Description (EN):

Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) is one of the most important tasks of a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.Within the framework of the project, cross-border cooperation between the project partners, both of which are certified by the UNESCO as Biosphere Regions, will be applied. The aim is to build long-term cooperation between the two education providers and the two biosphere regions, focusing on the further development of education in both areas through regular exchange of experience, the conception and implementation of common building blocks in adult education and further education sustainable development in both regions with a special focus on "climate protection". Project content: 1. Higher level of basic cooperation of both partners: knowledge transfer, exchange of experience and project agreements between the educational institutions, opposing stakeholder journeys. 2. School program: Multi-day cross-border ESD school trips to the cooperation region, common focal themes in the school program and regionalised implementation of events (climate protection, protection of biodiversity). 3. Adult education: In each case a transnational biosphere day in both regions during the project period, regional cross-border advertised educational offers in each area on agreed ESD topics (climate protection, protection of biodiversity). 4. Climate neutrality of both administrative bodies - Pilot project: Determination of implementation options with regard to climate neutrality in the two administrative bodies, cross-national information event for representatives of the German and Austrian administration.

Description (DE):

Bildung für nachhaltige Entwicklung (BNE) zählt zu den wichtigsten Aufgaben eines UNESCO-Biosphärenreservates. Im Rahmen des Projektes soll zwischen den Projektpartnern, die beide von der UNESCO als Biosphere Reserves (Biosphärenregion bzw. Biosphärenpark) zertifiziert sind, eine grenzüberschreitende Zusammenarbeit hinsichtlich der Bildungsarbeit im Sinne einer BNE erfolgen - mit der Zielsetzung, eine langfristige Kooperation zwischen beiden Bildungsanbietern und übergreifend beiden Biosphärenregionen aufzubauen. Im Fokus stehen die Weiterentwicklung der Bildungsangebote in beiden Gebieten durch regelmäßigen Erfahrungsaustausch, die Konzeption und Umsetzung gemeinsamer Bausteine im Schulprogramm und der Erwachsenenbildung sowie die Weiterentwicklung der nachhaltigen Entwicklung in beiden Regionen mit besonderem Fokus auf dem Thema "Klimaschutz". Projektinhalte: 1. Übergeordnete Ebene/Aufbau der grundlegenden Kooperation beider Partner: Wissenstransfer, Erfahrungsaustausch und Projektabsprachen zwischen den Bildungseinrichtungen, Gegenläufige Stakeholderfahrten. 2. Schulprogramm: Mehrtägige grenzüberschreitende BNE Schulfahrten in die Kooperationsregion, Gemeinsame Schwerpunktthemen im Schulprogramm und regionalisierte Durchführung von Veranstaltungen (Klimaschutz, Schutz der Biodiversität). 3. Erwachsenenbildung: Jeweils ein länderübergreifender Biosphärentag in beiden Regionen im Projektzeitraum, Reg. gü. beworbene Bildungsangebote in jedem Gebiet zu vereinbarten BNE-Themen (Klimaschutz, Schutz der Biodiversität). 4. Klimaneutralität beider Verwaltungsstellen - Pilotprojekt: Eruierung von Umsetzungsmöglichkeiten hinsichtlich der Klimaneutralität in den beiden Verwaltungsstellen, Länderübergreifende Infoveranstaltung für VertreterInnen der dt. und österr. Verwaltung .

Achievements (EN):

Learning sustainability without limits – Lungau Biosphere Park Education Partnership and Berchtesgaden Land Biosphere Region As part of the project, cross-border cooperation took place between the Berchtesgadener Land Biosphere Region and the Biosphere Park Salzburger Lungau with regard to educational work in the sense of education for sustainable development (SDO). In addition, a pilot project identified ways of implementing climate neutrality in both administrations. “The cross-border cooperation with the colleagues has advanced both project partners in terms of content, with two different approaches integrating the most successful components into the other educational programme and thus further developing them,” says Dr. Peter Loreth, Head of the Management Unit Biosphere Region Berchtesgadener Land.

Expected Results (DE): EI 7 - Kooperationsintensität - gemessen am Anteil derjenigen, die grenzüberschreitende Kooperationen als zumindest überdurchschnittlich bewerten (in % der gesamten Bewertung)

Expected Outputs (DE): Alle durch das Projekt initiierte Bildungsmaßnahmen sowie die geplante Klimaneutralität der Verwaltungsstellen tragen zur Erhöhung der Kooperationsintensität hinsichtlich der administrativen, ökonomischen und sozialen Ebene bei.
