Description (DE): In Westtransdanubien, im südlichen Burgenland und in der Oststeiermark haben Holz- und Möbelindustrie eine bestimmende Rolle. Letztere Region ist eines der Entwicklungs- und Innovationszentren Europas. Die Entwicklung der Branche wird auf beiden Seiten der Grenze durch mehrere Wirtschaftsentwicklungs- und Clusterorganisationen gestärkt, F&E&I-Kapazitäten sowie Hochschulwesen im Hintergrund sind gegeben, zur grenzübergreifenden Lösung der Probleme gab es zwischen diesen aber erst wenige Initiativen, das vorhandene fachliche Wissen konnte deshalb auch nicht grenzüberschreitend genutzt werden.
Die KMU der Branche sind für die Anwendung neuer Technologien und Innovationen weniger offen sind, und deren Bereitschaft, mit anderen Firmen und Organisationen zu kooperieren, niedrig ist. Das Fehlen von Management-Attitüden, Probleme beim Generationswechsel, Mangel an Marktspezifischen Kenntnissen verursachen eine niedrige Innovationsbereitschaft, nur sporadisch kommt es zu bahnbrechenden Neuerungen. Gleichzeitig zwingen neue Kundenerwartungen und Änderungen der Makroumgebung das Erscheinen auf neuen, internationalen Märkten, mit neuen Produkten. Das in der Grenzregion vorhandene Wissen und die Basis an Grundstoffen ermöglichen eine Kooperation und das Erreichen neuer, internationaler Märkte.
Das umfassende Ziel des Projektes ist die Stärkung der innovationsbasierten internationalen Wettbewerbsfähigkeit von KMUs der Holz- und Möbelindustrie in der AT-HU Grenzregion.
Erhebung der Möglichkeiten einer grenzüberschreitenden, operativen Zusammenarbeit, Erweiterung der Kenntnisse über Marktverhältnisse, Wissenstransfer und Entwicklung von innovativen Nischenprodukten, ein Verwertungssystem, das das Erscheinen auf dem Markt fundiert, eine Umgebung, die Innovation fördert – all das sind Gebiete der gemeinsamen Möglichkeiten der Region. Bei der Umsetzung der Aktivitäten ist der grenzüberschreitend erzielte Mehrwert als Maßstab gilt.
Read more Description (HU): A fa- és bútoripar az egyik legjelentősebb ágazat a Nyugat-Dunántúlon, Dél-Burgenlandban és Kelet-Steiermarkban. Utóbbi térség Európa egyik fejlesztési és innovációs központja. Az ágazat fejlődését a határ mindkét oldalán több gazdaságfejlesztési-, klaszter szervezet segíti, adottak a K+F+I kapacitások valamint a felsőoktatási háttér. E szervezetek között azonban a közös problémák határon átnyúló megoldására kevés kezdeményezés indult, ezért a rendelkezésre álló szakmai tudás eddig nem is hasznosulhatott határon átnyúlóan.
Az ágazatban működő KKV-k új technológiák, innovációk alkalmazására kevésbé nyitottak, más cégekkel, szervezetekkel való együttműködési hajlandóságuk alacsony. A menedzsment szemlélet hiánya, a generációváltás nehézségei, a piaci ismeretek hiányosságai miatt az innovációs hajlandóság csekély, csak szórványosan fordulnak elő áttörő újdonságok. Ugyanakkor az új vásárlói igények és a makrokörnyezet változásai kikényszerítik az új nemzetközi piacokon, új termékekkel történő megjelenést. A határmentén jelen lévő tudás, alapanyagbázis lehetővé teszi az összefogást, és új, nemzetközi piacok közös elérését.
A projekt átfogó célja az AT-HU határtérségben a fa- és bútoripari KKV-k innováció alapú nemzetközi versenyképességének erősítése.
A határon átnyúló operatív együttműködési lehetőségek feltárása, a piaci ismeretek bővítése, a tudástranszfer, az innovatív niche („piaci rés”) termékek fejlesztése, a piacra vitelt megalapozó értékesítési rendszer, az innovativitást ösztönző környezet mind a régió közös lehetőségeinek területe. Read more Description (EN): The wood-processing and furniture industry is the most important sector of Western Transdanubia, Southern Burgenland and Eastern Styria. The latter is one of Europe’s research and innovation centre. This industry is being supported by several economic development and cluster organizations on both sides of the border, the R&D&I capacities and the higher education are given. There have been only a few attempts to solve cross-border problems between these organizations, so the available experiences have not been used reaching across borders.
