Το έργο αφορά την προώθηση της διαλογής στην πηγή & τη διαχείριση των βιοαποβλήτων από τα οικιακά οργανικά απορρίμματα, τα γεωργικά & κτηνοτροφικά υπολείμματα, με τη χρήση καινοτόμων συστημάτων (ολοκληρωμένα συστήματα διαχείρισης βιοαποβλήτων). Το έργο εστιάζει σε απομονωμένες περιοχές όπου το κόστος για τη διαχείριση των απορριμμάτων σε κεντρικές μονάδες επεξεργασίας είναι πολύ υψηλό. Με την εφαρμογή του έργου, οι επιλεγόμενες περιοχές σε Ελλάδα (Δήμο Νάξου και Μικρών Κυκλάδων) και Κύπρο (Κοινότητα Κάμπου) θα διαχειριστούν ορθολογικά το οργανικό φορτίο μετατρέποντάς το σε προστιθέμενης αξίας τελικά προϊόντα παρέχοντας πολλαπλά οφέλη, καθώς επιτυγχάνεται η ολοκληρωμένη διαχείριση των βιοαποβλήτων μέσω της επεξεργασίας & επαναχρησιμοποίησης αυτών, & η εκτροπή του οργανικού κλάσματος από τους ΧΥΤΑ εξοικονομώντας πόρους & ενέργεια.

Description (EN):

The project concerns the promotion of biodegradation at the source and the management of biowaste from domestic organic waste, agricultural and livestock residues using innovative systems (integrated bio-waste management systems). The project focuses on isolated areas where the cost of waste management at central processing plants is very high. With the implementation of the project, the selected areas in Greece (Municipality of Naxos and Minor Cyclades) and Cyprus (Kambos Community) will rationally manage the organic load by converting it to value-added final products, providing multiple benefits, as integrated bio-waste management is achieved through processing & re-utilization and the diversion of organic fraction from landfills by saving resources and energy

Expected Results (EL):

Με τη χρήση καινοτόμων συστημάτων οικιακής ξήρανσης θα μειωθούν τα δρομολόγια μεταφοράς των βιοαποβλήτων από δυσπρόσιτες περιοχές, συμβάλλοντας στη μείωση των αερίων ρύπων του θερμοκηπίου, καθώς & του οικονομικού κόστους μεταφοράς των απορριμμάτων . Επίσης, με βάση το οικιακό σύστημα ξήρανσης, με 2 διαφορετικούς τρόπους αξιοποίησης θα παραχθούν προϊόντα υψηλής προστιθέμενης αξίας, αντικαθιστώντας κοστοβόρες ως προς την παραγωγή τους πρώτες ύλες. Επιπρόσθετα, θα επιτευχθεί εκτροπή σημαντικού μέρους του οργανικού φορτίου των αστικών και αγροτικών αποβλήτων που διαφορετικά θα επιβάρυνε τους ΧΥΤΑ. Η διενέργεια εργαστηριακών αναλύσεων στα προϊόντα του έργου (pellets, βιοαέριο, χώνευμα) & η εφαρμογή τους για θερμική αξιοποίηση θα συμβάλλει ουσιαστικά στη μείωση της ενεργειακής φτώχειας και στη βελτίωσης της ποιότητας των εδαφών αντίστοιχα, συμβάλλοντας στην εξοικονόμηση των πρώτων υλών.

Expected Results (EN):

The use of innovative household drying systems will reduce the transport of bio-waste from inaccessible areas, contributing to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions as well as the cost of transporting waste. Also, based on the domestic drying system, with 2 different modes of exploitation, high value added products will be produced, replacing costly raw materials. In addition, a significant part of the organic load of urban and rural waste will otherwise be diverted, which would otherwise burden the landfill. Performing laboratory analyzes on the products of the project (pellets, biogas, digest) and their application for thermal utilization will contribute substantially to the reduction of energy poverty and to the improvement of soil quality respectively, contributing to the saving of the raw materials.

Expected Outputs (EL):

Στο πλαίσιο του έργου θα αναπτυχθούν 2 ολοκληρωμένα συστήματα διαχείρισης βιοαποβλήτων σε Ελλάδα και Κύπρο. Οι αναμενόμενες εκροές είναι η δημιουργία: ιστοσελίδας, ενημερωτικών εκδηλώσεων του κοινού και των αρμόδιων φορέων, μηχανή παιχνιδοποίησης, πλατφόρμα τηλεπαρακολούθησης, γραμμών εξυπηρέτησης, υλικού με το λογότυπο του έργου, πανό, ενημερωτικών εντύπων, δημοσιεύσεων-φυλλαδίων σε αρμόδιους φορείς, η υλοποίηση εκπαιδεύσεων σε νοικοκυριά και στελέχοι του έργου, συνεδρίου. Επίσης προβλέπονται: α) 2 εκθέσεις προσδιορισμού ποιοτικού & ποσοτικού των βιοαποβλήτων στις υπό μελέτη περιοχές, β) 2 εκθέσεις καταγραφής των υφιστάμενων πρακτικών διαχείρισης των βιοαποβλήτων στις υπό μελέτη περιοχές, γ) 2 τεχνικές εκθέσεις με την επιλογή του δείγματος των συμμετεχόντων στο έργο νοικοκυριών, δ) 1 τεχνική έκθεση χαρακτηριστικών λειτουργίας και εγχειριδίου χρήσης συστημάτων, ε) προμήθεια 200 οικιακών ξηραντήρων, 1 πελλετοποιητή, 1 τεμαχιστή, στ) πρακτικά και υλικό εκπαιδεύσεων, η) 2 εκθέσεις αξιολόγησης των διαχειριστικών συστημάτων βιοαποβλήτων στις περιοχές εφαρμογής, θ) 2 εκθέσεις εργαστηριακών αναλύσεων αξιολόγησης των παραγόμενων τελικών προϊόντων (pellets, βιοαέριο, χώνευμα), ι) 2 εκθέσεις αξιολόγησης δυνατοτήτων αξιοποίησης των παραγομένων τελικών προϊόντων (pellets, βιοαέριο, χώνευμα), κ) 3 Οδηγοί Καλής Πρακτικής χρήσης pellets, βιοαερίου, χωνεύματος

Expected Outputs (EN):

The project will develop 2 integrated bio-waste management systems in Greece and Cyprus. The expected outcomes are the creation of: a website, information events for the public and stakeholders, a play engine, a teleworking platform, service lines, project logo material, banners, newsletters, publications-brochures to relevant bodies, households and executives of the project, conference. It also provides for: a) 2 reports on the determination of the qualitative and quantitative biodegradability in the studied areas; b) 2 reports on the existing bio-waste management practices in the studied areas; c) 2 technical reports on the selection of the sample of participants in the household project, d) 1 technical report of functional characteristics and system manual; e) procurement of 200 household driers, 1 pelletizing machine, 1 shredder; f) practical and training material; h) 2 reports on the evaluation of management systems (i) 2 reports on the assessment of the potential for the utilization of the finished products (pellets, biogas, digest), k) 3 Good Practice Guides using pellets, biogas, digest
