iAlp mira a far crescere l’attrattività turistica nelle Alpi attraverso una messa in rete dei valori condivisi delle collezioni private conservate al Museo Nazionale della Montagna di Torino e nel Musée Alpin di Chamonix, partecipando alla sperimentazione di nuovi prodotti di turismo culturale basato sulle tecnologie innovative. Le due città possiedono delle collezioni e dei documenti storici sulla montagna e l’alpinismo di valore uniche al mondo. È imperativo di preservarle ma anche di utilizzare le loro potenzialità per arricchire l’offerta turistica dei territori alpini.

iAlp aims to improve the touristic attractivity of Alpes ‘area, thorough a networking of shared values of private collections conserved at the Montagne National Museum of Turin and the Alpine Museum of Chamonix, participating at an experimentation of new cultural touristic products based on innovative technologies. Both cities possess collections and historical documents on Montagne and Alpinism with an international relevance. It’s important to preserve them but also to use their potentialities to enrich the touristic offer of Alpines territories.

Le projet vise à augmenter l’attractivité touristique d’un territoire exemplaire des Alpes à travers la mise en valeur partagée des collections conservées dans le Museomontagna de Turin et dans le Musée Alpin de Chamonix, contribuant à l’expérimentation de nouveaux produits de tourisme culturel basés sur des technologies innovantes. Turin, qui a vu la naissance du Club Alpin Italien, et Chamonix, berceau de l’alpinisme mondial, possèdent des collections et des documents historiques sur la montagne et l’alpinisme de valeur unique au niveau mondial : il est impératif de les préserver mais aussi d’exploiter le potentiel de ce patrimoine pour enrichir l’offre touristique des territoires alpins.

Expected Results (IT):

iAlp associa nuove tecnologie, salvaguarda delle collezioni, messa in rete dei patrimoni per creare dei nuovi prodotti culturali, legando per la prima volta una stazione Alpina (Chamonix) ad una città alpina (Torino). iAlp svilupperà un’azione di implicazione delle popolazioni locale, per farle partecipare ad un’operazione collettiva di salvaguardia della memoria dell’alpinismo e sensibilizzerà gli operatori turistici e i professionali della montagna per farle diventare promotori del patrimonio dei due musei.

Expected Results (EN):

iAlp links new technologies, collections saving, networking of patrimonies to create new cultural products, linking for the first time an Alpine station (Chamonix) and an Alpine city (Turin). iAlp will develop an action to involve local population, to make them participate to a collective operation of alpinism memories safeguard, and raise awareness of touristic operators and professionals of the mountain to make them become ambassadors of the patrimony of both museums.
