Description (EN): The project will be implemented with the participation of 3 Hungarian settlements: Hidasnémeti, Abaújvár, Telkibánya, as well as 2 in Slovakia: Perín-Chym and Kechnec. The Lead Partner is Hidasnémeti. Aba-Greenway, the proposed product of the projec t, would be created at the meeting point of landscapes and natural formation, along rivers, currents and hills. It is a built road serving the purposes of recreation, to be used by pedestrians, hikers and bicycle riders, which connects settlements wi th places of historical/cultural memory, as well as some of the major natural assets of the area. The objective of the project is to link the tourism-related assets of the region, and thereby making them more attractive, and to bring tourists to th e region. To this end, the project participants wish to create a “greenway”, whereby the cultural and natural assets of these settlements can be presented jointly, mutually reinforcing each other, and allowing active programmes of several days to vis itors, thus contributing to increasing the number of visitors to the region and the strengthening of the economic potential. The proposed route of the greenway Hidasnémeti-Perín-Chym–Kechnec–Abaújvár–Telkibánya, total length: 26 km. Rest areas will be established along the greenway with benches, tables, fireplaces; in addition, 3-language information signs and direction signs will be installed, showing the local natural/cultural assets. All of this will be supported by the GPS-based mobile tou r application, to be developed in the framework of the project, as well as the project website which can be opened directly, using the QR codes on the information signs. The Aba-Greenway is more than just a road. It showcases the local natural and cultural values, attracts visitors, facilitates tourism and the use of local services, and due to its ecological perspective, it fundamentally promotes responsibility for each other, our environment and our future - on both sides of the border.
Read more Description (HU): A projekt megvalósításában három magyarországi település: Hidasnémeti, Abaújvár, Telkibánya, valamint két szlovákiai település: Perín-Chym és Kechnec vesz részt. A pályázat vezető partnere Hidasnémeti.
A projektben kialakítandó Aba-Greenway tájak találkozásánál, természeti képződmények, folyó- és patakvölgyek, dombok mentén kerül kialakításra. A pihenést, a rekreációt szolgáló, gyalogosok, túrázók és kerékpárosok által használt kiépített út, amely lakott területeket kapcsol össze történelmi és kulturális emlékhelyekkel és a térség legjelentősebb természeti értékeivel.
A projekt célja a térség turisztikai adottságainak összekapcsolása, ezáltal vonzóvá tétele, a turisták jelen desztinációba vonzása. Ennek érdekében a pályázat résztvevői egy zöld utat kívánnak létrehozni, mely által e települések kulturális, természeti értékei közösen tudnak megjelenni,- ezáltal is erősítve egymást,- és amely több napos aktív programot biztosít az ide látogatóknak, ezáltal hozzájárul a térség látogatószámának növekedéséhez, és a gazdasági potenciál erősödéséhez.
A zöld út tervezett nyomvonala: Hidasnémeti - Perín-Chym – Kechnec – Abaújvár – Telkibánya, hossza 26 km. A zöld út mentén pihenők lesznek kialakítva padokkal, asztalokkal, sütőhelyekkel, továbbá háromnyelvű információs táblák, valamint útbaigazító oszlopok lesznek elhelyezve, melyeken bemutatásra kerülnek a helyi természeti és kulturális értékek. Mindezt megtámogatja a projekt keretében kifejlesztésre kerülő GPS alapú mobil túra-applikáció és egy projekt honlap, mely közvetlenül elérhető az információs táblákon elhelyezett QR kódokról.
Az Aba-Greenway több mint út. Képes felmutatni a helyi természeti és kulturális értékeket, látogatókat vonz, elősegíti a turizmust, a helyi szolgáltatások igénybevételét és öko- szemlélete miatt alapvetően a felelősségviselést egymás, a környezetünk, és a jövőnk iránt,- a határ mindkét oldalán egyaránt.
Read more Description (SK): Na realizácií projektu sa podieľajú tri obce z Maďarska, konkrétne Hidasnémeti, Abaújvár, Telkibánya, ako aj dve obce zo Slovenska - Perín-Chym a Kechnec. Vedúcim partnerom je Hidasnémeti.
Realizáciou projektu sa vytvorí Aba-Greenway, cesta, ktorá spája krajiny, prírodné útvary, rieky, údolia a kopce. Vytvorená cesta bude poskytovať možnosti pre oddych a rekreáciu pre turistov a cyklistov ako aj vytvorí spojenie medzi obcami s kultúrnymi pamiatkami a významnými prírodnými útvarmi.
Cieľom projektu je zvýšenie turistickej príťažlivosti danej destinácie pomocou spojenia miestnych turistických atrakcií. Za týmto účelom partneri projektu plánujú vytvoriť zelenú cestu, prostredníctvom ktorej budú prezentované kultúrne, prírodné pamiatky a zaujímavosti. Vytvorená zelená cesta vytvorí možnosť viacdňového aktívneho programu pre turistov, a tak prispeje k zvyšovaniu počtu návštevníkov, a k posilneniu hospodárskeho potenciálu.
Plánovaná trasa zelenej cesty v celkovej dĺžke 26 km povedie cez Hidasnémeti - Perín-Chym – Kechnec – Abaújvár – Telkibánya. Na zelenej ceste budú vybudované odpočívadlá so stôlmi a lavicami, ohniskami, trojjazyčnými informačnými tabuľami, smerovými a informačnými tabuľami, na ktorých budú predstavené miestne prírodné a kultúrne zaujímavosti. To všetko bude podporené vytvorenou mobilnou aplikáciou a domovskou web stránkou, ktorá bude priamo dostupná pomocou QR kódov umiestnených na tabuliach.
Green-way je viac ako cesta. Je schopná prezentovať a poukázať na miestne prírodné a kultúrne hodnoty, láka návštevníkov, podporuje turizmus a zvyšuje dopyt po miestnych službách. Ekologický aspekt projektu napomáha uvedomovať si zodpovednosť voči sebe, svojmu okoliu a budúcnosti na oboch stranách hranice.

Expected Results (EN): In terms of the increase in the number of visitors, in case of Aba-Greenway we calculate with 5,000 persons per year. The number of visitors was determined by way of identifying the target groups, making estimates, and on the basis of earlier planning experiences. The indicator may be measured by way of the number of times the QR codes were read from the signs/pillar along the greenway, and on the basis of the statistics of places of accommodation and tourism.
