Das Ziel des Projektes liegt in der Entdeckung, Erschließung und Vermarktung der Kultur- und Natursehenswürdigkeiten entlang des Grünen Bandes im Bereich des Flusses March/Morava, durch umweltschonendes Radfahren. Sowohl der zum europäischen EuroVelo-Netz gehörende Radweg Eurovelo 13 als auch der Kamp-Thaya-March Radweg führen durch das grenzüberschreitende Gebiet Österreichs und Slowakei entlang der beiden Ufer des Morava-Flusses im Abschnitt Hohenau/Moravský Sv. Ján – Bratislava/Kittsee. Das Projekt schliesst an die laufende Aktivitäten des gleichnamigen Projektes zwischen Österreich und der Tschechischen Republik an. Durch Storytelling soll europäische Geschichte, Politik, Natur und Kultur erlebbar gemacht werden. Die Verbesserung der Zugänglichkeit, die touristische Aufbereitung des bestehenden Kultur- und Naturerbes entlang des Grünen Bandes und gemeinsame Marketingaktivitäten führen zur Belebung der Grenzregion, nachhaltiger Nutzung der Kultur- und Naturstätten, dem Aufbau von grenzüberschreitenden Partnerschaften samt Etablierung von Kommunikations- und Arbeitsstrukturen, Förderung einer gemeinsamen reg. Identität, sowie Qualitätssteigerung durch einheitliche Standards bei Dienstleistungen für Radtouristen.

Cieľom projektu je odhalenie, užívanie a uvedenie na trh doposiaľ skrytých kultúrnych a prírodných pamätihodností pozdĺž Zeleného pásu v oblasti rieky Moravy, prostredníctvom cykloturistiky šetrnej k životnému prostrediu. Cyklotrasa patriaca k európskej sieti EuroVelo vedie, rovnako ako cyklotrasa Kamp-Thaya-March, hraničným pásmom Rakúska a Slovenska po oboch brehoch rieky Moravy v úseku Hohenau / moravský Sv. Ján - Bratislava / Kittsee. Projekt kontinuálne nadväzuje na už prebiehajúce aktivity rovnomenného projektu medzi Rakúskom a Českou republikou. Pozdĺž trasy majú byť vďaka Storytellingu (rozprávanie príbehov) priblížené dejiny európskej histórie, politiky, prírody a kultúry. Zlepšenie prístupnosti, turistické spracovanie existujúceho kultúrneho a prírodného dedičstva pozdĺž Zeleného pásu a spoločné marketingové aktivity povedú k oživeniu prihraničného regiónu, udržateľnému užívaniu kultúrnych a prírodných lokalít, vytváraniu cezhraničného partnerstva prostredníctvom zavedenia komunikačných a pracovných systémov, podpore spoločnej regionálnej identity, ako aj k zvýšeniu kvality prostredníctvom jednotných štandardov poskytovaných služieb cykloturistom.

The project’s aim is the unveiling, development and marketing of the cultural and natural attractions along the Green Belt in the area of the River Morava by environmentally friendly bicycle touring. Both the Eurovelo 13 and the Kamp-Thaya-March cycle paths, which are part of the European EuroVelo network, run through the transboundary area of Austria and Slovakia along the two banks of the River Morava in the section Hohenau / Moravský Sv. Ján - Bratislava / Kittsee. The project follows the ongoing activities of the eponymous project between Austria and the Czech Republic. Storytelling will bring European history, politics, nature and culture to life. The improvement of accessibility, touristic preparation of the existing cultural and natural heritage along the Green Belt and joint marketing activities lead to the revitalization of the border region, sustainable use of cultural and natural sites, the establishment of cross-border partnerships, including the establishment of communication and working structures, promotion of one common regional identity as well as the quality improvement through uniform standards in services for cyclists.

Expected Results (DE):

Das kulturelle und natürliche Erbe der Grenzregion SK - AT entlang des Grünen Bandes zwischen Hohenau an der March und Bratislava soll nachhaltig in Wert gesetzt werden. Sehenswürdigkeiten sollen besser erschlossen, besser zugänglich gemacht und vermarktet werden. Das Grüne Band soll als Rückgrat eines einzigartigen Verbundes von Natur- und Kulturerbe auch für künftige Generationen als lebendiges Denkmal der Zeitgeschichte bewahrt und eine nachhaltige (Rad)Tourismusentwicklung forciert werden. Neue internationale Zielgruppen sollen angesprochen werden. Mit dem vermittelten Themenstrang werden die Geschichte und die kulturellen Wurzeln der Region sichtbar und bewusst gemacht. Die Auseinandersetzung mit regionaler Kultur und Geschichte mit innovativen Methoden zur Kulturvermittlung werden forciert und stärken die Identifizierung mit der Region. Die Erschließung der Natur- und Kulturschätze erfolgt durch die Atraktivierung und Sichtbarmachung der Radwege.

Expected Results (SK):

Kultúrne a prírodné dedičstvo prihraničného regiónu medzi Slovenskom a Rakúskom pozdĺž Zeleného pásu medzi Hohenau an der March a Bratislavou bude udržateľným spôsobom zhodnotené. Pamätihodnosti budú lepšie prístupné používateľom a získajú svoje miesto na trhu. Zelený pás bude zachovaný ako chrbtica jedinečného spojenia prírodného a kultúrneho dedičstva tiež budúcim generáciám ako živý pamätník dejín a bude slúžiť rozvoju udržateľnej turistiky a cykloturistiky. Zároveň budú oslovené nové medzinárodné cieľové skupiny. Prostredníctvom tematického zosieťovania sa zviditeľnia a dostanú do povedomia dejiny a kultúrne korene regiónu. Vzájomný stret regionálnych kultúr a dejín bude prostredníctvom inovatívnych metód ďalej rozvíjaný ako spoločná kultúra a posilní sa tak identifikovanie sa s regiónom. Prírodné a kultúrne bohatstvo sa prostredníctvom cyklotrasy sprístupní, zviditeľní a zatraktívni.

Expected Results (EN):

The cultural and natural heritage of the border region SK - AT along the Green Belt between Hohenau an der March and Bratislava should be promoted. Attractions should be better accessible and should get their spot on the market. The Green Belt, as the backbone of a unique network of natural and cultural heritage, is to be preserved as a living monument of contemporary history for future generations as well as to serve in promoting sustainable (cycling) tourism development. New international target groups should be addressed. The profile of the history and region’s cultural roots will be raised through thematic cross-linking. The exploration of regional culture and history with innovative methods of cultural mediation will be accelerated and strengthen identification of oneself with the region. The biking rail will make the cultural and natural heritag more accessible, visible and attractive.