The SMEs of this sector are less prone to use new technologies, innovations and to cooperate with other companies and organizations. A lack of management attitude, the difficulties presented by a generation shift, incomplete market knowledge all cause a lacking innovation effort, so breakthroughs are sporadic. At the same time a shift in consumer needs and in the macro environment force a new international appearance with new products. The presence of knowledge and a source of raw material along the border make cooperation, and reaching new, international markets possible.
The overall project objective is to strengthen the innovation based international competitiveness of SMEs in the border region AT-HU, operating in the wood-processing and furniture industry.
Discovering operative cross-border cooperation opportunities, expanding the market knowledge, knowledge transfer, developing innovative niche („market niche”) products, the marketing system necessary for commercialisation, an environment that stimulates innovation are all areas of common opportunities for the region. For activities that are being realized, the cross border value added is the measure of value.
Read more Achievements (DE): Die Projektpartner von InnoWood setzten sich zum Ziel, die Kooperation im Bereich eines Netzwerks und bei der Innovation von K&M-Unternehmen der Holz- und Möbelindustrie im Grenzgebiet AT-HU herbeizuführen, um die internationale Wettbewerbsfähigkeit zu stärken.. Für die Sicherung der entsprechenden Grundlagen der im Projekt umzusetzenden Innovationsprozesse wurde durch zahlreiche Forschungen und Fachworkshops gesorgt. Als Erstes wurden von der Partnerschaft in einer Untersuchung durch qualitative Interviews die verschiedenen technischen Gegebenheiten, Kapazitäten und dementsprechende Erwartungen sowie Innovationsfähigkeit und Bereitschaft der KMU analysiert. Aufbauend auf diese Informationen wurden die Zusammensetzung der Holz- und Möbelbranche der Grenzregion, ihre Merkmale und ihr Tätigkeitsbereich in Smart Mapping einbezogen. Eine Schlüsselrolle bei diesen Tätigkeiten spielten das vorhandene Wissen, die Erfahrungen und das Beziehungsgefüge der beiden Clustermanagement-Organisationen der Partnerschaft, des durch den Lead-Partner EFFIX-Marketing Kft. vertretenen Pannonischen Holz- und Möbelclusters und des Holzclusters Steiermark. Ohne ihre Zusammenarbeit hätte weder die angestrebte Netzwerkentwicklung noch die Steigerung der Wettbewerbsfähigkeit auf Innovationsbasis umgesetzt werden können.
Nach der Erschließung der Angebotsseite wurde das Bild durch die Untersuchung der Konsumententrendsvervollständigt, wozu das sich der Partnerschaft anschließende Grazer IITF (Institut für Innovations- und Trendforschung) mit seinem besten Können beigetragen hat. Diese zweite Forschung entdeckte die Ursachen, die hinter zahlreichen gesellschaftlichen Phänomenen versteckt sind. An den anschließenden Workshops wurden die aus der Forschung gewonnenen Primärinformationen, die Innovationsfähigkeit der Unternehmerseite, ihre Pläne, bzw. Geschäftspolitik erwogen, sowie die Erwartungen der Konsumentenseite, aufgrund derer potenzielle Zielgruppen und Marktnischen zu definieren sind. Diese wurden von den Unternehmern, Fach-, und Bildungsinstitutionen evaluiert und diskutiert, schließlich wurden mehrere mögliche Entwicklungsrichtungen formuliert.
Als Ergebnis der Workshops und der Forschungen hat die Partnerschaft mit der Schaffung des Networkings unter den Akteuren der Holz- und Möbelindustrie die Umgebung für die Förderung der Innovation im Grenzraum geschaffen, weiters wurden die Themengruppen für die im Projekt zu entwickelnden Produkte festgelegt.
