Description


Description (EN): The project InMediValue contains: - Development of a pain-reduced 3D mammography examination procedure to achieve a higher quality and participation rate in breast cancer screening examinations. - Development of artificial intelligence-based technology for 3D mammography image evaluation for improved analysis of calcification deposition patterns in radiological reporting and. - Development of a multimodal imaging marker to enable surgeons to localize involved lymph nodes or tumors using innovative imaging techniques. Demand-oriented, practical problems from the field of medical imaging, e.g. from the university hospital (user), are to be addressed in order to develop solutions in cooperation with the universities and the companies involved. The participating research institutions and companies develop and protect innovative solutions and know-how in order to be able to offer them in the short, medium and long term for the benefit of patients. In addition, the products of the participating companies under development are to be brought to market maturity and made accessible across borders for the performance and evaluation of mammography examinations.
Description: Het project omvat: - De ontwikkeling van een 3D mammografie onderzoeksmethode die gepaard gaat met minder pijn om te komen tot een hogere kwaliteit en een hoger deelnamepercentage aan borstkankerscreening. - De ontwikkeling van een technologie die gebaseerd is op kunstmatige intelligentie, voor de 3D-mammografie beeldanalyse t.b.v. betere analyse van kalkafzettingspatronen in de radiologische diagnose en. - De ontwikkeling van een multimodale imaging-marker, zodat de chirurgen de lymfeklieren of de tumoren kunnen lokaliseren door middel van innovatieve imagingtechnieke. Het is de bedoeling dat praktische probleemstellingen op het terrein van de medische imaging vraaggericht worden opgepakt, bv. vanuit het academisch ziekenhuis (gebruikers), zodat oplossingen in een samenwerking tussen de hogescholen en de betrokken bedrijven kunnen worden uitgewerkt. De betrokken onderzoeksinstellingen en bedrijven werken aan oplossingen, krijgen inzichten en beschermen deze, om deze op korte, middellange en lange termijn aan patiënten te kunnen aanbieden. Daarnaast moeten de zich in de ontwikkelingsfase bevindende producten van de betrokken bedrijven rijp worden gemaakt voor de markt en grensoverschrijdend toegankelijk worden gemaakt voor uitvoering en analyse van mammografieonderzoeken.
