Description (EN): The aim of the project is the development, upgrading and networking of some of the most valuable geological and montane-historical monuments of the Bavarian-Bohemian border area. Specifically, Gleissinger Fels — the largest and oldest visitor mine in northern Bavaria and one of the top visitor tunnels in D, Soos — a mineral moor of European importance and Kammerbühl — is probably the first mine built purely for scientific purposes. Kammerbühl is currently not accessible because it is poured. Gleissinger Fels is only partially accessible, has significant safety deficiencies and has no information area. Soos is accessible, but is not equipped with enough infrastructure.
Development: Kammerbühl will be opened to the public for the first time as part of the project (entrance area in horizontal tunnels).
Development/revaluation: The destinations should be equipped with visitor infrastructure. In the case of Soos and Gleissinger Fels, a meeting and visitor centre, toilets, training and exhibition rooms. Information infrastructure is also being built on the Kammerbühl (outdoor area), on the Soos and Gleissinger Fels the visitor areas are upgraded with exhibitions and information about the connecting geology, the mining history and the sights on both sides of the former border. The outdoor areas are equipped with information boards. In the Gleissinger Fels the visitor routes are illuminated underground (tech. Lighting and effect lighting), the electrical installation completely renewed, security measures are implemented as well as new emergency exits. Measures for the safety of guests in the ground are also carried out over days and the access for bats is improved.
Networking: The destinations will be networked in terms of content (geology, mining and culture) and marketing. In particular, a thematic route is intended to represent networking in new media, which starts in the Fichtelberg and goes back via Alexandersbad and Hohenberg to Franzensbad and Soos then úber Kammerbúhl and Eger. Connection is also achieved through hikes across the border, mutual visitor mediation, according to events and exhibitions, workshops, joint marketing as well as cooperations in the field of infotainment and education.
Target groups are tourists from all over Germany and the Czech Republic, the population in the border area, thematic groups (bus trips, spa guests, geologists) and especially school classes from D and CZ.
Through the project, a unique, common natural and cultural heritage will be developed, upgraded and networked. This means that the tourist infrastructure, the educational and meeting offer of the border area is significantly improved. The cooperation leads to the rise of tourism throughout the border area and to the Europe-wide awareness of the area.
Read more Description (DE): Ziele des Projektes sind Erschließung, Aufwertung und Vernetzung von einigen der wertvollsten geologischen und montanhistorischen Denkmäler des bayrisch-böhmischen Grenzgebiets. Konkret handelt sich um Gleissinger Fels – größtes und ältestes Besucherbergwerk in Nordbayern und einer der Top- Besucherstollen in D, Soos - ein Mineralmoor von europäische Bedeutung und Kammerbühl - wahrscheinlich das erste rein aus wissenschaftlichen Zwecken gebaute Bergwerk. Kammerbühl ist zur Zeit nicht zugänglich, da zugeschüttet. Gleissinger Fels ist nur zum Teil zugänglich, hat erhebliche Sicherheitsmängel und verfügt über keinen Informationsbereich. Soos ist zugänglich, ist aber nicht mit genügend Infrastruktur ausgestattet.
Erschließung: Kammerbühl wird im Rahmen des Projektes für die Öffentlichkeit erstmals geöffnet werden (Eingangsbereich im horizontal Stollen).
Erschließung/Aufwertung:Die Destinationen sollen mit Besucherinfrastruktur ausgestattet werden. Im Fall von Soos und Gleissinger Fels ein Begegnungs- und Besucherzentrum, Toiletten, Schulungs- und Ausstellungsräumen. Informationsinfrastuktur wird auch am Kammerbühl errichtet (Außenbereich), am Soos und Gleissinger Fels werden die Besucherbereiche mit Ausstellungen und Informationen über die verbindende Geologie, die gem. Bergbauhistorie sowie die Sehenswürdigkeiten beiderseits der ehem. Grenze aufgewertet. Die Außenbereiche werden mit Infotafeln ausgestattet. Im Gleissinger Fels werden die Besucherstrecken unter Tage neu beleuchtet (tech. Beleuchtung und Effektbeleuchtung), die Elektroinstallation komplett erneuert, es werden Sicherheitsmaßnahmen durchgeführt so wie neuer Notausgang errichtet. Auch über Tage werden Maßnahmen für die Sicherheit der Gäste im Gelände durchgeführt und der Zugang für Fledermäuse verbessern.
