In the border area, which was inaccessible to the public for a long time, important elements of the natural and cultural heritage were preserved. These European protected areas (such as Boletice, Šumava, and the Mühltäler which) are increasingly interesting for tourists. A large part of the public does not know that these are the protected areas, and the behavior of some visitors is inappropriate. The project partners decided to present these areas to the visitors together, by informing about less known parts of the natural heritage in the border area and their development, specifically in the area of the newly declared National Nature Monument Olšina. A nature trail will be set up around the Olšina pond and visitors from both sides of the border will be informed about the Natura 2000 area on the other side. Another element of the process is the visitor center Olšina for related activities. In the given region, there is still no visitor Center that would provide visitors with information about the area´s natural and cultural heritage. Furthermore there´s yet no exhibition on the subject of nature and information on the given area, that would present the region as a common area. The project also includes joint interpretation and publicity measures for the public and visitors to the common cross-border region. For the first time a joint creation of the cross-border offer on natural heritage and Natura 2000 will be realized and the joint dissemination of information on this issue will be initiated (Knowledge transfer through specialist staff of the partners, seminars and workshops for the public, schools and other interested in the cultural heritage of the region, etc.).

Im Grenzgebiet, das lange Zeit gesperrt und der Öffentlichkeit unzugänglich war, blieben bedeutende Elemente des Natur- und Kulturerbes erhalten. Diese Europaschutzgebiete (wie z. B. europäisch bedeutende Lokalitäten Boletice, Šumava, Böhmerwald und Mühltäler genannt werden) beginnen in der Gegenwart gleichzeitig verstärkt besuchte Gebiete zu sein. Ein großer Teil der Öffentlichkeit weiß dabei nicht, dass es sich um die Schutzgebiete handelt, und verhält sich zum Naturreichtum ungeeignet. Aus diesem Grund entschlossen sich die Projektpartner, diese an Natur- und Kulturbesonderheiten reichen Gebiete den Besuchern gemeinsam zu präsentieren, und zwar durch das Informieren über weniger bekannte Teile des Naturerbes im Grenzgebiet und durch ihre Erschließung, konkret in der Umgebung des neu erklärten Nationalnaturdenkmal Olšina. Zu diesem Zweck werden im Rahmen des Projektes auch zusammenhängende Investitionsmaßnahmen umgesetzt. Es wird ein Lehrpfad um den Teich Olšina errichtet und gleichzeitig wird zwecks der Informationsvermittlung an die Besucher der Region von beiden Seiten der Grenze über das bisher vernachlässigte Nationalnaturdenkmal, die benachbarte europäisch bedeutende Lokalitäten Natura 2000 u. a. zur Schaffung eines geeigneten Raums – des Besucherzentrums Olšina – für zusammenhängende Aktivitäten. In der gegebenen Region fehlt bisher ein Besucherzentrum, das den Besuchern Informationen über das Gebiet aus der Sicht des Naturerbes und teilweise auch des Kulturerbes erteilen würde und eine Ausstellung zum Thema Natur hätte und imstande wäre, Informationen über das gegebene Gebiet mit dessen Besonderheiten, aber gleichzeitig so zu vermitteln, dass es die Region als gemeinsames Gebiet vorstellt. Bestandteil des Projektes sind auch gemeinsame Interpretations- und Publizitätsmaßnahmen für die Öffentlichkeit und Besucher der gemeinsamen grenzüberschreitenden Region, wo es zum ersten Mal zu einer gemeinsamen Schaffung des grenzüberschreitenden Angebots zum Thema Naturerbe und Natura 2000 kommt und die gemeinsame Informationsvermittlung über diese Problematik aufgenommen wird (Wissensvermittlung durch Fachmitarbeiter der Partner, Seminare und Workshops für die Öffentlichkeit, Schulen und weitere Interessenten am Kulturerbe der Region u.a.).

V příhraničním regionu, který byl po dlouhou dobu uzavřen a byl veřejnosti nepřístupný, se dochovaly významné prvky přírodního a kulturního dědictví. Tato evropsky chráněná území (jako např. Evropsky významné lokality (EVL) Boletice, Šumava, Böhmerwald a Mühltäler) začínají být v současnosti zároveň významně navštěvovaným územím. Přitom velká část veřejnosti neví, že se jedná o chráněná území, a tím pádem se k přírodnímu bohatství nechová vhodným způsobem. Z tohoto důvodu se partneři projektu rozhodli tato území bohatá na přírodní a kulturní zajímavosti společně prezentovat návštěvníkům, a to informováním o méně známých částech přírodního dědictví v příhraniční oblasti a jejich zpřístupněním, konkrétně v okolí nově vyhlášené národní přírodní památky (NPP) Olšina. Za tímto účelem budou v rámci projektu realizována také související investiční opatření. Vybudována bude naučná stezka kolem rybníku Olšina a současně dojde za účelem zprostředkování informací návštěvníkům regionu z obou stran hranice o dosud opomíjené NPP, sousedních EVL Natury 2000 aj. k vytvoření vhodného prostoru – návštěvnického střediska Olšina - pro související aktivity. V daném regionu totiž dosud chybí návštěvnické středisko, které by poskytovalo informace o společném území z pohledu přírodního a zčásti také kulturního dědictví, mělo zároveň odpovídající expozici a dokázalo poskytnout informace o dané oblasti s jejími specifiky, ale současně tak, aby představilo region jako společné území. Součástí projektu jsou také společná interpretační a publicitní opatření pro veřejnost a návštěvníky společného přeshraničního regionu, kdy dojde poprvé ke společnému vytvoření přeshraniční nabídky na téma přírodní dědictví a Natura 2000 a bude zahájeno společné zprostředkování informací o této problematice (osvěta odbornými zaměstnanci partnerů, semináře a workshopy pro veřejnost, školy a další zájemce o přírodní dědictví regionu, aj.).

Die Hauptprojektergebnisse sind Aktivitäten, die auf die Interpretation des Naturerbes ausgerichtet sind (Bewussstseinbildung, Seminare, Workshops, Programme für die Öffentlichkeit), und Aktivitäten, die auf die Erschließung des Naturerbes ausgerichtet sind, konkret die Schaffung des Besucherzentrums Olšina einschließlich des Lehrpfads, in dem Ideen und Kenntnisse über das interpretierte Gebiet interaktiv vermittelt werden. Dank der Erhöhung des Bewusstseins über das Natur- und Kulturerbe der Region erhöht sich die Besucherzahl, was ein Potential für deren längeren Aufenthalt in der Region bietet.

Expected Outputs (CS):

Hlavními výsledky jsou aktivity zaměřené na interpretaci přírodního dědictví (osvěta, semináře, workshopy, programy pro veřejnost) a aktivity zaměřené na zpřístupnění PD, konkrétně vytvoření návštěvnického střediska Olšina včetně naučné stezky, ve kterém bude docházet ke zprostředkování myšlenek a poznatků o interpretovaném území interaktivní formou. Díky zvýšení povědomí o přírodním a kulturním dědictví regionu dojde k navýšení počtu návštěvníků, což v sobě skýtá potenciál pro jejich delší pobyt v regionu.
