Matični kras je enotno čezmejno geografsko območje. Preplet kulturne krajine in območij ohranjanja narave ponujata še neizkoriščene priložnosti v agroturizmu. Projekt bo deležnike spodbujal vpeljati sodobnejše pristope pri pridelavi tradicionalnih kraških produktov: izvedba aplikacije spremljanja stanja v vinogradih e-Karst, optimizacija procesov pri pridelavi vina in kraškega pršuta.

Il Carso Classico rappresenta una circoscrizione geografica unica. L'intreccio del paesaggio culturale e delle zone di conservazione naturale offre all'agriturismo opportunità tutte ancora da sviluppare. Il progetto aiuterà gli stakeholder a implementare approcci più moderni nella produzione dei prodotti carsici tradizionali: implementazione dell'applicazione e-Karst per il monitoraggio dello stato dei vigneti, ottimizzazione dei processi di produzione del vino e del prosciutto.

The Classical Karst is a unique geographical area. The cultural landscape and the natural preservation areas intertwine and offer agricultural tourism a range of open possibilities to develop. The project will help stakeholders implement more advanced approaches in the production of traditional products of the Karst area: implementation of the e-Karst app to monitor the status of local vineyards, optimisation of wine and ham production processes.

Achievements (EN):

With the investment in registered cultural heritage, we renovated part of Štanjel Castle and set up a Center for the Promotion of Regional Products with a local wine shop, which allows us to uniformly present regional products and wines from the cross-border Karst. We have introduced new tools and guidelines or. instructions for optimizing and standardizing the production of cross-border wines (Teran) and Karst prosciutto. This includes optimizing water consumption in the irrigation of vineyards, reducing plant protection products and promoting the grazing of pigs of local breeds for better quality Karst prosciutto. In order to improve and promote tourism in the cross-border Karst, we upgraded and improved the web portal https://www.hoteldobregaterana.si and designed 5 new tourist itineraries and conducted several promotional events. We have developed an on-line application e-Karst, which provides a comprehensive overview of agro-meteorological parameters for the cross-border Karst, the results of water stress monitoring and the development of diseases and pests in karst vineyards. The project also upgraded and improved the web portal https://www.hoteldobregaterana.si/ with the aim of improving and promoting tourism in the cross-border Karst. Achievements and results are also used after the end of the project. Experiences and results of water stress measurements and irrigation experiments are used in the Acquavitis project (Interreg Italy-Slovenia Program), we also use the e-Karst application, where we monitor agrometeorological parameters. The results of the new standards in the processing of Karst products (Teran and Karst prosciutto) are used by winegrowers and pig breeders in the Karst in order to improve the quality and preserve the environment. The Ministry of Agriculture used the results of the analyzes to change the rules on the protection of Teran PTP wine, which will also be the basis for cross-border joint protection of Teran wine in the Karst. With the aim of joint development of green agrotourism in the Karst and preservation of cross-border cultural heritage, the new wine shop in Štanjel Castle and the new itineraries set up within the project are used for tourist purposes. The project also created the film "Karst - Carso - Karst", which shows the cross-border Karst, unspoiled karst nature, production and processing of indigenous wines Teran and Vitovska, habitat ('terroir) Karst, jerino and beauties of the Karst in different seasons with motifs Karst specifics (eg burja, stone, architecture, nature…) and motifs on the theme of Karst prosciutto and the new wine shop, which was created in Štanjel Castle. Expected Results (SL):

Glavni cilj je (1) okrepiti čezmejno sodelovanje/povezovanje deležnikov pri pripravi skupnih agroturističnih orodij za varstvo in trajnostno rabo dediščine, (2) zmanjšati vpliv pridelave tradicionalnih kraških produktov na okolje ter (3) izboljšati kakovost in okrepiti skupno promocijo kraškega terana in pršuta. Predlagani projekt prispeva k razvoju trajnostnega turizma in varstvu dediščine z aktivnostmi za okrepitev skupnega upravljanja z naravnimi viri v območju čezmejnega Krasa.

