Description (EN):

The project builds the foundation for a permanent centre of excellence in atmospheric icing. The Centre conducts knowledge transfer of icing by supporting local industry with course activities and educational opportunities with a focus on glazing technologies. The primary objective of the project is to build the foundation for a permanent competence centre that will ensure the Centre’s work in the future. The Centre’s work consists of countering atmospheric glazing problems experienced among the private and public sectors in the BA area. A secondary goal is to carry out knowledge transfer of icing by supporting local industry with course activities and educational opportunities with a focus on technologies towards icing. The Centre signs contracts with local economic development groups to build a broad communication network between stakeholders affected by icing problems. The center then uses these networks as primary channels to the industry and as a way to get feedback on specific problems related to icing. A final step is to establish a plan for how the center will live on and be further developed after project completion.

Projektet bygger grunden för ett bestående kompetenscenter inom atmosfärisk nedisning. Centrat bedriver kunskapsöverföring av nedisning genom att stöda lokal industri med kursverksamhet och utbildningsmöjligheter med fokus på teknologier mot nedisning. Projektet har som primärt mål att bygga grunden för ett bestående kompetenscenter som kommer att garantera centrets arbete även i framtiden. Centrets arbete består i att motarbeta problem med atmosfärisk nedisning upplevda bland den privata och allmänna sektorn i BA området. Ett sekundärt mål är att bedriva kunskapsöverföring av nedisning genom att stöda lokal industri med kursverksamhet och utbildningsmöjligheter med fokus på teknologier mot nedisning. Centret uppgör kontrakt med lokala ekonomiska utvecklingsgrupper för att bygga ett brett kommunikationsnätverk mellan intressenter som berörs av nedisningsproblem. Centret använder sedan dessa nätverk som primära kanaler till industrin och som ett sätt att få feedback gällande specifika problem relaterat till nedisning. Ett sista steg är att upprätta en plan för hur centrat ska leva vidare och vidareutvecklas efter projektslut.
