Description (EN): EMOTIONWay aims at solving two problems in the cross-border area: a) difficult access to some sites of natural and cultural interest by walkers and cyclists caused by bad connections between cycleways and tourist sites and limited bicycle-bus/bicycle-train inter-modality servicing trails and cycleways, b) low visibility of some sites due to lack of information on how to reach them, unsuitable services and untapped natural sites. The creation of a cross-border network of trails and cycleways improving connections through bicycle-bus/bicycle-train inter-modality will develop new cross-border services of local public transport and promote the network as a cross-border tourist product. The identification of the missing connections (WP3) will be followed by pilot measures creating bicycle-bus/bicycle-train connections (WP4) to set up the Eastern Alps Cycleway Network (ReCAO). The project will support the area and improve the quality of its tourist services (WP5) by defining a new tourist product (WP6) to be promoted and included in the tourist strategies of the regions involved. In the medium run, better access to sites is expected thanks to more integrated intermodal services and an increase in tourist flows due to service quality and better site visibility, while decreasing the environmental impact of tourism and traffic.
Read more Description (DE): EMOTIONWay geht auf 2 Probleme im Grenzgebiet ein: a) schwieriger Zugang zu einigen Natur- und Kulturstätten für Fahrradtouristen und Wanderer aufgrund unzureichender Verbindungen zwischen Radwegen und Sehenswürdigkeiten und geringe Rad-Bus- bzw. Rad-Zug-Intermodalität entlang der Rad- und Wanderwege, b) geringe Sichtbarkeit einiger Sehenswürdigkeiten wegen fehlender Informationen zu ihrer Erreichbarkeit, unangemessener Leistungsangebote und nicht aufgewerteter Naturstätten. Mit dem Ziel, ein grenzüberschreitendes Rad- und Wanderwegenetz aufzubauen und die Verbindungen mit Hilfe intermodaler Rad-Bus-/Rad-Zug-Angebote zu verbessern, werden neue grenzüberschreitende ÖPNV-Dienste eingerichtet und das Netz als grenzüberschreitendes touristisches Produkt gefördert. Nach der Identifizierung der fehlenden Verbindungen (WP3), werden Pilotmaßnahmen für die intermodale Rad-Bus- und Rad-Zug-Verbindung (WP4) eingeleitet, um das Radwegenetz in den Ostalpen (ReCAO) aufzubauen. Mit Unterstützung vor Ort bei der Verbesserung der Qualität der Tourismusangebote (WP5) definiert das Projekt ein neues touristisches Produkt (WP6), das in die Tourismusstrategien der Regionen aufgenommen und gefördert wird. Mittelfristig wird ein verbesserter Zugang zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten dank besser
integrierter intermodaler Angebote und eine Zunahme der Touristenzahlen dank der besseren Angebotsqualität und Sichtbarkeit der Sehenswürdigkeiten mit geringeren Umweltauswirkungen von Tourismus und Verkehr erwartet.

Individuati i collegamenti mancanti(WP3), saranno avviati interventi pilota di collegamento intermodale bici-bus e bici-treno(WP4) per creare la Rete Ciclovie Alpi Orientali (ReCAO).Supportando il territorio per migliorare la qualità dei servizi turistici (WP5), il progetto definirà un nuovo prodotto turistico(WP6) che verrà promosso ed inserito nelle strategie turistiche delle regioni coinvolte. Nel medio periodo si attende un miglioramento dell’accessibilita ai siti grazie
a servizi intermodali più integrati ed un incremento dei flussi turistici grazie alla qualità dei servizi ed una migliore visibilità dei siti,riducendo l’impatto ambientale del turismo e del traffico.

Expected Results (DE): EMOTIONWay zielt darauf ab, folgende PROBLEMSTELLUNGEN zu lösen:
1)für Rad- bzw. Wandertouristen schlecht erreichbare grenzüb. Natur- bzw. Kulturstätte aufgrund:
-unzureichender Verbindungen zw. Radrouten sowie zw. Radrouten bzw. Sehenswürdigkeiten,
-ungenügender Intermodalität(Rad/Bus, Rad/Zug) für Rad- bzw. Wanderwege.
2)wenig sichtbare Sehenswürdigkeiten aufgrund:
-mangelnder Informationen zu deren Erreichbarkeit mittels Rad- bzw. Wanderwegen, die an Zugstrecken od. Radrouten angeschlossen sind,
-noch unzulänglichen Unterstützungsdienstes,
-noch nicht verwalteter oder wenig aufgewerteter Natur- bzw. Geostätten.
Um auf solche Fragen eine Antwort zu finden setzt sich EMOTIONWay das ALLG. ZIEL die Sicht- bzw. Nutzbarkeit des grenzüb. Erbes durch die Entwicklung eines Netzwerks der sanften und nachhaltigen touristischen Mobilität zu verbessern, das mittels SPEZ. ZIELE erreicht werden soll:
a)Schaffung eines grenzüb. Rad- bzw. Wanderwegnetzes mit besseren Verbindungen durch Rad/Bus- und Rad/Zug-Intermodalität sowie durch neue grenzüb. Dienstleistungen im ÖPNV;
b)Förderung des Netzes als neues grenzüb. touristisches Produkt, durch bessere touristische Dienstl. und neue Verwaltungsformen der Naturstätten.
Betrachtet man das Natur- bzw. Kulturerbe als eine CHANCE zur Diversifizierung der Wirtschaft und der touristischen Entwicklung, so kommen folgende MAKROAKTIVITÄTEN in Frage:
-Schaffung eines Radwegenetzes in den Ostalpen(ReCAO)=>WP3 WP4,
-Entwicklung eines neuen touristischen Produkts=>WP5 WP6.

Verringerung von Umweltauswirkungen u. Straßenverkehr,

a)Creare una rete transfrontaliera di ciclovie e cammini migliorando la connessione attraverso l’intermodalità bici-bus/bici-treno e attivando nuovi servizi transfrontalieri di trasporto pubblico locale,
b)Promuovere la rete quale nuovo prodotto turistico transfrontaliero incentivando il miglioramento dei servizi al turista e l’attivazione di nuove forme di gestione dei siti naturalistici.
Considerando il patrimonio naturale e culturale un’OPPORTUNITA’ per la diversificazione dell’economia e lo sviluppo turistico, sono previste le seguenti MACRO-ATTIVITA’,
-Creazione Rete Ciclovie Alpi Orientali (ReCAO)=>WP3 WP4,
-Creazione nuovo prodotto turistico=>WP5 WP6.
RISULTATI:
Incremento flussi turistici,
Destagionalizzazione,