L'obiettivo principale (1) è rafforzare la collaborazione tra gli stakeholder nella preparazione di strumenti agrituristici comuni che garantiscano la tutela e un uso sostenibile dell'eredità naturale, (2) diminuire l'impatto ambientale della produzione tradizionale e (3) migliorarne la qualità, rafforzando la promozione comune del vino Terrano DOC e del "Kraski Prsut". Inoltre, si vuole contribuire allo sviluppo del turismo sostenibile e alla tutela della biodiversità.

Expected Outputs (SL):

Projektna rezultata sta: 1.Skupen razvoj zelenega agroturizma na Krasu za ohranjanje čezmejne dediščine in tradicionalnih lokalnih produktov 2.Postavljena orodja za podporo skupnega izvajanja Pravilnika o čezmejni pridelavi in zaščiti terana kot primer dobre prakse za oblikovanje podobnih skupnih upravljavskih orodij za druge čezmejne produkte.Izhodišče turistične ponudbe so kvalitetni proizvodi in neonesnaženo naravno okolje, s čimer projekt prispeva z zmanjševanjem onesnaževal in optimizirano uporabo vode preko vzpostavljenega on-line sistema za kontrolo, cost benefit analizo, izboljšanimi praksami in tehnologijami pridelave lokalnih produktov ter krepitvijo kapacitet deležnikov. Slednje bo prispevalo tudi k pospešenemu sprejemanju in izvajanju Pravilnika o čezmejni zaščiti terana. Preko nadgradnje skupne on-line platforme, novih itinerarjev in akcijskega načrta za skupne nastope na trgu bomo povezali lokalne pridelovalce, ponudnike ter naravno in kulturno dediščino. Z namenom izboljšanja dostopnosti bodo zagotovljene dodatne turističnotransportne linije. S skupnim nastopanjem na festivalih, mednarodnih sejmih in turističnih dogodkih, poenotenim promocijskim materialom in multimedijsko dejavnostjo bomo zagotovili večjo prepoznavnost lokalnih produktov, ponudbe in destinacije. Velik prispevek k promociji ter povečanju ponudbe bo tudi vzpostavitev skupnega čezmejnega Centra za promocijo lokalnih produktov z regionalno vinoteko ter info točko razpršenega hotela v Štanjelu.

I risultati sono: 1.Sviluppo congiunto dell'agriturismo eco-biologico nel Carso per preservare l'eredità territoriale transfrontaliera in particolare per gli aspetti naturalistici e i prodotti locali tradizionali 2.Realizzazione di strumenti per l'implementazione congiunta del Disciplinare comune sulla coltivazione e tutela transfrontaliera del vino Teran/Terrano come esempio di buona prassi nella realizzazione di simili strumenti di gestione comune, utili anche per gli altri prodotti transfrontalieri.Il punto di partenza dell'offerta turistica è costituito da prodotti di elevata qualità in un ambiente naturale incontaminato. Il progetto contribuisce a diminuire il livello degli inquinanti nell’area e ad ottimizzare l'utilizzo dell'acqua tramite un sistema di controllo on-line, una specifica analisi benefici-costi, migliori prassi e tecnologie di produzione locale e miglioramento della capacità degli stakeholders. Ciò contribuirà anche ad un'approvazione e implementazione più veloce del Disciplinare comune sulla tutela transfrontaliera del vino Teran/Terrano. Attraverso l'upgrade della piattaforma online e i nuovi itinerari, con il piano d'azione per la presenza congiunta degli operatori sul mercato agroturistico, si procederà a unire i produttori locali e gli operatori turistici identificando con precisione l'eredità naturale e culturale. L'intento di migliorare l'accessibilità del territorio garantirà anche ulteriori linee di trasporto turistiche. Una maggiore riconoscibilità della destinazione con i prodotti e l'offerta locale sarà garantita con la presenza congiunta ai festival, alle fiere internazionali e agli eventi turistici, nonché con il materiale promozionale armonizzato e l'attività multimediale. Anche il punto informatico dell'albergo diffuso e la creazione di un Centro transfrontaliero comune per la promozione del prodotti locali con un'enoteca regionale a Štanjel, contribuirà alla promozione e all'allargamento dell'offerta.
