Il progetto è parte di una rete ciclabile transfrontaliera collegata, che interessa l’Alto Adige. Il Tirolo del Nord e l’Engadina. Con l’ampliamento della ciclabile Claudia Augusta e la realizzazione del tratto ancora mancante al passo Resia nonché il progettato collegamento in Val Monastero, si intende realizzare, a lungo termine, un circuito della terra Raetica (Pfunds – Nauders – Malles – Val Müstair – Zernez – Scuol – Pfunds). Lo scopo del progetto è il sostegno e lo sviluppo del turismo ciclistico mediante un’azione concertata vedendolo come occasione alla diversificazione della struttura economica locale e lo sfruttamento sostenibile del terri-torio aumentando nel contempo sia l’attrattiva della regione frontaliera che la competitività delle imprese turistiche medie e piccole. Das Projekt ist Teil eines grenzüberschreitenden zusammenhängenden Radwegenetzes zwi-schen Nord- und Südtirol sowie dem Engadin. Mit dem Ausbau des Radwegs Via Claudia Augusta und Lückenschluss am Reschenpass sowie der geplanten Verbindung ins Münstertal soll auf lange Sicht eine Terra Raetica Rundreise (Pfunds-Nauders-Mals-Münstertal-Zernez-Scuol – Pfunds) realisiert werden. Ziel des Projektes ist es, den Rad-Tourismus in einer gemein-samen Aktion zu fördern und diesen als eine Gelegenheit zur Diversifizierung des lokalen wirtschaftlichen Gefüges sowie zur nachhaltigen Nutzung der Territorien wahrzuneh-men und damit die Attraktivität des Grenzraums sowie die Wettbewerbsfähigkeit der touristi-schen KMU zu erhöhen.
