Description (DE): Das Projekt wird sich auf die Entwicklung einer neuen Methodik zur Analyse historischer Fotografien und deren Verwendung für virtuelle Rekonstruktionen des erloschenen Natur- und Kulturerbes fokussieren. Schwerpunkt des Projektes ist die virtuelle Wiederherstellung von Landschaften und Dörfern an der tschechisch-bayerischen Grenze, die nach der Vertreibung der Sudetendeutschen am Ende des Zweiten Weltkrieges großteils zerstört wurden. Die Basis für die Fallstudie bildet das Fotoarchiv des Ateliers Seidl in Krumau, das Tausende von Bildern von Siedlungsstrukturen, der landwirtschaftlichen Bewirtschaftung und Menschen umfasst. Die virtuelle Rekonstruktion ermöglicht es, ökologische und ökonomische Umbrüche im Grenzland zu beobachten. Die entwickelten Methoden und Tools sollten auch auf andere Standorte oder Datenquellen angewandt werden können. Hierzu sollten aus dem Projekt Veröffentlichungen zur Vorstellung der neuen Ansätze hervorgehen. Neben fachspezifischen Publikationen werden die Ergebnisse über eine Weboberfläche (virtuelles kulturhistorisches Museum) beworben, die der Öffentlichkeit zugänglich gemacht werden soll. Im Projekt nehmen das Institut für Angewandte Informatik, das Institut für Ästhetik und Kunstgeschichte, Historiker und Archäologen (Universität Südböhmen - JU) auf der tschechischen Seite teil, während auf der bayerischen Seite der Technologie Campus Freyung (TCF) der Technischen Hochschule Deggendorf als Projektpartner steht.

Read more Description (EN): The project will focus on the development of a new methodology for analysing historical photographs and their use for virtual reconstructions of extinct natural and cultural heritage. The project focuses on the virtual restoration of landscapes and villages on the Czech-Bavarian border, which were largely destroyed after the expulsion of the Sudeten Germans at the end of the Second World War. The basis for the case study is the photo archive of the Atelier Seidl in Krumau, which includes thousands of images of settlement structures, agricultural management and people. The virtual reconstruction makes it possible to observe ecological and economic upheavals in the border country. The methods and tools developed should also be applicable to other locations or data sources. To this end, the project should produce publications to present the new approaches. In addition to specialised publications, the results are advertised via a web interface (virtual cultural history museum), which is to be made available to the public. The project involves the Institute of Applied Computer Science, the Institute of Aesthetics and Art History, historians and archaeologists (University of South Bohemia — JU) on the Czech side, while the Bavarian side of the Technology Campus Freyung (TCF) of the Technische Hochschule Deggendorf is a project partner.

Read more Description (CS): Projekt se zaměří na vývoj metodologie analýzy historických fotografií a jejich použití pro virtuální rekonstrukci zaniklého přírodního a kulturního dědictví. Náplní projektu bude virtuální obnova krajiny a vesnic na česko-bavorském pomezí, zaniklých po odsunu sudetských Němců na konci druhé světové války. Podkladem pro příkladovou studii se stane bohatý fotoarchív Ateliéru Seidel z Českého Krumlova, který obsahuje tisíce snímků již neexistující sídelní struktury, polních systémů a obyvatel. Vytvořená metodologie bude přenositelná na další místa a zdroje dat. Virtuální rekonstrukce umožní pozorovat ekologické a ekonomické proměny příhraničí. Projekt je také soustředěn na publikování metodologických článků, které budou díky aplikovanému přesahu vědecky dobře hodnocené. Výstupem bude vedle odborných publikací i popularizační část prezentující pomocí webového rozhraní výsledky projektu, aby byly naplněny předpoklady programu. Na projektu se za Jihočeskou univerzitu (JU) budou podílet členové Ústavu aplikované informatiky, pracovníci ústavu estetiky a dějin umění, historici a archeologové. Za bavorskou stranu pracovníci Technologie Campus Freyung (TCF) - Technische Hochschule Deggendorf.

Expected Results (CS): Atraktivita kulturního a přírodního dědictví
Expected Outputs (DE): Das Projekt wird zum Schutz und Erhaltung historischer Fotografien als kulturelles Erbe, ferner zur Aufrechterhaltung des kulturellen Erbes in Form von Häusern, Bauten alias Architektur und der Kulturlandschaft beitragen. Im Rahmen des Projektes wird ein Software-System entwickelt, das systematische Arbeit mit historischen Fotografien ermöglichen wird und diesen Fotografien einen räumlichen Maßstab zu geben, das Projekt rechnet mit der Einbindung der lokalen Population, die mit dem Dokumentieren und mit der Katalogisierung historischer Fotografien und des historischen Erbes behilflich sein kann. Das ganze System wird so öffentlich zugänglich sein, dass lokale Museen mit ihm arbeiten können. Auf diese Art und Weise wird das Projekt künftige Nachhaltigkeit und Entwicklung sicherstellen.
Ergebnisse:
- Vertiefung der wissenschaftlichen grenzüberschreitenden Kooperation,
– Etablieren der interdisziplinären Kooperation im Bereich der Kultur und Informationstechnologien ,
– neue Informationen über die Lokalität (diese werden auf einer frei zugänglichen Homepage präsentiert) – virtuelle Karte und die Zugänglichkeit der Informationen werden im Rahmen des Tourismus zur Erhöhung der Attraktivität des Kultur- und Naturerbes beitragen.
Read more Expected Outputs (CS): Projekt bude přispívat k ochraně a zachování historických fotografií jako kulturního dědictví, dále pak k uchovávání kulturního dědictví v podobě domů, staveb neboli architektury a kulturní krajiny. V rámci projektu bude vyvinut softwarový systém, který umožní systematickou práci s historickými fotografiemi a dodávat jim prostorové měřítko, projekt počítá se zapojením místní populace, která může pomoci s dokumentováním a katalogizací historických fotografií a historického dědictví. Celý systém bude veřejně přístupný tak, aby s ním mohla pracovat místní muzea. Tímto přístupen si projekt zabezpečí urdžitelnost a rozvoj do budoucna.
Výsledky:
- Prohloubení přeshraniční vědecké spolupráce,
- Etablování interdisciplinární spolupráce v oblasti kultury a informačních technologií,
- nové informace o lokalitě (prezentovány na volně dostupné internetové stránce) - virtuální mapa a dostupnost informací přispějí v rámci cestovního ruchu k zvýšení atraktivity kulturního a přírodního dědictví.
