In Schulen und Universitäten gibt es derzeit einen Mangel an Interesse an den MINT‐Fächern (Mathematik, Informatik, Naturwissenschaft und Technik) und an hierfür gut ausgebildeten Lehrkräften in Österreich und der Slowakei. Besonders Frauen sind in den MINT‐Bereichen deutlich unterrepräsentiert. Dies führt zu Engpässen auf dem Arbeitsmarkt, obwohl in der gesamten Region eine steigende Nachfrage nach MINT‐Personal besteht. Robotik in der Bildung hat sich als wertvolles Werkzeug für praktisches Lernen erwiesen, nicht nur für die Robotik selbst, sondern allgemein für MINT‐Themen. RoboCoop ist ein einzigartiges Projekt mit dem Ziel das multidisziplinäre Potenzial der Robotik zu nutzen und grenzüberschreitende Bildungsaktivitäten zu etablieren, um das Interesse an den MINT‐Themen zu wecken. Durch den Mix an sich ergänzenden Aktivitäten wie Workshops, Schülerkonferenzen, und Wettbewerben erhalten junge Menschen unterschiedliche Einstiegspunkte in Wissenschaft und Technik. Insbesondere sollen mehr Mädchen für MINT interessiert werden, indem sich der Methodenmix nicht nur auf Technologie konzentriert sondern auch auf Kreativität. Darüber wird ein Bildungsportal Zugang zu digitalen Materialien bieten, die im Schulunterricht, in schulfernen Kursen und zu Hause verwendet werden können. Darüber hinaus soll das Projekt dem Lehrpersonal neue Werkzeuge für die MINT‐Fächer zur Verfügung stellen, um diese in ihrem Unterricht integrieren zu können. Im Rahmen des Projekts RoboCoop werden mehr als 4000 SchülerInnen, Studierende und innovative MINTPädagogInnen auf interregionaler Ebene ermutigt und engagiert, um als positives Beispiel für den breiteren Einsatz auf nationaler Ebene in den beiden Ländern zu dienen. Darüber hinaus soll eine umfassende Evaluierung aller Projektaktivitäten zu politischen Empfehlungen führen, um eine systematische und langfristige Umsetzung der Projektideen zu gewährleisten und somit zu einer baldigen Einführung von Robotikthemen auf der Sekundarstufe führen.

V súčasnosti zaznamenávame nedostatok záujmu študentov o vedu, technológiu, inžinierstvo a matematiku (STEM) a nedostatok dobre vyškolených učiteľov v týchto oblastiach v Rakúsku a na Slovensku. Najmä zastúpenie žien v oblasti STEM je nedostatočné. To spôsobuje nedostatok na trhu práce, hoci dopyt po zamestnancoch v oblasti STEM v celom regióne rastie. Robotika vo vzdelávaní sa ukázala ako cenný nástroj praktického učenia nielen pre samotnú robotiku, ale vo všeobecnosti pre témy STEM a prináša veľké výhody vzdelávaniu ako takému. RoboCoop je unikátny projekt zameraný na využitie multidisciplinárneho potenciálu robotiky a vytváranie cezhraničných vzdelávacích aktivít, ktoré podporia záujem študentov o STEM. Vďaka vyváženej kombinácii doplnkových aktivít, ako sú workshopy, študentské konferencie, súťaže a vzdelávacie exkurzie, mladí ľudia dostanú rôzne podnety v oblasti vedy a techniky. Záujem viacerých dievčat o STEM by mal byť podporený charakterom aktivít, ktoré sa budú zameriavať nielen na technológiu, ale aj na kreativitu a kombináciu týchto metód. Nový vzdelávací portál navyše poskytne prístup k bezplatným a otvoreným digitálnym materiálom, ktoré možno použiť na vyučovacích hodinách, na neformálnych kurzoch a doma. Okrem toho ponúka školiteľom semináre zamerané na prípravu učiteľov a poskytuje učiteľom nové nástroje a informácie o vzdelávaní STEM pre začlenenie do vlastných vyučovacích hodín. Cieľom projektu RoboCoop je podporovať a zapojiť viac ako 4 000 študentov škôl a vysokých škôl a inovatívnych pedagógov v STEM na medziregionálnej úrovni, čo predstavuje pozitívny príklad aj na národných úrovniach. Okrem toho by komplexné hodnotenie všetkých projektových aktivít malo viesť k legislatívnym odporúčaniam s cieľom zabezpečiť systematické a dlhodobé využívanie projektových nápadov a k skorému zavedeniu robotických tém na úrovni stredoškolského vzdelávania.