Es kristallisierte sich immer mehr die eine – auch reale Produkte schaffende – Methodik der grenzüberschreitenden und gemeinsamen Innovation heraus. Schöpfer, Studenten und Unternehmergewannen bei zahlreichen Ausstellungen, Fachexkursionen Inspiration, noch vor den geplanten Innovations-Camps. Von all diesen ist „Salone del Mobile” in Mailand hervorzuheben. Dort, in einer der bedeutendsten Möbel-Fachmessen von Europa und der ganzen Welt werden die neuesten Design- und Technologietrends vorgestellt. Hier wurde die Richtigkeit des im Projekt entwickelten innovativen Ansatzes wieder bestätigt, als die Kreativität der Jugendlichen mit der jahrzehntelangen Erfahrung der Unternehmensleiter kombiniert wurde. Zukunftsweisende Initiativen lassen sich nur unter Miteinbeziehen der heranwachsenden Generationen wirklich erfolgreich umsetzen. Dementsprechend standen auf beiden Grenzseiten Innovations-Camps für Studenten und KMU-s im Mittelpunkt des Projektes. Im ersten der je fünftägigen Camps wurde thematisch auf Holzmöbel-Innovationen fokussiert, im zweiten auf neuartige Lösungen in der Holzarchitektur.
Es sollten auf neue Konsumentenbedürfnissen und -Trends basierende, innovative Möbel und Pläne der Holzarchitektur durch gemeinsame Produktentwicklung ausgearbeitet werden. An den insgesamt 10 Tagen des Innovationscamps für Möbelindustrie nahmen 43 ungarische und 23 österreichische Studenten sowie 23 HU und 3 AT KMU teil. Von der Jury des Camps wurden schließlich 6 Produkte zu Siegern gekürt, zu denen die ausführliche technische Dokumentation, der Prototyp sowie der Finanz- und Marketingplan erstellt wurden. An den 10 Workshops des zweitens Camps – jenes für Holzarchitektur – 40 HU és 12 AT Schüler sowie 12 HU und 9 AT KMU teil. Es wurden 3 Produkte zu Siegern gekürt, zu denen die ausführliche technische Dokumentation erstellt wurde. Neben den 6 Siegermöbelstücken wurde der Prototyp von weiteren 5 Möbeln hergestellt, also insgesamt von

Die regionale Wettbewerbsfähigkeit der Möbelfirmen des Programmgebietes wird durch das Arbeitspaket
3. gestärkt, das unter der Leitung der Fachhochschule Burgenland (FHB) umgesetzt wurde. Es wurde von der Partnerschaft gemeinsam eine Multi-Vendor-Plattform entwickelt. Das zum Betrieb benötigte Geschäftsmodell wurde von IITF und der FHB gemeinsam entwickelt, dann entstand aufgrund der Beurteilung der zwei Clustermanagement-Organisationen das endgültige Modell. Die Plattform ist unter woodnetwork.eu nach Registrierung für jedermann zu erreichen. Ein Ziel ist, dass sich Produzenten, Einzel- und Großhändler, Lieferanten, Innenarchitekten hier aufeinander treffen und sich informieren. Das andere Ziel: Die Palette der Produkte und Dienstleistungen der Holz- und Möbelindustrie den potenziellen Kunden zu präsentieren, sowie die Ansprüche der Kunden und ihre Anliegen an die betroffenen Unternehmen zu vermitteln.
Im Projekt InnoWood haben die hier umgesetzten Produktentwicklungen sowie der auch an weitere, in der Grenzregion umgesetzte Projekte übertragbare Innovationsprozess dazu beigetragen, die Innovationskapazitäten der AT-HU KMU-s zu verbessern, international wettbewerbsfähigere Produkte herzustellen und über die entwickelte Plattform die gemeinsame Online-Präsenz der KMU-s und ihre Wettbewerbsfähigkeit zu fördern.
