Die Zugspitz Arena Bayern-Tirol hat sich in den letzten drei Jahren im Rahmen eines Interreg IV A Projekts über einen Markenbildungsprozess zu einer gemeinsamen Urlaubsdestination der Orte Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Grainau und des TVB Tiroler Zugspitz Arena weiterentwickelt. Die Destination verfügt gemeinsam über 3.340.144 Übernachtung im Jahr 2014. Bereits im Herbst 2014 beschlossen die Partner ein gemeinsames Budget in Höhe von € 934.000 für die kommenden 3 Jahre um laufende Maßnahmen und weitere notwendige Entwicklungen finanzieren zu können. Demnach beteiligen sich GAP mit 40,44%, die Tiroler Zugspitz Arena mit 43,38 % und Grainau mit 16,18 % an der Aufbringung der Eigenmittel. Die einzelnen Maßnahmen sind klar von laufenden gemeinsamen Projekten (Event, Website, Gästemagazin oder Freizeitfolder) abgegrenzt und entsprechen einer Weiterentwicklung der Kooperation, die sich in der Folge auch positiv auf tourismusfremde Einrichtungen auswirken soll (Handel, Handwerk, Daseinsvorsorge). Schwerpunkte einer gemeinsamen Strategieentwicklung bilden die Themen Autofreie Mobilität, der Ausgleich der Saisonschwankungen sowie der gemeinsame Auftritt am globalen Markt mit 3,3 Mio Übernachtungen und der daraus folgende gemeinsame Vertrieb. Mit einer gemeinsamen Gästekarte, in der die derzeit bestehenden Angebote zusammengeführt werden, ergänzt um die grenzüberschreitende Mobilität, soll die Sichtbarkeit der Destination nach innen und außen weiter aufgebaut werden.

In the last three years, the Zugspitz Arena Bayern-Tirol has developed into a common holiday destination for the towns of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Grainau and the TVB Tiroler Zugspitz Arena as part of an Interreg IV A project on a brand-building process. The destination has a total of 3,340,144 overnight stays in 2014. Already in the autumn of 2014, the partners decided to jointly finance a budget of € 934,000 for the next three years in order to be able to financially support ongoing measures and other necessary developments. The focal points of the joint strategy development are car-free mobility, balancing seasonal fluctuations, and the joint presence on the global market with 3.3 million overnight stays and the subsequent joint sales. With a common guest card, in which the currently existing offers are brought together, supplemented by the cross-border mobility, the visibility of the destination is to be further developed inside and outside.

Expected Results (DE): EI 7 - Kooperationsintensität - gemessen am Anteil derjenigen, die grenzüberschreitende Kooperationen als zumindest überdurchschnittlich bewerten (in % der gesamten Bewertung)

Expected Outputs (DE): Am Beginn und am Ende des Projekts soll eine Umfrage bei den Stakeholdern des Projekts durchgeführt werden. Die Steigerung der Bewertung der grenzüberschreitenden Kooperation soll bei mindestens 20 % liegen. (Bergbahnen, Einzelhandel, Mitarbeiter TVBs)
