Hur ska vi öka forskning och innovation för att ställa om till en bioekonomi med skogen som resurs? Ingoskog arbetar för att hitta metoder och arbetssätt för att öka innovationskraft och forskning hos högskolor, klusterorganisationer, företag, organisationer och civilsamhället i Inre Skandinavien. Genom grön omställning där skogen är en resurs, kan människors möjligheter till försörjning stärkas och regionens attraktivitet öka. Ingoskog har som mål att: - utveckla gemensamma begrepp inom grön omställning med särskilt fokus på olika aktörer. - utveckla metoder och verktyg för att arbeta innovativt i en grön omställning i skogen. - testa verktyg och affärsmodeller för att utveckla ett hållbart näringsliv. - bidra till att skapa en gemensam kunskapsbank och långsiktigt stärka samarbetet mellan företag, myndigheter, organisationer, universitet och högskolor för fortsatt gränsöverskridande samverkan runt skogen som en gemensam resurs i Inre Skandinavien.

How should we increase research and innovation to shift to a bioeconomy with forest as a resource? Ingoskog works to find methods and ways of working to increase innovation power and research at universities, cluster organisations, companies, organisations and civil society in Inner Scandinavia. Through a green transition where forests are a resource, people’s livelihoods can be strengthened and the region’s attractiveness can be increased. Ingoskog’s goal is to: - develop common concepts in green transition with a particular focus on different actors. - develop methods and tools to work innovatively in a green transition in the forest. - testing tools and business models to develop a sustainable business. - contribute to creating a common knowledge bank and strengthen long-term cooperation between companies, authorities, organisations, universities and higher education institutions for continued cross-border collaboration around the forest as a common resource in Inner Scandinavia.

Achievements (EN):

This report summarises the Interreg project “Innovation for green transition in the forest” (Ingoskog). The project ran from September 2017 to August 2020 and is part of Interreg’s Sweden-Norway programme. The purpose of the project was to increase the research, development and innovation capacity for a green transition with the forest as a resource, and to contribute to increased collaboration between actors with the forest as a common interest. The forest is of interest for many reasons to both researchers in various fields, firms within different industries, authorities and many other actors. There are conflicts between different interests at the same time as some of these interests can coexist. Through activities such as research, method development and the creation of networks for collaboration on the diverse value of the forest as a resource, Ingoskog has resulted in a number of publications, networks and future project ideas. Through solid continuous communication work, the results of the project have been disseminated to a broad target audience and will continue to contribute to the dissemination of knowledge about a green transition to a sustainable society with the forest as an important resource. In the report, we present the background of the project, the activities completed within the project, as well as the sub-goals, results and effects of the project. We also present the organisation of the project, in addition to including the voices of actors with different perspectives on the forest who took part in the project in various ways, for example, by participating in workshops and in their capacity as forest owners. The forest and its ecosystems are independent of national borders and the cross-border collaboration has played a central role in the project. In the report, we present the added value generated as a result of this cross-border approach, as well as the work with the horizontal criteria sustainable development, equality between women and men and equal opportunities and non-discrimination. We also present important key figures in the form of the number of firms, organisations and research institutes that have participated in the project, as well as the test and demo arenas that have been developed within the framework of the project. The report also includes information about the collaboration agreement which has been generated through the project, as well as other, non-formalised plans for future collaborations that have emerged from the project. At the end of the report, there is a list of all the publications that resulted from the project. On the project’s website, ingoskog.org, you will find all of the publications. The page will be continuously updated after the end of the project as new publications are added.
