Der alpannonia Weitwanderweg wurde als grenzüberschreitender Höhen- und Panoramawanderweg konzipiert und verbindet die Ostalpen mit der pannonischen Ebene. In der Programmperiode 2007-2013 wurde ein ETZ Projekt erfolgreich umgesetzt. Es wurden eine einheitliche Beschilderung, Markierung, Startportale mit Übersichtstafeln sowie infrastrukturelle Maßnahmen entlang der Wege geschaffen. Tourismusbetriebe wurden entlang der Route eingebunden. Die gesetzten Maßnahmen führten zu einem „ersten Wahrnehmen“ dieses in Europa einzigartigen Angebotes, sind aber national und international zu wenig bekannt. Im alpannonia plus Projekt kommt es zur Entwicklung von gemeinsamen Konzepten zur Optimierung und Erweiterung der Wanderwegeführung, zu einer gemeinsamen und nachhaltigen Strategie und Bewirtschaftung der gesamten Wanderdestination, zu einer Qualitätssicherung der Wege und zu einer Qualifizierung touristischer Betriebe nach gemeinsam erarbeiteten Standards für nachhaltigen grünen Tourismus. Perfekte touristische Produkte und Dienstleistungen werden über Know-How-Transfer durch verstärkte Zusammenarbeit der Tourismusbetriebe und Touristiker entwickelt. Wanderführer werden zu speziellen Themen ausgebildet. Neue Kommunikationsplattformen werden eingerichtet um im internationalen Wettbewerb des Öko-Tourismus bestehen zu können. In einigen Gemeinden werden für den Wandertourismus attraktive und notwendige Pilotinvestitionen durchgeführt. Auf operativer Ebene werden Gemeinden, Tourismusorganisationen und Naturparks profitieren. Einheimische, Wandergäste und Tagesgäste werden die neuen Attraktionen und Serviceplätze vermehrt in Anspruch nehmen. Durch innovative Wanderprodukte (Ganzjahreswandern, Wandern und Gesundheit, Winterwandern), deren Bewerbung und Vertrieb wird die Wertschöpfung im Projektgebiet abgesichert und erhöht. Es kommt zu einer nachhaltigen Steigerung der Besucher- und Nächtigungszahlen, wovon regionale Betriebe wirtschaftlich profitieren.

Az alpannonia egy határon átnyúló magashegységi és panoráma túraútvonal, amely a Keleti-Alpokat köti össze a Pannon-síksággal. A 2007-2013 közti támogatási időszakban sikeres ETE projekt valósult meg e témában. Egységes tábla- és jelzésrendszer, áttekintő térképpel felszerelt indulókapuk létesültek, továbbá az útvonal több pontján vonzerőnövelő céllal gyarapodott az ökoturisztikai infrastruktúra. Az útvonal mentén működő turisztikai szolgáltatók úgyszintén bevonásra kerültek. Ezen fejlesztések eredményeként a térség természetjárói ugyan „érzékelték” az Európában egyedülálló kínálatot, azonban az nemzeti és nemzetközi viszonylatban még kevéssé ismert. Az alpannonia plus projekt céljai a közös koncepció mentén az útvonal optimalizálása és bővítése, a túradesztináció egészére hosszú távú működtetési stratégia megalkotása, az útvonalak minőségbiztosítása és a turisztikai szolgáltatók közösen kidolgozott kritériumok alapján történő minősítése a fenntartható, zöld turizmus érdekében. A turisztikai termékek és szolgáltatások tökéletesítése a szolgáltatók és szakértők tudásmegosztása és intenzív együttműködésében történik. A túravezetők speciális területeken kapnak képzést. Új kommunikációs felületek nyílnak, hogy a nemzetközi ökoturisztikai versenyben helytállhasson a termék. Egyes településeken a túrázók számára alapszükségleteket kielégítő-, illetve az útvonalat vonzóbbá tevő infrastrukturális fejlesztések valósulnak meg. A projekt operatív szintjén a települések, turisztikai szervezetek és a natúrparkok mind profitálnak. Az új attrakciókat és pihenőhelyeket igénybe vevő helyiek, napi látogatók vagy hosszútáv túrázók száma gyarapszik. Innovatív termékek (túrázás egész éven át, túra és egészség, téli túra), azok népszerűsítése és értékesítése biztosítja a projekttérségben az értékteremtést, illetve növekedését is. Mindezek által fenntarthatóan növekszik a látogatók és a vendégéjszakák száma, amely a regionális szolgáltatók számára gazdasági haszonnal jár.

Alpannonia is a cross-border alpin and panorama hiking trail which binds the Eastern-Alps with the Pannonian-plain. In the programming period 2007-2013 a successful ETC project was implemented related to this issue. Unified board- and sign-system, start-gates with overview map were established, besides that at some points of the trail ecotouristic infrastructure was expanded in order to enhance attractiveness. Touristic service providers along the trail were also involved in the project. As a result of these developments hikers and nature-lovers could “sense” this unique offer in Europe but its national and international publicity was really low. The main goal of the project alpannonia plus is optimizing and expanding the hiking trail based on common conception, creating a long-term actuation strategy to the whole hiking-destination, quality assurance of the trails and qualification of touristic service providers by common created criteria in favour of sustainable green tourism. Improvement of touristic products and services will be implemented by providers and experts with mutual know-how-transfer and intensive cooperation. Hiking guides will have specialized education. New communication platforms will be established in order to help with standing the competition on the international market of ecotourism. In some settlements infrastructural developments will be carried out to satisfy the basic needs of hikers and to make the trail more attractive. On the operative level of the project settlements, touristic service providers and nature parks will benefit. The number of locals, day-visitors and long-trail hikers who resort to new attractions and resting places will increase. Innovative products (hiking all year, hiking & health, winter hiking) their promotion and merchandizing will insure economic growth in the project area. Through all of these the number of visitors and overnights will sustainably increase so the regional providers will economically benefit.

Expected Outputs (DE): Hauptergebnis ist die Erhöhung der Frequenz auf den Wanderwegen verbunden mit einer Steigerung der wirtschaftlichen Wertschöpfung und der Nächtigungszahlen durch Wandertourismus in den betroffenen Gemeinden der alpannonia Wanderdestination.

Expected Outputs (HU): A projekt fő eredménye a túraútvonalak látogatottságának növekedése, összekapcsolódva az alpannonia túradesztináció érintett településeinek bakancsos turizmus általi gazdasági felértékelődésével és a vendégéjszakák számának növekedésével.
