Description (EN):

Diomedea places the value of the heritage resources of the natural areas of Teno and Anaga in Tenerife and Banc d’Arguin and Diawling in Mauritania, guaranteeing their conservation and promoting their uniqueness. Ecotourism is used as a tool, understood as: the environmentally responsible trip, to poorly altered areas, to enjoy and appreciate nature while promoting conservation, having a low environmental impact and providing a socio-economic benefit to the local population. Actions are proposed to study resources, create models of management and exchange of experiences, train professionals and entrepreneurs, create business networks, adapt destinations through informative, interpretive and housing infrastructures, promote natural resources and create joint products resulting from cooperation between two geographically close territories and with a nature capable of attracting numerous benefits to the local population.

DIOMEDEA pone el valor los recursos patrimoniales de los espacios naturales de Teno y Anaga en Tenerife y Banc d'Arguin y Diawling en Mauritania, garantizando su conservación y promocionando sus singularidades. Se usa como herramienta el ecoturismo, entendido como: el viaje ambientalmente responsable, a áreas poco alteradas, para disfrutar y apreciar la naturaleza a la vez que se promueve la conservación, teniendo un bajo impacto ambiental y proporcionando un beneficio socioeconómico a la población local. Se plantean acciones encaminadas a estudiar los recursos, crear modelos de gestión e intercambio de experiencias, formar profesionales y emprendedores, crear redes empresariales, adecuar los destinos mediante infraestructuras informativas, interpretativas y alojativas, promocionar los recursos naturales y crear productos conjuntos fruto de la cooperación entre dos territorios geográficamente próximos y con una naturaleza capaces de atraer numerosos beneficios a la población local.
