objective is basically teaching young people to use the media correctly in order to become open-minded and sensible adults, who are able to assess the authenticity of the information, thus their prejudice decrease a nd they can be more conscious citizens of the European Union. Accordingly, the project aims to learn about the media consumption habits of the inhabitants of the cross-border region, i.e. where they get information, what and where they read, and whet her they are aware of the operation of the media and the authenticity of the sources. The following outputs are developed in the course of understanding the media consumption habits of the youth living in the cross-border regions: 1) the results of media consumption and authenticity survey, 2) teaching material and educational concept for those involved in secondary and tertiary education, 3) media literacy campaign: a multi-episode programme series involving the media operating in the border r egion in order to learn about the neighbouring country, which presents general information of the neighbouring country. 4) open days targeted at promoting more conscious media consumption, and 5) school trainings: the educational programme is introd uced as a pilot programme by the journalists involved in the project in the schools and higher educational institutions. By involving the media operating in the cross-border region, the target groups receive general information about the neighbouring country. All this is very important in forming attitudes related to the neighbouring countries, as knowledge and awareness substantially reduces prejudices and may strengthen cooperations.
Read more Description (SK): Bohužiaľ mladí ľudia nemajú dostatok reálnych informácií o dianiach a o ľuďoch žijúcich v pohraničnom regióne na druhej strane hraníc. Ich znalosti o obyvateľoch a dianiach na druhej strane hraníc sa často pohybujú na úrovni stereotípií a predsudkoch, čo je nevhodná prax.
Hlavným cieľom je naučiť mladú generáciu na správne používanie médií v záujme toho, aby sa z nich stali otvorení a slobodne zmýšľajúci dospelí, ktorí dokážu správne posúdiť pravdivosť informácií a aby sa zároveň zmiernili ich predsudky, aby boli uvedomelými európskymi občanmi. V zmysle toho cieľom projektu je, aby sme spoznali mediálne zvyky ľudí žijúcich v pohraničnom regióne, z akých zdrojov získajú svoje informácie , či je im jasné, ako médiá fungujú, či sú tie zdroje dôveryhodné.
V spoznaní mediálnych zvykov mládeže žijúcej v pohraničnom regióne vznikajú nasledovné výstupy: 1) výsledky prieskumu používania mediálnych zdrojov a ich dôveryhodnosti2) učebný materiál a pedagogická koncepcia pre účastníkov stredoškolského a vysokoškolského stupňa vzdelávania3) kampaň pre mediálne povedomie: za účasti médií v pohraničnom regióne zverejnenie seriálu, ktorý predstaví susednú krajinu v záujme toho, aby boli predstavené všeobecné informácie o susednej krajine, ako ich kultúrne špecifiká, štátne zriadenie, zvyky a obyčaje, podnikateľské prostredie atď. 4) otvorené dni, ktoré majú slúžiť k osvojeniu povedomého používania médií5)školské vzdelávanie: žurnalisti, ktorí sa zúčastnia projektu, v školských zariadeniach predstavia pedagogický pilotný program, odovzdajú účastníkom učivo, týmto zároveň testujú a predstavia bezplatne prístupný učebný materiál školským zariadeniam
Za účasti pohraničných médií cieľové skupiny majú možnosť získať všeobecné vedomosti o susednej krajine (kultúrne špecifiká, zvyky a obyčaje, podnikateľské prostredie), ktoré sú veľmi dôležité vo formovaní prístupu k susedným krajinám, veď vedomosti a znalosti v značnej miere môžu znížiť predsudky a posilniť spoluprácu.
Read more Description (HU): Sajnálatos módon a fiatalok nem rendelkeznek tényszerű ismeretekkel a határ másik oldalán élőkről, az ott történő eseményekről. Ismereteik gyakran sztereotipiák, sőt előítéletek szintjén mozognak, amely rendkívül helytelen gyakorlat.
Alapvetően a fiatalok helyes médiahasználatra tanítása a cél, annak érdekében, hogy nyitott és gondolkodó felnőttek legyenek, akik az információk hitelességét fel tudják mérni, így előítéleteik is csökkennek, tudatosabb európai uniós polgárok lehetnek. Ennek megfelelően a projekt célja az, hogy megismerjük a határmenti régióban élők médiafogyasztási szokásait, azaz hol tájékozódnak, mit és hol olvasnak, illetve tisztában vannak-e a média működésével, a források hitelességével.
A határmenti régiókban élő fiatalok médiafogyasztási szokásainak megértése során az alábbi outputok jönnek létre: 1) médiafogyasztási és hitelességi felmérés eredményei, 2) tananyag és pedagógiai koncepció közép-és felsőfokú oktatásban résztvevőknek, 3) médiatudatossági kampány: a határrégióban működő médiumok bevonásával több részes műsorsorozat a szomszédos ország megismerésének érdekében, amelyben a szomszéd ország általános tudnivalói (pl: kulturális sajátosságai, állami berendezkedése, szokásai, vállalkozási lehetőségei etc) kerülnek bemutatásra. 4) tudatosabb médiafogyasztását ösztönzését célzó nyílt napok, 5) iskolai képzések: a pedagógiai programot a projektben résztvevő újságírók iskolákban és felsőoktatási intézményekben pilot programként bemutatják, a tananyagot leadják, így tesztelve és bemutatva az ingyenesen elérhető lehetőséget az iskoláknak. A határrégióban működő médiumok bevonásával a célcsoportok megismerik a szomszédos ország általános tudnivalóit (kulturális sajátosságok, szokások, vállalkozási lehetőségek), ami rendkívül fontos a jelenlegi, szomszédos országokkal kapcsolatos attitűdök formálása érdekében, hiszen a tudás és ismeret jelentős mértékben csökkenti az előítéleteket és erősítheti az együttműködéseket.

Expected Results (EN): Project serves real people-to-people initiative by inter-institutional cooperation of organizations in the borderland. Members of inhabitants' target groups, as a result of several activities implemented in the project, will not only become more conscious media consumer citizens of the target area, but get closer to each other's country, tolerate and accept each other and living together in the cross-border target area. Finally, this cross-border 'feeling' will be multiplicated in the region.

6, Tangible outcomes: 40 radio programmes and 10 TV programmes broadcasted form the other side of the border in 10 counties of the target region Sharing similar content to social media from both sides of the border (profile to the project, kind of extract of TV programmes will be published SoMe, synergical approach).
7, Tangible outcomes: Try the media open days (10 events in HU and 10 events in SK). At every event 10 chosen persons will participate for a whole day and can try the operation of the medium (20 events * 10 persons).
8, Tangible outcomes: 5-5 trainings held by professional staff of Beneficiaries in HU,SK (pilot programme in high schools and higher education institutions) 5-5 Transferring curricula + teaching know-how to teachers and parents (training of trainers for multiplication) held by professional staff of Beneficiaries in HU,SK.
