Projektets huvudsakliga mål är att förbättra konkurrenskraften hos SMF vars kunder finns inom processindustrin (gruvor/energi/olja/gas) genom att stödja dem i att hitta behov och möjligheter i att utveckla nya funktionella affärsmodeller (dvs. utveckla produkter, tjänster och andra erbjudanden) samt bygga forskningspartnerskap för forskningsprogram inom EU. Detta ska bl.a. leda till nya metoder och verktyg för utveckling och implementering av avancerade affärsmodeller mot regionala och globala kunder samt en uppdaterad ProcessIT.EU Roadmap som ska kunna påverka policy/beslutsfattare och organisationer som finansierar forskning och utveckling. Den huvudsakliga målgruppen är SMFs som är leverantörer till processindustrin och strävar efter att tillhandahålla innovativa produkter, tjänster och mer avancerade erbjudanden riktade mot nya internationella marknader. SMF får möjligheter att specialisera sig och växa inom regionen innan de satsar internationellt. De nordiska länderna har dåliga förrutsättningar att konkurrera med produkter och tjänster som har lågt mervärde. Innovationer och nya affärsmodeller behövs för att SMF ska kunna stanna kvar på marknaden. När SMF specialiserar sig mot mer avancerade erbjudanden behöver de, förutom större marknad, även nya partners. Projektet riktar sig även mot forsknings och industriorganisationer som vill förbättra SMF-nätverk inom regionen och på så sätt få information om nuvarande utmaningar som berör processindustrin. Detta ger bättre möjligheter att träda in i Europeiska FoU-projekt och samarbeten. Historien med Pro-cessIT.EU visar att gränsöverskridande samarbete gör de nordliga aktörerna mer intressant för Europeiska aktörer.

Description (EN):

The main objective of the project is to improve the competitiveness of SMEs whose customers are in the process industry (mining/energy/oil/gas) by supporting them in finding needs and opportunities in developing new functional business models (i.e. developing products, services and other offers) and building research partnerships for research programmes in the EU. This will, among other things, lead to new methods and tools for the development and implementation of advanced business models towards regional and global customers, as well as an updated ProcessIT.EU Roadmap that will be able to influence policy/decision-makers and organisations that fund research and development. The main target group is SMEs, which are suppliers to the process industry and strive to provide innovative products, services and more advanced offers aimed at new international markets. SMEs have the opportunity to specialise and grow within the region before investing internationally. The Nordic countries have poor opt-outs to compete with low value added products and services. Innovation and new business models are needed to keep SMEs on the market. When SMEs specialise in more advanced offers, in addition to larger markets, they also need new partners. The project is also aimed at research and industrial organisations that want to improve SME networks within the region and thus get information about current challenges affecting the process industry. This provides better opportunities for entry into European R & D projects and collaborations. The history of Pro-cessIT.EU shows that cross-border cooperation makes Northern actors more interesting for European actors.

Achievements (SV):

Mål: Projektets huvudsakliga mål var att förbättra konkurrenskraften hos regionens SMF vars kunder finns inom processindustrin. Resultat: Projektet har utvecklat flera modeller och verktyg för affärsmodellsutveckling, som har bevisat sitt värde genom praktiskt arbete tillsammans med SMF och processindustrier. Här är de mest framträdande: Business Modell Innovation Tool samt en modell för workshopar. Vidare har även en roadmap för utvecklingsbehovet inom IT och automation för processindustrin tagits fram. Denna är redan välanvänd inom processindustri och de som utvecklar nationella och internationella RDI-policys samt de som finansierar forskning inom området inom Sverige, Finland, Norge och resten av EU. Ovan nämnda kommer att vidareutvecklas och användas även efter projektet. 119 företag var involverade i projektets aktiviteter. En slutsats från projektet är att fokus och behov i den närmaste framtiden behöver handla om digitala ekosystem. https://process-sme.eu/process-sme/processsme-project/

Achievements (EN):

Objective: The main objective of the project was to improve the competitiveness of the region’s SMEs whose customers are in the process industry. Results: The project has developed several models and tools for business model development, which have proven their value through practical work together with SMEs and process industries. Here are the most prominent: Business Model Innovation Tool and a model for workshops. In addition, a roadmap for the development needs in IT and automation for the process industry has also been developed. This is already well used in the process industry and those who develop national and international RDI policies as well as those that fund research in the field in Sweden, Finland, Norway and the rest of the EU. The above will be further developed and used even after the project. 119 companies were involved in the project’s activities.
