The common challenge is to increase the number and prolong the length of cultural visits in the region. The main objective of the project is to benefit more from the rich cultural heritage of Győr, Dunajska Streda and the region by improving the citi es’ cultural repertoire based on the innovative mutual cooperation of local artists, decision makers, the local civil society, and entrepreneurs. A small scale infrastructural investment and the upgrade of the existing equipment will provide greater comfort for the visitors, improving the value of the developed common cultural programmes. The established Cultural Action Group will develop a common cultural action plan on how to optimise and broaden the cultural repertoire of the western cross-bo rder region and the given circumstances of the existing festivities. The commencing or final days of several days long traditional cultural events of one city will be relocated to partner cities with less organisational experience for the sake of pra ctical know how transfer. Cultural shows will travel between the two partners to increase the local cultural offer and prolong the length of cultural visits. These initiatives shall result in growth of the number of visits and longer stays within the region as a whole. Big and small scale common yearly cultural events will be planned and realised between the two cities. Through the cross border cooperation cultural and leisure excursions could be connected, as Győr is the closest city to Dunajsk a Streda, having a broad cultural programme, whilst Dunajska Streda can offer rich variety of outdoor activities. By combining these two both cultural and natural heritage can be promoted and benefited by the visitors. The attraction of more visitors leads to an increase of employment in the region, providing better living circumstances for locals, resulting in stronger connections to their residence.

Zámerom projektu je zvýšenie počtu návštevníkov dotknutých regiónov a predĺženie stráveného času v cieľovej destinácii. Hlavným cieľom je zlepšenie využitia kultúrneho dedičstva (potenciálu) miest Győr a Dunajská Streda vrátane pohraničného regiónu, a to rozšírením ponuky kultúrneho vyžitia, spoliehajúc sa na spoluprácu s miestnymi umelcami, tvorcami politík, zástupcami tretieho sektora a podnikateľmi. Cieľom projektu je zvýšenie úrovne existujúcich služieb budovaním potrebnej infraštruktúry súčasných zariadení. Realizáciou projektu dôjde k obohateniu kultúrneho bohatstva oboch miest a to rozšírením ponuky spoločných kultúrnych podujatí. V rámci projektu bude zriadená akčná skupina, ktorá vypracuje akčný plán spoločného kultúrneho rozvoja, ktorého úlohou bude propagácia a rozšírenie existujúcich a nových kultúrnych podujatí. V prípade kultúrnych podujatí sa v posledný deň viacdňového podujatia uskutoční stretnutie v sídle menej skúseného partnera, čo napomôže odovzdaniu si praktických skúseností (know how). Kultúrne podujatia sa budú navzájom vymieňať za účelom spestrenia programovej ponuky. Výsledkom týchto iniciatív by malo byť zvýšenie počtu voľnočasových aktivít (čo sa odzrkadlí v počte hosťujúcich nocí). Prostredníctvom projektu sa uskutoční niekoľko malých a veľkých kultúrnych podujatí počas kalendárneho roka v oboch partnerských mestách. V súčasnosti sa mesto Győr môže pochváliť živým a bohatým kultúrnym životom a mesto Dunajská Streda na oplátku ponúka množstvo outdoorových aktivít. Predpokladáme, že využitie a vzájomné prepojenie kultúrneho potenciálu oboch miest v synergii so spoločnou propagáciou prírodného dedičstva ako aj možností kultúrneho vyžitia vzbudí zvýšený záujem o región. V dôsledku stúpajúceho nárastu počtu návštevníkov regiónu možno očakávať zvýšenie zamestnanosti a životnej úrovne miestnych obyvateľov, čo prispeje aj k vytvoreniu nových a posilneniu existujúcich väzieb v dotknutých regiónoch.

A projektpartnerek közös kihívása a régióba érkező látogatók számának növelése és itt töltött idejének meghosszabbítása. A projekt fő célja Győr, Dunaszerdahely és a régió gazdag kulturális örökségének jobb kihasználása a városok kulturális repertoárjának fejlesztésével, helyi művészek, döntéshozók, a civil társadalom és vállalkozók innovatív együttműködésére támaszkodva. A projekt célja a meglévő szolgáltatások magasabb színvonalra emelése kisléptékű infrastrukturális beruházással, valamint a meglévő felszerelések fejlesztésével. A projekt eredményeként színesítjük a meglévő kulturális és fesztivál kínálatot a két város közös programjaival kibővítve. Az projekt keretében felállított kulturális akciócsoport egy közös kulturális akcióterv kidolgozásával segíti a meglévő kulturális felhozatal népszerűsítését és a kínálat bővítését. A hagyományos kulturális események első vagy utolsó napja a kevesebb tapasztalattal rendelkező partnervárosban lesznek megtartva, ezzel elősegítve a gyakorlati tudás átadását. A kulturális eseményeket utaztatni is fogjuk a két partner között, hogy a kínálatot így is bővítsük és színesítsük. A kezdeményezések hatására növekedni fog a régióba érkezők száma és az itt eltöltött szabadidős tevékenységek hossza (ami a vendégéjszakák számában nyilvánul meg). Évente több nagyobb és kisebb kulturális rendezvénynek ad otthont a projekt keretében a két város. A kulturális és szabadidős programok a határmenti együttműködés keretében jól összekapcsolhatók, hiszen Győr és Dunaszerdahely igen közel fekszik egymáshoz. Győr pezsgő kulturális élettel büszkélkedhet a régióban, míg Dunaszerdahely gazdag szabadtéri programokat kínál. A kulturális élet és a természeti örökség összefonódása együttes népszerűsítésével tervezzük szélesebb rétegek érdeklődését felkelteni. A régió látogatószámának növekedése eredményeképp várhatóan nő a foglalkoztatottság, a helyiek életszínvonala, ami végső soron a régióhoz való szorosabb kötődést eredményez.

Formation of a Cultural Action Group: During the project, the Cultural Action Group (KACS) was set up with the participation of the Arrabona EGTC, whose members represent representatives of the key artistic and cultural societies and organizations of Győr and Dunaszerdahely, and the EGTC's tourism experts. expansion. Promoting joint cross-border cultural programs: The Cultural Action Group, set up with the help of the Arrabona EGTC, is the result of a spectacular collaboration in the organization and co-organization of events to promote each other. The so-called KACS cultural events provide an excellent opportunity for smaller artistic groups and companies to show themselves to a wide audience across borders. Thus, the realization of the continuous cooperation and joint events beyond the implementation period of the project. Creating an active and cultural tourism platform: As a result of the planned developments, an online tourism platform consisting of several modules with a community function would be created, which would collect and jointly offer the tourist attractions of Csallóköz and Szigetköz (the site would include not only cultural attractions, but also sports activities and hiking trails). The aim of the development is to provide visitors to the region with a wide range of information in order to draw attention to the natural and cultural values that can be found here, thus contributing to the promotion of the border region and the increase in the time spent here. Due to the affected areas, the present development can be considered as unique and specific, as it aims to address the opportunities for active tourism in Győr that want high-quality cultural experiences and include the natural treasures typical of Szigetköz-Csallóköz.
