Este proyecto se inscribe en una lógica de revitalización económica, basándose en la revalorización de una de las rutas de Compostela, Itinerario Cultural Europeo y Patrimonio Mundial por la UNESCO, conocido en España como Camino Francés, Voie d’Arles en Francia. Camino de Santiago que discurre a través de un entorno pirenaico de gran potencial (patrimonio natural y cultural de excepción), adolece no solo de una evidente falta de seguridad en un tramo determinado sino también de importantes deterioros, lo que obliga a los peregrinos a cambiar de ruta o tomar el autobús. El deteriorado estado físico de conservación y la falta de protección hacen difícil el transito, y así lo acredita el número reducido de peregrinos que utilizan este paso. Camino Francés pretende conceptuar el camino de una manera unificada en colaboración con los distintos actores del territorio. El objetivo es desarrollar una oferta turística común y diferenciada basada en la puesta en valor de los recursos naturales y patrimoniales pirenaicos de este camino (Portalet, Canfranc) adaptada de manera a ofrecer a los peregrinos las mejores condiciones de acogida no sólo en términos de seguridad sino también desde el punto de vista de sensibilización con el entorno pirenaico. Este partenariado tiene por tanto una clara vocación de fomentar el potencial económico de los valles afectados, respondiendo a la Directriz de Ordenación del Territorio de Aragón, y al Plan de Montaña (Etat-Région-Département) francés.

This project is part of a logic of economic revitalization, based on the revaluation of one of the Jacobean Itinerary, European Cultural Itinerary and World Heritage by UNESCO, known in Spain as Camino Francés, Voie d'Arles in France. The Way of Saint James that runs through a Pyrenean environment of great potential (an exceptional natural and cultural heritage), suffers not only of an evident lack of security on a particular section but also of important deteriorations, which forces the pilgrims to change their route or take the bus. Its deteriorated state of conservation and the lack of protection make transit difficult, and this is evidenced by the small number of pilgrims who use this route. Camino Francés intends to conceptualize the Way as a single unit in collaboration with the different actors of the territory. The objective is to develop a common and differentiated tourist offer based on the valorization of the natural and patrimonial Pyrenean resources of this route (Portalet, Canfranc) adapted to offer pilgrims the best hosting conditions not only in terms of safety but also from the point of view of awareness with the Pyrenean environment. This partnership therefore has a clear vocation to promote the economic potential of the affected valleys, in line to the Directriz de Ordenación del Territorio de Aragón, and to the French Plan de Montaña (Etat-Région-Département).

Ce projet s’inscrit dans une logique de revitalisation économique, s’appuyant sur une revalorisation d’un des axes du chemin de Compostelle, itinéraire culturel européen et patrimoine Mondial de l’Unesco, connu en Espagne comme Camino Francés, Voie d’Arles en France. Ce chemin jacquaire qui parcourt un environnement pyrénéen à fort potentiel (patrimoine naturel et culturel d’exception), souffre non seulement d’une carence évidente de sécurisation sur un tronçon particulier mais aussi d’importantes détériorations, ce qui oblige les pèlerins à changer d’itinéraire ou à prendre le bus. Le mauvais état de conservation et le manque de protection rendent le passage difficile, comme en témoigne la faible fréquentation de pèlerins qui utilisent ce passage. Camino Francés prétend conceptualiser le chemin d’une manière unifiée en partenariat avec les différents acteurs des territoires. L'objectif est de développer une offre touristique commune et différenciée basée sur la valorisation des ressources naturelles et patrimoniales pyrénéennes de ce chemin (Portalet, Canfranc) adaptée pour offrir aux pèlerins les meilleures conditions d’accueil non seulement en terme de sécurité mais également en matière de sensibilisation à l’environnement pyrénéen. Ce partenariat a donc vocation à impulser une véritable économie pour les vallées concernées, s’inscrivant dans les ambitions de la Directriz de Ordenación del Territorio en Aragón et du Plan Montagne français (Etat-Région-Département).
