Príroda nie je len niečo, čo sme zdedili a čo máme „zakonzervovať“ v chránených oblastiach pre ďalšie generácie, ale je aj neoddeliteľnou súčasťou kvality života a kľúčom k pozitívnemu imidžu regiónu. Tieto prírodné hodnoty majú mimoriadny význam predovšetkým pre cestovný ruch, hlavne ak ide o to, odlíšiť sa od ostatných konkurenčných regiónov na trhu. Projektový región je bohatý na takéto prírodné a kultúrne zvláštnosti (napr. Malý a Veľký Žitný ostrov, Dunajské luhy, Národný park Neusiedler See – Seewinkel, Leithaauen, Národný park Neusiedlersee–Leithagebirge a Národný park Rosalia-Kogelberg, mnoho hradov a zámkov). Táto rozmanitosť a početnosť ekosystémov mokradí je závislá od systému a nie je možné brať ich do úvahy nezávisle od seba („wetland values“). O týchto vzácnych biotopoch v mokradiach chýbajú cezhraničné vedomosti. Doteraz neexistuje žiadna koordinovaná príprava, žiadna cieľavedomá spolupráca predstaviteľov cestovného ruchu, a preto ani žiadna cezhraničná ponuka pre záujemcov o turizmus. Existujúce štruktúry v turizme nie je možné vzájomne porovnávať ani na organizačnej ani na prevádzkovej úrovni. Projektoví partneri plánujú v prvom kroku vybudovanie príslušných ekoturistických štruktúr a kapacít s cieľom umožniť spoločný rozvoj. Toto prebehne na základe transferu príslušného know how od etablovaných rakúskych subjektov. Potom sa na projektovom území spoločne identifikujú a spracujú možnosti zhodnocovania prírodného a kultúrneho dedičstva. Na začiatku plánujú projektoví partneri vytvorenie spoločnej cezhraničnej stratégie a na základe tejto stratégie vypracovanie modelov budúcej spolupráce relevantných aktérov. S cieľom udržateľného etablovania projektu je plánované intenzívne zapojenie obyvateľstva a príslušne zameraných podnikov. S partnermi na oboch stranách hranice budú vypracované ekoturistické ponuky orientované na konkrétne cieľové skupiny, ktoré budú spoločne prezentované na relevantných trhoch.

Natur ist nicht nur etwas Ererbtes, das in Schutzgebieten für kommende Generationen - “konserviert” werden soll, sondern auch ein unverzichtbarer Teil der Lebensqualität und der Schlüssel zu einem positiven Image der Region. Besondere Bedeutung haben diese Naturwerte zudem für die Tourismuswirtschaft, geht es doch um die Unterscheidung von anderen, am Markt konkurrierenden Regionen. Die Projektregion ist reich an solchen natürlichen und kulturellen Besonderheiten (z.B.: Kleine und Große Schüttinsel, Dunajské Luhy, Nationalpark Neusiedler See–Seewinkel, Leithaauen, Naturpark Neusiedler See–Leithagebirge und Naturpark Rosalia-Kogelberg, viele Burgen und Schlösser). Diese Vielfalt und Vielzahl an Feuchtgebietsökosystemen sind systemabhängig und dürfen nicht unabhängig voneinander betrachtet werden (“wetland values”). Was fehlt ist das grenzüberschreitende Wissen über diese wertvollen Lebensräume in Feuchtgebieten. Es gibt bisher keine koordinierte Aufbereitung, keine zielgerichtete Zusammenarbeit der touristischen Akteure und daher bislang auch keine grenzüberschreitenden Angebote. Die derzeit vorhandenen Strukturen im Tourismus sind weder auf der organisatorischen, noch auf der betrieblichen Ebene miteinander vergleichbar. Um eine gemeinsame Entwicklung zu ermöglichen, planen die Projektpartner als ersten Schritt den Aufbau entsprechender ökotouristischer Strukturen und Kapazitäten in Angriff zu nehmen. Das soll mit entsprechendem Know-how - Transfer der etablierten österreichischen Akteure umgesetzt werden. Danach sollen gemeinsam Möglichkeiten zur Inwertsetzung des Natur- und Kulturerbes im Projektgebiet identifiziert und aufbereitet werden. Dazu ist zu Beginn die Erstellung einer gemeinsamen grenzüberschreitenden Strategie geplant und darauf aufbauend die Erarbeitung von Modellen zur künftigen Kooperation der relevanten Akteure.Zur nachhaltigen Verankerung des Projektes ist eine umfassende Einbindung der Bevölkerung und entsprechend ausgerichteter Betriebe vorgesehen.