Schools and universities are currently experiencing a lack of interest in STEM subjects (mathematics, computer science, science and technology) and well-trained teachers in Austria and Slovakia. Women are especially underrepresented in the MINT areas. This creates bottlenecks in the labor market although there is an increasing demand for STEM staff throughout the region. Robotics in education has proven to be a valuable tool for practical learning, not just for robotics itself, but in general for STEM topics. RoboCoop is a unique project with the aim to exploit the multidisciplinary potential of robotics and to establish cross-border educational activities in order to arouse interest in STEM topics. Through the mix of complementary activities such as workshops, student conferences, and competitions, young people get different entry points in science and technology. In particular, more girls should be interested in MINT as the mix of methods focuses not only on technology but also on creativity. In addition, an educational portal will provide access to digital materials that can be used in classroom, off-school, and home-based courses. In addition, the project will provide teachers with new tools for STEM subjects to integrate them into their lessons. The RoboCoop project encourages and engages more than 4,000 students, universtiy students and innovative STEM educators on an interregional level to serve as a positive example of broader national engagement in the two countries. In addition, a comprehensive evaluation of all project activities should result in policy recommendations to ensure a systematic and long-term implementation of project ideas thus leading to the early introduction of robotics issues at secondary level.

Expected Results (DE):

1. Durchführung von grenzüberschreitenden MINTBildungsmaßnahmen für SchülerInnen, Studierende und LehrerInnen. Insgesamt sollen 1800 SchülerInnen an den Workshops teilnehmen, weitere 1400 an den Konferenzen und Wettbewerben sowie 400 an Bildungstrips. Etwa 100 LehrerInnen sollen an Trainings teilnehmen und 300 Studierende an den Vorlesungen des Forscheraustauschs. 2. Das Projekt soll Wissens‐ und Erfahrungsaustausch zwischen den Regionen ermöglichen und Jugendliche mit unterschiedlichem Hintergrund einbeziehen. Innovatives Lehr‐ und DO‐IT‐YOURSELF‐Material für die Robotik soll erstellt und über eine Bildungsplattform bereit gestellt werden. Schulen und interessierte Menschen der Region sollen diese Plattform regelmäßig während und nach dem Projekt nutzen. 3. Die Evaluierung aller Projektaktivitäten soll zu politischen Empfehlungen führen um eine systematische und langfristige Umsetzung der Projektideen und eine frühere Einführung von Robotik‐Themen im Bildungsbereich zu erreichen.

Expected Results (SK):

1. Realizácia cezhraničných vzdelávacích a školiacich aktivít STEM pre študentov ŠŠ a VŠ, učiteľov a verejnosť. Cieľom je, aby sa workshopov zúčastnilo celkovo 1800 študentov, na robotických konferenciách a súťažiach sa zúčastnilo 1400 a ďalších 400 na exkurziách. Okrem toho by sa tréningov pre učiteľov malo zúčastniť 100 učiteľov. 2. Projektový ekosystém by mal umožniť prenos poznatkov a výmenu skúseností medzi regiónmi. RoboCoop zapojí mládež z veľmi odlišného prostredia a bude ho sprevádzať až do ukončenia SŠ. Výsledkom bude aj vytvorenie inovatívnych výučbových a DO‐IT‐YOURSELF materiálov pre robotiku a zdieľanie týchto informácií cez vzdelávaciu platformu. Je zámerom, aby SŠ a verejnosť v regióne pravidelne využívali platformu počas projektu a po ňom. 3. Komplexné hodnotenie všetkých projektových aktivít, ktoré povedie k politickým odporúčaniam s cieľom zabezpečiť systematickú a dlhodobú realizáciu projektových nápadov a skoršie zavedenie STEM vo vzdelávaní.

Expected Results (EN):

1. Implementation of cross-border MINT education measures for pupils, students and teachers. A total of 1,800 pupils are expected to participate in the workshops, another 1,400 at the conferences and competitions as well as 400 educational trips. About 100 teachers will participate in training and 300 students will participate in the lectures of the researcher exchange. 2. The project aims to facilitate the knowledge exchange and experience between the regions and to engage young people from different backgrounds. Innovative teaching and DO-IT-YOURSELF material for robotics will be created and delivered through an educational platform. Schools and interested people in the region should use this platform regularly during and after the project. 3. The evaluation of all project activities should lead to policy recommendations in order to achieve a systematic and long-term implementation of the project ideas and an earlier introduction of robotics topics in the field of education.
