Description (EN):

The project improves the conservation of biodiversity and the ecosystem services Kvarkens flador and glosjöes offer by increasing knowledge of the environment. The project aims to contribute to the conservation of Kvarken’s biodiversity and the ecosystem services produced by flador and glosjöes. In the short term, the project creates conditions for sustainable management by developing evidence that increases knowledge of these environments and highlights areas that should be prioritised in terms of protection and measures. In the long term, the project contributes to improving the coast and marine environment of the region through joint actions and priorities, as well as to improving the region’s green infrastructure and creating opportunities for blue growth with positive ecological, economic and social impacts.

Projektet förbättrar bevarandet av den biologiska mångfalden och de ekosystemtjänster Kvarkens flador och glosjöar erbjuder genom att öka kunskapen om miljöerna. Projektet strävar efter att göra en insats för bevarandet av Kvarkens biologiska mångfald och de ekosystemtjänster som produceras av flador och glosjöar. På kort sikt skapar projektet förutsättningar för hållbar förvaltning genom att ta fram underlag som ökar kunskapen om dessa miljöer samt lyfter fram områden som bör prioriteras vad gäller skydd och åtgärder. På lång sikt bidrar projektet till att kusten och havsmiljön i regionen förbättras genom gemensamma insatser och prioriteringar, samt till att förbättra regionens gröna infrastruktur samt skapa möjligheter till blå tillväxt med positiva ekologiska, ekonomiska och sociala effekter.

Project description: The project's overall goal was to make a contribution to the conservation of the biodiversity and the ecosystem services produced by flads and glo-lakes. By increasing knowledge and emphasizing areas of highest priority in terms of protection and actions, the project supported sustainable management of flads. In the long run, the project aimed to improve the marine and coastal environment through joint efforts and priorities and help to improve the region's green infrastructure and create opportunities for blue growth with positive ecological, economic and social effects.
