The FI-MAC project focuses on improving the capacity of SMEs in Macaronesia in the use, exploitation and exploitation of the Internet of the Future in general and of the fundamental and free platform FIWARE in particular, with the aim of accelerating the real internationalisation of SMEs in Macaronesia and improving their level of competitiveness both regional and national and international. Without the access of SMEs in Macaronesia on equal terms to these tools, and without access to value creation networks at European level, the real internationalisation of our companies will be a problem. The public administration of the Macaronesian region must provide its companies with the knowledge necessary to compete internationally. Thus FI-MAC was born, precisely recognising the importance of these emerging technologies and seeking a real boost of SMEs in Macaronesia to improve their competitiveness and internationalisation capacity.

El proyecto FI-MAC se centra en mejorar la capacidad de las PYMEs de la Macaronesia en el uso, aprovechamiento y explotación de la Internet del Futuro en general y de la plataforma fundamental y gratuita FIWARE en particular, con el objetivo de acelerar la internacionalización real de las PYMEs de la Macaronesia y mejorar su nivel de competitividad tanto regional y nacional como internacional. Sin el acceso de las PYMEs de la Macaronesia en igualdad de condiciones a estas herramientas, y sin el acceso a las redes de creación de valor a nivel europeo, la internacionalización real de nuestras empresas será un problema. La administración pública de la región macaronésica debe facilitar a sus empresas el conocimiento necesario para competir internacionalmente. Así nace FI-MAC, precisamente reconociendo la importancia que tienen estas tecnologías emergentes y buscando un impulso real de las PYMEs de la Macaronesia para mejorar su competitividad y su capacidad de internacionalización.
