Cross-border park of Isonzo-Soča

V okviru projekta bo na območju občin Gorica, Nova Gorica in Šempeter-Vrtojba zgrajena čezmejna mreža kolesarskih in sprehajalnih poti ob Soči ter ob meji, ki bo povezovala Solkan s Šempetrom, Vrtojbo in Mirnom. Izvedla se bodo večja infrastrukturna dela, območje pa bo po zaključku del ponujalo nove razvojne možnosti in postalo privlačnejše za prebivalce in turiste.

Il progetto prevede la realizzazione, nei territori di Gorizia, Nova Gorica e Šempeter-Vrtojba, di una rete transfrontaliera di percorsi ciclopedonali lungo il fiume Isonzo e lungo il confine di stato che collega Salcano a Šempeter-Vrtojba e poi a Miren. Verranno realizzati consistenti lavori infrastrutturali, che miglioreranno la fruibilità dell’area e ne aumenteranno l’attrattività per cittadini e turisti.

The project involves the creation of a cross-border cycle and pedestrian paths in the areas of Gorizia, Nova Gorica and Šempeter-Vrtojba, along the Isonzo river and the national border that connects Salcanto to Šempeter-Vrtojba and then to Miren. Significant infrastructural work will be carried out in order to improve the usability of the area and its attractiveness to citizens and tourists.

1. Lot 1 “Vrtojba recreational area” The project contract was signed on 25.03.2019. Infrastructure works ended on 23.10.2019. The inauguration of the "Vrtojba recreational area" was on the 6th of November 2019. 1. Lot 2- "Footbridge over the Isonzo river at Solkan and cycle pahts connected to the one of Solkan-Plave" The first call for bids was published on the 19.12.2018 but the offers were inadmissible. As a consequence, the Municipality of Nova Gorica adjusted the executive project. The second call for bids was published on the 12th July 2019. The project contract was signed on the 17.10.2019. The infrastructure work regularly started on the 21.10.2019. Duration of the work: 1 year. 3. Lot 3 - “Realization of a cycle and pedestrian paths along the state border" On 17.06.2019 the project call was published in the telematic platform of the EGTC GO. On 20.12.2019 the call was awarded. On 26.5.2021 the call for works on lot 3 and 4 was published. 4. Lot 4- "Construction of cycle paths along the Isonzo River" The project call was published on 20.02.2019, on 16.05.2019 the works of the jury were completed. On 17.06.2019 the call was awarded. The contract was signed on 31.07.2019. On 18.10.2019 the RTP sent the final project documents. On 26.5.2021 the call for works on lot 3 and 4 was published. Strategic plan for the valorization of the Isonzo-Soča Cross-Border Park: The strategic plan for the enhancement of the Isonzo-Soča Cross-Border Park starts from an integrated study of the cross-border area of ​​the EGTC GO in order to identify the tourist actractiveness. The plan aims to increase the number of visitors and to diversify the tourist offer by focusing on gastronomy and bycicle. It also aims to create a cycle Ring, which could be tourist attraction, but also an infrastructure used by citizens as a "bicycle ring road" for daily journeys. The strategy developed takes into account economic, but also environmental, infrastructural, cultural, historical and sociological aspects and it was preceded by a comparison with numerous local stakeholders (from Universities to the hoteliers, from environmental to cultural associations and so on). Main results: The main result of the project consists in recognizing the tourist actractiveness of the area of ​​the three municipalities of the EGTC GO. The individual results that are intended to be achieved within the project are: - Integrated cross-border network of cycle and pedestrian paths; - Investments aimed at creating and promoting the new tourist destination and new tourist products with an unified vision of the Isonzo-Soča Cross-Border park; - Greater visibility of the cross-border area as an integrated tourist destination for leisure time; - Integrated marketing strategy more effective and efficient for the whole Cross-Border aerea; - Greater number of visitors thanks to the sustainable investments implemented in the area of ​​the three Municipalities; - Increased accessibility of the Isonzo-Soča Cross-Border park, with a special attention for people with a motor disability.

Glavni rezultat projekta bo povečana prepoznavnost novonastale urejene turistično-rekreacijske destinacije na območju treh mest EZTS GO. Posamezni rezultati, ki jih v okviru izvedbe projekta nameravamo doseči, so naslednji: - celostno čezmejno omrežje kolesarskih in pešpoti in poenotenje turistične destinacije; Vers. UOI 1/2016 13; - naložbe, usmerjene v nastanek in promocijo nove turistične destinacije in nove turistične ponudbe, v skladu z enotno vizijo Čezmejnega naravnega parka Isonzo-Soča; - povečana prepoznavnost čezmejnega območja kot celostne turistične destinacije za prijetno preživljanje prostega časa; - celostna tržna strategija, ki bo zaradi celostne priprave na območju treh mest bolj učinkovita od ločenih strategij za posamezno mesto; - povečano število obiskovalcev zaradi sinergij skupnih turistično-promocijskih aktivnosti in trajnostnih investicij, izvedenih na območju treh mest; - povečana dostopnost do in znotraj Čezmejnega naravnega parka Isonzo-Soča tudi s strani oseb z zmanjšanimi motoričnimi sposobnostmi.

Il principale risultato di progetto consiste nella riconoscibilità della destinazione turistico-ricreativa predisposta ex novo nell'area dei tre comuni del GECT GO. I singoli risultati che si intendono ottenere nell’ambito della realizzazione del progetto sono i seguenti: - Rete transfrontaliera integrata di piste ciclabili e percorsi pedonali ed unificazione della destinazione turistica; - Investimenti volti a creare e promuovere la nuova destinazione turistica e nuovi prodotti turistici nell’ottica di una visione unitaria del Parco transfrontaliero Isonzo-Soča; - Maggiore visibilità dell'area transfrontaliera come destinazione turistica integrata per trascorrere piacevolmente il tempo libero; - Strategia di marketing integrata maggiormente efficacie ed efficiente in quanto unitaria rispetto al territorio delle tre città e non frammentata in un’ottica di intervento locale per ogni singola città; - Maggior numero di visitatori grazie alla sinergia dell’azione unica di promozione turistica ed agli investimenti sostenibili attuati nell’area delle tre città; - Aumento dell’accessibilità nel Parco transfrontaliero Isonzo-Soča, anche da parte delle persone con disabilità motorie.