Read more Achievements (HU): Az InnoWood projekt partnersége az osztrák-magyar határtérség fa- és bútoripari kis- és közepes vállalkozóinak hálózati és innovációs együttműködését tűzte ki célul a nemzetközi versenyképesség erősítése céljából. A projektben megvalósított innovációs folyamatok kellő megalapozottságát számos kutatás és szakmai workshop biztosította. Elsőként a KKV innovációs helyzetfeltárás keretében elvégzett kvalitatív interjúkon a különböző műszaki adottságokat, kapacitásokat és azokkal kapcsolatos várakozásokat, valamint az innovációs hajlandóságot és készséget vizsgálta a partnerség. Ezen információkra építve, a határtérség fa- és bútoripari vállalkozásainak összetételét, tevékenységi köreit, jellemzőit tartalmazó Smart mappingkészült. Kulcsszerepet játszott e tevékenységek esetében a partnerség két klaszter menedzsment szervezetének, a vezető partner EFFIX-Marketing Kft. által képviselt Pannon Fa- és Bútoripari Klaszter és a Holzcluster Steiermark meglévő tudása, tapasztalata és kapcsolati hálója. Együttműködésük nélkül sem a kitűzött hálózatfejlesztés, sem az innováción alapuló versenyképesség növelés nem valósulhatott volna meg.
A kínálati oldal feltérképezése mellett, a fogyasztói trendek vizsgálatával vált teljessé a kép, melyhez tudása legjavát adta a partnerséghez csatlakozott grazi IITF (Institut für Innovations- und Trendforschung). E második kutatás, számos társadalmi jelenség mögött megbúvó okokat tárta fel. A kapcsolódó workshopokonmérlegelésre kerültek a kutatásokból nyert primer információk, a vállalkozói oldal innovációs képessége, tervei, illetve üzletpolitikája, és a fogyasztói oldal elvárásai, melyek mentén meghatározhatóvá váltak potenciális célcsoportok, és piaci rések. Ezeket értékelték és vitatták meg vállalkozók, szakmai, oktatási szervezetek képviselői, és végül megfogalmazódott több lehetséges fejlesztési irány.
A workshopok, kutatások eredményeképpen, a fa- és bútoripari szereplők hálózati együttműködésének megteremtésével a partnerség megalapozta az innovációt ösztönző környezetet a határtérségben, továbbá meghatározásra kerültek a projektben fejlesztendő termékek tématerületei is.
A határon átnyúló együttműködés és közös innováció egyik, valós eredményeket is produkáló módszertana kristályosodott ki egyre jobban. Az alkotók, diákok, vállalkozók számos kiállításon, szakmai úton nyerhettek inspirációt a tervezett innovációs táborokat megelőzően. Mind közül kiemelkedik a Milánói Salone del Mobile. Európa és a világ egyik legjelentősebb bútoripari szakvásárán a legújabb design és technológiai trendeket vonultatták fel a kiállítók. Itt ismét visszaigazolást nyert a projektben kialakított innovációs megközelítés helyessége, amikor a fiatalok kreativitását a vállalatvezetők évtizedes tapasztalatával elegyítettük. Jövőbe mutató kezdeményezéseket csak a felnövekvő generáció bevonásával lehet igazán sikeresen megvalósítani. Ennek megfelelően, a projekt középpontjában a határ mindkét oldalán diákokat és KKV-ket megmozgató innovációs táborok álltak. A két ötnapos tábor közül az első tematikusan fabútor innovációra fókuszált, míg a második az új faépítészeti megoldásokra.
Az innovációs táborban új fogyasztói igényeken és trendeken alapuló innovatív bútorok és faépítészeti tervek kidolgozása volt az elvárás közös termékfejlesztéseken keresztül. A bútoripari innovációs tábor összesen 10 workshopján 43 magyar és 23 osztrák diák, valamint 23 magyar és 3 osztrák KKV vett részt. A tábor zsűrije végül 6 terméket választott ki nyertesként, melyekhez elkészült a részletes műszaki dokumentáció, a prototípus, valamint a pénzügyi és a marketing terv. A második, faépítészeti innovációs tábor összesen 10 workshopján 40 magyar és 12 osztrák diák, valamint 12 magyar és 9 osztrák KKV vett részt. A tábor zsűrije végül 3 faépítészeti tervet díjazott, melyekhez részletes technikai dokumentáció készült. A 6 nyertes bútoron kívül további 5 bútornak, vagyis összesen 11 bútornak elkészült a prototípusa, melyek több hazai és nemzetközi kiállításon, így például a klagenfurti Holz & Bau Messe-n és a Budapesti Otthon Design kiállításon kerültek bemutatásra.