Nature is not just something inherited that should be "conserved" in protected areas for future generations, but also an indispensable part of the quality of life and the key to a positive image of the region. In addition, these natural values are of particular importance for the tourism industry since it is about distinguishing them from other regions competing on the market. The project region is rich in such natural and cultural features (for example: Small and Large Schüttinsel, Dunajské Luhy, National Park Neusiedler See-Seewinkel, Leithaauen, Nature Park Neusiedler See-Leitha Mountains and Nature Park Rosalia-Kogelberg, many castles and chateaus). This diversity and variety of wetland ecosystems are system-dependent and should not be considered independently ("wetland values"). What is missing is the cross-border knowledge about these valuable habitats in wetlands. So far, there has been no coordinated preparation, no targeted cooperation between tourist operators and therefore no cross-border offers. The existing structures in tourism are comparable neither at the organizational level nor at the operational level. In order to enable a common development, the project partners plan the construction of appropriate ecotouristic structures and capacities in attack as a first step. This should be implemented with the appropriate know-how transfer of the established Austrian players. Thereafter, opportunities for the valorisation of the natural and cultural heritage in the project area should be identified and prepared together. For this purpose, the development of a common cross-border strategy is planned at the beginning and the elaboration of models for the future co-operation of the relevant stakeholders on this basis. A comprehensive involvement of the population and appropriate aligned enterprises is planned for a sustainable employment of the project.

Expected Results (SK):

Vďaka spoločnej tvorbe informačných materiálov, ako aj spoločnej tvorbe ponuky, budú relevantné organizácie na oboch stranách hranice spolupracovať pri vývoji zážitkových programov týkajúcich sa prírodného a kultúrneho dedičstva. Spoločne sa budú tvoriť nové cezhraničné ponuky. Vďaka spoločným workshopom, exkurziám a štúdijným exkurziám pre multiplikátorov a iných zúčastnených sa bude zvyšovať počet účastníkov na spoločných tréningoch. Tým, že na oboch stranách hranice budú vypracované informácie o ponukách prírodných zážitkov v susednej krajine, ktoré budú distribuované prostredníctvom ubytovacích zariadení, informačných centier a iných hotspotov, je možné počítať so zvyšujúcim sa počtom návštevníkov prírodných území projektového regiónu. Tento nárast je možné kvantifikovať na základe počtu účastníkov (nových) programov prírodných zážitkov.

Expected Results (DE):

Durch die gemeinsame Aufbereitung von Infomaterialien sowie der gemeinsamen Angebotsentwicklung arbeiten die relevanten Organisationen auf beiden Seiten der Grenze bei der Entwicklung von Erlebnisprogrammen zum Natur- und Kulturerbe zusammen. Es werden gemeinsam neue grenzüberschreitende Angebote entwickelt. Durch die gemeinsamen Workshops, Exkursionen und Study tours für Multiplikatoren und andere Stakeholder steigt die Anzahl der Teilnehmer an gemeinsamen Trainings. Dadurch, dass es beiderseits der Grenze aufbereitete Infos über die Naturerlebnisangebote im Nachbarland gibt, welche über die Beherbergungsbetriebe,, Infozentren und andere Hotspots verteilt werden, ist mit einem steigenden Besucheraufkommen in den Naturgebieten der Projektregion zu rechnen. Dieser Zuwachs kann anhand der Anzahl an Teilnehmern bei den (neuen) Naturerlebnisprogrammen quantifiziert werden.

Expected Results (EN):

The relevant organizations on both sides of the border will work together in developing adventure programs about natural and cultural heritage through the joint preparation of information materials as well as joint development of offers. New cross-border offers will be developed together. The number of participants in joint training will increase thanks to joint workshops, field trips and study tours for multipliers and other stakeholders. Both sides of the border will prepare information about the nature experience offers in the neighboring country and which will be distributed by the accommodation facilities, information centers and other hotspots which is expected to increase visitor numbers in the natural areas of the project region. This increase can be quantified by the number of participants in the (new) nature experience programs.
