Description (EN):

The Forestry arboretum Kysihýbel in Banská Štiavnica (SK) and also the Botanical Garden in Sopron(HU) are closely bound up with Hungarian higher education in forestry. These common heritage is still living also through cooperation of Banská Štiavnica and Sopron as twinning towns. However the both objects have rich history, nevertheless they do not fully use their tourist potential and attractiveness in region. From this point of view there are huge needs for increasing awareness about them and attractiveness of both cultural - natural monuments. These objects don´t possess many appropriate facilities which would serve for visitors. In the proposed project we plan to make the reconstruction of cultural-natural objects Arboretum and Botanic al Garden and to organise some public events oriented to development of tourism in both regions. The main outputs of these activities will be renewal of tree species plots, new visitor centre building, reconstructed administrative building and roads, educational trail, greenhouse, exhibition house, main wooden entrance, activity of forest pedagogy and paths for disabled. Big added value bring new documentary film about arboretum in 5 languages and about the Botanical Garden in 4 languages, whic h will be presented in visitor centres and in medias. All these facilities together with events and services created by this project will increase tourist potential, amount of visitors and attractiveness of the Banská Bystrica self government region and Győr - Moson - Sopron county. Andrej Kmeť big personality of Banská Štiavnica from 19. century said true statement :" Get to know our regions and we will get to know ourselves". We think, that through cross border cooperation, we will increase t he awareness of the monuments of these regions. Common heritage and joint development of our natural-cultural objects bring significantly higher atractiveness of our regions.

Lesnícke arborétum v Kysihýbli pri Banskej Štiavnici a Botanická záhrada v Šoproni sú úzko spojené s históriou lesníckeho vysokoškolského štúdia v Uhorsku. Toto spoločné dedičstvo je naďalej rozvíjané cez družobnú spoluprácu družobných miest Banská Štiavnica a Šoproň. Napriek bohatej spoločnej histórii, obidve prírodno-kultúrne pamiatky v nedostatočnej miere využívajú ich atraktívnosť a turistický potenciál v regiónoch, v ktorých sa nachádzajú. Je veľmi žiadúce aby sa atraktívnosť a celkové povedomie o týchto objektoch zvýšilo aj prostredníctvom vybudovaných objektov a služieb, ktoré tento nedostatok zlepšia. Hlavným cieľom projektu Common heritage - joint future, trees without borders je rekonštrukciu Arboréta (SK) a Botanickej záhrady (HU) za účelom ich zatraktívnenia a zvýšenia turistického potenciálu regiónu ako aj ich zachovania pre budúce generácie. Výstupmi, ktoré budú slúžiť na naplnenie hlavného cieľa je: revitalizácia drevín, rekonštrukcia ciest a chodníkov (bezbarierových), rekonštrukcia administratívnej budovy, rekonštrukcia skleníkov,výstavby návštevného centra, vyhliadkovej veže, výstavba novej drevenej vstupnej brány, interaktívne mapy, a služby lesnej pedagogiky. Veľkou pridanou hodnotou je výroba dokumentárneho filmu o Arboréte a Botanickej záhrade. Všetky tieto výstupy budú slúžiť pre zvýšenie atraktívnosti, návštevnosti a vyšieho turistického potenciálu Banskobystrického VUC a Győr - Moson - Sopron regiónu. Andrej Kmeť, veľká osobnosť, ktorý celý život obetoval výskumu a rozvoju regiónu v okolí Banskej Štiavnice hovorieval: "Spoznávajme kraje svoje a spoznáme samých seba". Sme presvedčení, že prostredníctvom plodov cezhraničnej spolupráce zvýšime povedomie a atraktívnosť naších regiónov.

A magyarországi erdészeti felsőoktatás első botanikus kertje Kisiblyén jött létre (mai Kisiblyei Arborétum), majd az első világháború után, mikor Selmecbányáról költözni kényszerült az akkori akadémia, hoztak létre Sopronban is egy botanikus kertet (mai Egyetemi Élő Növénygyűjtemény). A közös múlt a mai napig élő kapcsolatot eredményezett: egyrészt a két település testvérváros, másrészt a soproni egyetem hallgatói rendszeresen látogatják az ősi Alma Matert és vele együtt az arborétumot. Annak ellenére, hogy mindkét kert nagyon gazdag történelmi háttérrel valamint változatos és vonzó növényanyaggal rendelkezik, a turisztikai potenciálját, természeti-kulturális értékeit egyik sem tudja igazán kamatoztatni. Ezért szükség lenne célzott beruházásokra valamint olyan rendezvényekre, melyekkel felhívnánk a figyelmet kertjeink értékeire szélesebb körben is. Ezek közül legfontosabbak lennének: a növényállományok felújítása, ifjítása, értékes fajokkal való gazdagítása, új látogató központ építése, tanösvények építése, üvegház felújítása, kilátótorony építése, utak felújítása, új bejárati kapu építése, különböző erdőpedagógiai rendezvények tartása, valamint egy sétaút a hiányossággal élőknek. Végezetül a megújult kertekről egy 4 illetve 5 nyelvű dokumentumfilm készítését tűztük ki célul, melyeket akár különböző médiákban, akár a látogató központokban be tudnánk mutatni. Mindezek nagyban hozzájárulnának a két régió turisztikai potenciáljának növekedéséhez, valamint a kertek ismertebbé tételében a határmenti régiókban.
