El reto del proyecto OPCC-2 es adaptar el territorio de la Comunidad de Trabajo de los Pirineos (CTP), 7 regiones, al cambio climático. El Observatorio Pirenaico de Cambio Climático (OPCC) tiene por misión ser la plataforma de referencia de CC en los Pirineos. Sus objetivos estratégicos son: - Analizar y facilitar el conocimiento sobre los impactos del cambio climático en los Pirineos y sobre la vulnerabilidad de los sistemas naturales y humanos. - Desarrollar herramientas para permitir la toma de decisiones para una mejor adaptación y difundir los trabajos del observatorio a los actores sectoriales enlace . - Dar visibilidad europea e internacional de la naturaleza transnacional de los Pirineos en materia de observación y adaptación al cambio climático. Los resultados esperados son minimizar los efectos y consecuencias del CC y aprovechar de forma innovadora las oportunidades que surjan en la zona. Para conseguir los objetivos y retos, el OPCC ha diseñado acciones que serán desarrolladas por la CTP, JdF del proyecto, y sus 6 socios; expertos técnicos que cubren todo el territorio transfronterizo. Las materias relacionadas con el cambio climático y los socios son: clima, ciclo hídrico, bosques, ecosistemas sensibles y de manera transversal los sectores socioeconómicos. El proyecto también contará con una red de expertos científicos de prestigio que avalarán los trabajos y publicaciones del proyecto.

Le défi du projet OPCC-2 est d'adapter le territoire de la CTP, composé de 8 régions au changement climatique. L'OPCC a pour mission d'être la plate-forme de référence du changement climatique dans les Pyrénées. Ses objectifs stratégiques sont: - Analyser et fournir des connaissances sur les impacts du changement climatique dans les Pyrénées et sur la vulnérabilité des systèmes naturels et humains. - Développer des outils pour permettre la prise de décision pour une meilleur adaptation et de diffuser les travaux de l'observatoire auprès des acteurs relais. - Donner de la visibilité a l’échelle de l’Europe et a l’internationale concernant la nature transnationale des Pyrénées en matière d’observation et d'adaptation au changement climatique. Les résultats attendus sont minimiser effets et conséquences du changement climatique et de profiter de manière innovante des opportunités qui apparaissent au sein de la zone. Pour atteindre les objectifs et défis, l’OPCC a désigné actions qui seront développés par le CTP, le CdF du projet et ses 6 partenaires; experts techniques qui couvrent l'ensemble du territoire transfrontalier. Les questions en relation avec le changement climatique et les partenaires sont: climat, cycle de l'eau, les forêts, les écosystèmes sensibles et de manière transversale les secteurs socio-économiques. Le projet comprendra également un réseau d'experts scientifiques de grande renommée qui garantit la qualité des travaux et publications du projet.

The challenge of the OPCC-2 project is to adapt the territory of the Working Community of the Pyrenees (CTP), composed of 7 regions, to climate change. The mission of the Pyrenees Climate Change Observatory (OPCC) is to be the reference platform of climate change in the Pyrenees. Its strategic objectives are: - To analyze and to provide knowledge about the impacts of climate change in the Pyrenees and about the vulnerability of natural and human systems. - To develop tools to enable decision making for a better adaption and dissemination of the work of the observatory to key sectorial actors. - To give european and international visibility of the transnational nature of the Pyrenees about observation and adaptation to climate change. The expected results are to minimize the effects and consequences of climate change and take advantage of some innovative emerging opportunities in the area. To achieve the goals and challenges, the OPCC designed actions that will be developed by the CTP, the leader of the project and its 6 partners; technical experts covering all cross-border territory. Matters related to climate change and partners are: climate, water cycle, forests, sensitive ecosystems and socio-economic sectors as transversal issues. The project will also include a network of prestigious scientific experts who will support the work and publications of the project.
