Description (EN):

In the area of the blue economy there are endless opportunities for development in consolidated maritime subsectors such as fisheries, maritime transport and ports, or in emerging maritime tourism (nautical and cruise ships), aquaculture, or marine biotechnology, as reflected in the European Blue Growth Strategy. In this line, the SMART BLUE ATLANTIC project will develop network promotion activities and support services in innovation and internationalisation focused on the figure of regional maritime clusters and aimed at SMEs in the blue economy of the MAC cooperation space. This will result in an increase in critical mass and capacity that generates economies of scale in tissues dominated by small companies that help to undertake processes of innovation and access to other markets together that deliver greater results than doing so individually.

En el ámbito de la economía azul existen infinitas oportunidades de desarrollo en subsectores marítimos consolidados como pesca, transporte marítimo y puertos, o en emergentes como turismo marítimo (náutica y cruceros), acuicultura, o biotecnología marina, como se plasma en la estrategia europea de Crecimiento Azul. En esta línea, el proyecto SMART BLUE ATLANTIC desarrollara actividades de promoción de red y servicios de apoyo en innovación e internacionalización focalizados en la figura de los clusters marítimos regionales y dirigidos a las PYMEs de la economía azul del espacio de cooperación MAC. Esto redundara en un aumento de masa crítica y capacidad que genere economías de escala en tejidos dominados por pequeñas empresas que ayuden a acometer procesos de innovación y acceso a otros mercados de manera conjunta que ofrezcan mayores resultados que haciéndolo de manera individual.