A programterület bútoripari cégeinek regionális versenyképességét erősíti a Fachhochschule Burgenland (FHB) vezetésével megvalósított
3. munkacsomag, melynek keretében a partnerség közösen fejlesztett ki egy online értékesítési platformot (multi-vendor platform). A platform működéséhez szükséges üzleti modellt az IITF és az FHB közösen alkotta meg, majd a két klaszter menedzsment szervezet véleménye alapján alakult ki a végleges modell. A woodnetwork.eu oldalon, regisztráció után bárki számára elérhető platform egyik célja, hogy a gyártók, kis- és nagykereskedők, beszállítók, belsőépítészek egymásra találjanak, informálódjanak. Másik célja, hogy bemutassa a fa- és bútoripari termék- és szolgáltatások körét a potenciális vásárlók részére, valamint továbbítsa a vásárlói igényeket, megkereséseket az érintett vállalkozások felé.
Az InnoWood projektben megvalósult termékfejlesztések és a más határrégióban megvalósuló projektek számára is átadható innovációs folyamat hozzájárultak az AT-HU KKV-k innovációs kapacitásának javításához és a nemzetközileg versenyképes termékek létrejöttéhez, a kifejlesztett platform pedig a KKV-k közös online jelenlétéhez és a versenyképességük fokozásához.
Read more Achievements (EN): Partnership of the InnoWood project aimed at the networking and innovation cooperation of small and medium-sized entrepreneurs in the wood and furniture industry in the Austro-Hungarian border region in order to strengthen international competitiveness. The innovation processes implemented in the project were well-founded by a number of research and professional workshops. First, the Partnership examined the different technical capabilities, capacities and expectations, as well as the readiness and willingness to innovate, in qualitative interviews conducted in the framework of the SME innovation situation survey. Based on this information, a Smart mapping containing the composition, scope of activities and characteristics of the wood and furniture companies in the border area was prepared. The existing knowledge, experience and network of the two cluster management organizations of the partnership, the Pannon Wood and Furniture Industry Cluster represented by the Lead Partner EFFIX-Marketing Ltd, as well as the Holzcluster Steiermark, played a key role in these activities. Without their cooperation, neither the planned network development nor the innovation-based increase of competitiveness would not have been possible.
In addition to mapping the supply side, consumer trends were also examined under the direction of IITF (Institut für Innovations- und Trendforschung) in Graz. This second research revealed the reasons behind many social phenomena. Primary information obtained from the research, the innovation capacity, plans and business policy of the entrepreneurial side, and the expectations of the consumer side were considered in the related workshops, along which potential target groups and market gaps became identifiable. These were evaluated and discussed by entrepreneurs, representatives of professional and educational organizations, and finally several possible directions of development were formulated.
As a result of the workshops and research, by creating a network cooperation of the actors of the wood and furniture industry, the partnership established the environment stimulating innovation in the border region, and the thematic areas of the products to be developed in the project were also defined.
One of the methodologies for cross-border cooperation and joint innovation, which also produces real results, has become increasingly crystallized. Creators, students and entrepreneurs were able to gain inspiration in many exhibitions and professional excursions before the planned innovation camps. One of the most distinguished was probably among all the Salone del Mobile in Milan. At one of the most important furniture trade fairs in Europe and the world, the exhibitors presented the latest design and technology trends. Here again, the righteousness of the innovation approach developed in the project was confirmed when the creativity of young people with the decades of experience of company leaders were combined. Future-oriented initiatives can only be truly successful with the involvement of the rising generation. Accordingly, the project focused on innovation camps mobilizing students and SMEs on both sides of the border. Out of the two five-day camps, the first thematically focused on wood furniture innovation, while the second focused on new wood architecture solutions.
In the innovation camp, the development of innovative furniture and wooden architecture plans based on new consumer needs and trends was expected through joint product developments. A total of 10 workshops of the furniture industry innovation camp were attended by 43 Hungarian and 23 Austrian students and 23 Hungarian and 3 Austrian SMEs. Product development in the InnoWood project and the innovation process that can be transferred to projects in other border regions have contributed to improving the innovation capacity of AT-HU SMEs and the creation of internationally competitive products, while the platform developed for SMEs to provide a common online presence and to boost their competitiveness.