Vernetzung: Die Destinationen werden inhaltlich (gem. Geologie, Bergbau- und Kultur) und Marketing-technisch vernetzt werden. Insbesondere soll ein Themenweg die Vernetzung in neuen Medien darstellen, dieser fängt im Fichtelberg an und geht via Alexandersbad und Hohenberg nach Franzensbad und Soos dann úber Kammerbúhl und Eger zurück. Verbindung erfogt auch durch Wanderungen über die Grenze, gegenseitige Besuchervermittlung, gem. Veranstaltungen und Ausstellungen, Workshops, gemeinsames Marketing sowie Kooperationen im Bereich Infotainment und Bildung.
Zielgruppen sind Touristen aus ganz Deutschland und Tschechien, die Bevölkerung im Grenzgebiet, thematische Gruppen (Busreisen, Kurgäste, Geologen) und insbesondere Schulklassen aus D und CZ.
Durch das Projekt wird ein einmaliges, gemeinsames Natur- und Kulturerbe erschlossen, aufgewertet und vernetzt. Dies bedeutet, dass die touristische Infrastruktur, das Bildungs- und Begegnungs-Angebot des Grenzraumes erheblich verbessert wird. Die Kooperation führt zur Steigung des Tourismus im ganzen Grenzgebiet und zur europaweiten Bekanntheitssteigerung des Gebietes.
Read more Description (CS): Cíle projektu jsou zpřístupnění, zhodnocení a propojení několika nejcennějších geologických a montánně-historických památek česko-bavorského pohraničí. Konkrétně jde o Gleissinger Fels, největší a nejstarší návštěvnická štola v sev. Bavorsku a top návšt. štola v Německu, Soos, křemelinový štít evropského významu a Komorní Hůrka, pravděpodobně první důlní dílo, vybudované pro čistě vědecké účely. Komorní Hůrka není v současné době přístupná,zasypaná,Gleissinger Fels je v současné době částečně přístupný, ale má významné bezpečnostní nedostatky, Soos je přístupný, ale jako předchozí destinace, není vybaven vhodnou návštěvnickou infrastrukturou.
Zpřístupnění: na sopce Komorní Hůrka bude v rámci projektu zpřístupněna veřejnosti vstupní část štoly, kterou zde nechal udělat J.W.v. Goethe.
Zhodnocení: Všechny tři cíle budou vybaveny návštěvnickou infrastrukturou, v případě Soosu a Gleissinger Fels vznikne návštěvnické centrum s prostory pro hosty, prostory pro personál, soc. vybavením a učebnami. Informační Infrastukturou bude vybavena i Komorní Hůrka (venkovní areál) na Soosu a Gleissinger Fels budou návštěvnické prostory vybaveny výstavami a informacemi o spol. geologické historii a o vztazích mezi geopamátkami v hraničním pásu. Venkovní prostory budou vybaveny informačními tabulemi, kde budou poskytnuty další informace o geologii a historii a vysvětleny souvislosti. V Gleissinger Fels bude obnoveno osvětlení podzemních tras (tech. i efektní osvětlení), elektroinstalace pod zemí zcela obnoveny, realizována celá řada bezpečnostních opatření, vznikne nový nouzový východ. Také zvenčí budou realizována opatření pro bezpečnost hostů a opatření, které zajistí přístup pro netopýry.
Propojení: Tyto tři cíle budou propojeny obsahově(spol. geologie, hornictví a kultura), marketingově a především Tématickou cestou, která území propojuje prostřednictvím nových médií, tato cesta začíná ve Fichtelbergu a pokračuje přes Alexandersbad a Hohenberg do Fr. Lázní, Soosu přes Komorní hůrku a Cheb zpět.
