FRA Reactive to Proactive

Renewable energy production shall be promoted through cross-border cooperation. The project Fra reactive to Proaktiv wants to redefine how the municipalities in Denmark and Sweden cooperate with companies they often have statutory environmental supervision over. The project aims to develop models for systematic collaboration and screening of companies. In this way, a larger share of energy can be produced from renewable energy sources. There is potential in exploiting waste products for energy production at individual companies if the municipalities focus on being a partner that helps the company to comply with the rules and requirements that exist and at the same time can see the opportunities for innovation and new opportunities to extract renewable energy. The project highlights in particular Holbæk municipality’s approach to the interaction between municipality and business where employees meet companies more as a partner than as an authority. Swedish HUT Skåne will play a central role in the communicative work because they have a wide network of municipalities. Among other things, the project aims to increase interest in circular solutions and thereby increase the amount of energy from renewable sources. It also wants to achieve cross-border cooperation that ensures coordinated cooperation in exploiting the waste resource in the Öresund-Kattegat-Skagerrak region.

Produktion av förnybar energi ska främjas genom gränsöverskridande samarbete. Projektet Fra reaktiv till Proaktiv vill omdefiniera hur kommunerna i Danmark och Sverige samarbetar med företag som de ofta har lagstadgad miljötillsyn över. Projektet vill utarbeta modeller för systematiskt samarbete och screening av företag. På det viset kan en större andel av energin produceras av förnybara energikällor. Det finns potential i att utnyttja restprodukter till energiproduktion hos enskilda firmor om kommunerna sätter fokus på att vara en partner som hjälper företaget till att följa de regler och krav som finns och samtidigt kan se möjligheterna till innovation och nya möjligheter att utvinna förnybar energi. Projektet framhäver särskilt Holbæk kommuns ingångsvinkel till samspelet mellan kommun och näringsliv där medarbetarna möter företagen mer som en samarbetspartner än som myndighet. Svenska HUT Skåne kommer att spela en central roll i det kommunikativa arbetet eftersom de har ett brett nätverk av kommuner. Projektet har bland annat som mål att öka intresset för cirkulära lösningar och därmed öka mängden energi från förnybara källor. Man vill också uppnå ett gränsregionalt samarbete som säkerställer ett koordinerat samarbete med att utnyttja avfallsresursen i Öresund-Kattegat-Skagerrak-regionen.
