University West and Høgskolen i Østfold have a close collaboration since before and are now running a joint three-year EU project called ETEAM for Welfare Technology — organising, introducing and using welfare technology in municipal health and social care. The aim is to, together with the municipalities in the region, as well as research efforts, strengthen the actors’ innovation capacity so that both municipalities, companies and academia in the border region can work more strategically to meet the prioritised needs and challenges of health and social care.

Högskolan Väst och Høgskolen i Østfold har ett nära samarbete sedan tidigare och driver nu ett gemensamt treårigt EU-projekt som heter eTeam för välfärdsteknologi – organisering, införande och användning av välfärdsteknologi i kommunal vård och omsorg. Målsättningen är att tillsammans med kommunerna i regionen, samt forskningsinsatser, stärka aktörernas innovationsförmåga så att både kommuner, företag och akademi i gränsregionen kan arbeta mer strategiskt för att möta de prioriterade behov och utmaningar som finns inom vård och omsorg.

Achievements (EN):

The ETEAM project has recently been completed. The project has been funded through Interreg Sweden-Norway. Since its inception in January 2018, the project has been focused on welfare technology in municipal health and social care from different perspectives. Municipalities in Fyrbodal, Sweden, as well as in Viken, Norway, have been the main target group of the project. Municipalities in this border region have great potential in the continued development and use of welfare technology, digitisation and diversion of new jobs and services. The parties to the ETEAM project have had the opportunity to learn from each other and exchange knowledge to promote municipal business development on both sides of the border. More than 15 researchers and employees from the two higher education institutions in the area, University West and Høgskolen in Østfold, as well as from the Västra Götaland region, have participated in the project. Employees from the company Stromder AB as well as from the City of Trollhättan and the municipality of Uddevalla have also participated and contributed with various studies and sub-projects. Gothenburg’s University, Lund University and the Municipality of Sotenäs also contributed resources initially to the project. The project has in various ways collaborated with the very festivities of the area’s municipalities, at workshops, seminars and meetings, but also through various studies of the introduction and use of welfare technology in practice. The project has also produced information about welfare technology and the design of future health and social care. For the researchers, the project has provided a valuable basis for research based on the practice that prevails in municipal care and social care. In a unique way, we have access to concrete problems regarding welfare technology and digitalisation as leaders, business developers and other healthcare professionals. care in the municipalities works with in their everyday lives. It is these people who have contributed to us being able to publish our results in both scientific and popular science contexts, based on the learning and knowledge that has been created in collaboration. The work-integrated learning that has permeated the project can hopefully make a difference and contribute to a positive social development in our region.

Achievements (SV):

Projektet eTeam har nu nyligen avslutats. Projektet har fnansierats genom Interreg Sverige-Norge. Sedan starten i januari 2018 har projektet varit fokuserat på välfärdsteknologi i kommunal vård och omsorg ur olika perspektiv. Kommuner i Fyrbodal, Sverige, samt i Viken, Norge, har varit den främsta målgruppen för projektet. Kommunerna i denna gränsregion har en stor potential i fortsatt utveckling och användning av välfärdsteknologi, økt digitalisering og utvikling av nye måter å jobbe og å yte tjenester på. Parterna inom eTeam-projektet har haft möjlighet att lära av varandra och utbyta kunskap för att främja kommunal verksamhetsutveckling på båda sidor om gränsen. Fler än 15 forskare och medarbetare från de två högskolorna i området, Högskolan Väst och Høgskolen i Østfold, samt från Västra Götalandsregionen har deltagit i projektet. Även medarbetare från företaget Stromder AB samt från Trollhättans Stad och Uddevalla kommun har deltagit och bidragit med olika studier och delprojekt. Göteborgs universitet, Lunds universitet och Sotenäs kommun bidrog också med resurser inledningsvis i projektet. Projektet har på olika sätt samverkat med de allra festa av områdets kommuner, vid workshops, seminarier och möten, men även genom olika studier av införande och användning av välfärdsteknologi i praktiken. Projektet har också producerat fera informationsflmer om välfärdsteknologi och utformning av framtidens vård och omsorg. För forskarna har projektet utgjort ett värdefullt underlag för forskning med utgångspunkt i den praktik som råder i den kommunala vården och omsorgen. Vi har på ett unikt sätt fått tillgång till konkreta problemställningar kring välfärdsteknologi och digitalisering som ledare, verksamhetsutvecklare och annan personal i vård och omsorg i kommunerna arbetar med i sin vardag. Det är dessa personer som har bidragit till att vi har kunnat publicera våra resultat i både vetenskapliga och populärvetenskapliga sammanhang, baserat på det lärande och den kunskap som har skapats i samverkan. Det arbetsintegrerade lärande som har genomsyrat projektet kan förhoppningsvis göra skillnad och bidra till en positiv samhällsutveckling i vår region.