Dále dojde k propojení skrz, pěší výlety přes hranice, značením a aktivním směrováním návštěvníků, spol. akcemi, workshopy, spol. marketingem a spoluprácí v oblasti infotainmentu(zábavné pojetí zprostředkování informací např. krátká videa, augmented reality, aplikace ) a osvěty. Propojování se má uskutečnit i v oblasti nových médií (web, facebook, aplikace,atd).
Cílovou skupinou jsou skupinoví i individuální turisté z Čech i Německa,obyvatelé příhraničního regionu, lázeňští hosté, školní třídy,geologové, atd.
Projektem bude zpřístupněno, zhodnoceno a propojeno významné přírodní a kulturní dědictví. To znamená, že se zlepší turistická infrastruktura v regionu ,celková nabídka v příhraniční oblasti bude podstatně rozšířena a v budoucnu lépe využívána nejen rezidentními hosty. Tyto navázané spolupráce povedou ke zvýšení cestovního ruchu v celé příhraniční oblasti a zvýšení známosti daných památek po celé Evropě.

Expected Outputs (DE): Die zentralen Projektergebnisse sind Erschließung, Aufwertung und Vernetzung einiger der größten, wertvollsten geologischen und montan-historischen Denkmäler des bayerisch-böhmischen (Grenz-)Gebiets (Gleissinger Fels), teilweise gar von europäischer (Soos) oder weltweiter Bedeutung (Kammerbühl).
Die Attraktivität des Kultur- und Naturerbes erhöht sich,
indem die Denkmäler besser - oder überhaupt erst - zugänglich gemacht werden. Durch die Verbesserung der Sicherheit der Besucher (Gleissinger Fels) können zusätzliche Bereiche erschlossen und die Sehenswürdigkeit attraktiver vermarktet werden;
indem die Natur- und Kulturattraktionen erstmals eine richtige Besucherinfrastruktur erhalten, die einen mittlerweile erwarteten Komfort für die Besucher bieten wird. Z.B. ein Besucherzentrum mit Aufenthaltsbereich, Sanitäranlagen, einer Verbesserten Erschließung (für Motorisierte sowie Radler und Wanderer). Die neue Infrastrukturen bedeuten allein durch ihre Architektur eine Bereicherung ihres Umfeldes und sind der Kontur der Landschaft angepasst;
durch umfangreiche Informationselemente, die auch neuste Kommunikationstechnik einbezieht. Durch bessere Vermittlung der Informationen über die Existenz und Attraktivität der Denkmäler wird ein Bewusstsein über diese Natur- und Kulturgüter gebildet und gestärkt. Das gemeinsame Natur- und Kulturerbe des Grenzgebiets wird in diesen Denkmälern erhalten und präsentiert.
Die regionale Identität, die gerade in der Projektregion stark mit dem Bergbau und der Nutzung der Mineralquellen zusammen fällt, wird durch die Projektrealisation gestärkt, in dem man dieses Thema wieder aufgreift und durch Informationen, Wanderungen oder Feste in das Bewusstsein der Einwohner und Gäste ruft.

Nová infratruktura je obohacením svého okolí a přizbůsobená krajině.
Atraktivita přírodního a kulturního dědictví se zvýší tím, že tyto památky budou vybaveny vhodnou informační infrastrukturou, která nebude opomínat nejnovější komunikační techniku. Zvýšennou přítomností těchto informací v mediích se posílí také povědomí o existenci a atraktivitě těchto přírodních a kulturních památek. Společné přírodní a kulturní dědictví bude prostřednitcvím těchto opatření zachováváno a zhodocováno.
Regionální identita, která v regionu realizace projektu výzmaně souvisí s hornictvím a využíváním minerálních pramenů, bude realizací projektu posilována, především zvyšováním povědomí o geologii a jejím významu, prostřednictvím informací, výletů s průvodcem a akcí pro veřejnost.
