Description (DE): Unterstützung des künftigen Obstanbaus, indem alte sächsische und tschechische gegenüber Krankheiten und Schädlinge resistente Obstsorten mit lokalem oder historischem Bezug zu Sachsen und Tschechien erhalten werden.

Description (EN): Support for future fruit production by preserving old Saxon and Czech varieties that have a local or historical relationship with Saxony or Bohemia and are resistant to diseases and pests.

Description (CS): Podpora budoucího ovocnářství tím, že budou zachovány staré saské a české odrůdy které mají lokální nebo historický vztah k Sasku nebo k Čechám a jsou odolné proti chorobám a škůdcům.

Achievements (DE):

Alte Obstsorten stellen ein genetisches Potenzial dar, das über Jahrhunderte hinweg von unseren Vorfahren entwickelt und selektiert wurde. Eigenschaften, die uns heute wertlos erscheinen mögen, können in Zukunft bei geänderten Sortenanforderungen plötzlich wieder an Bedeutung gewinnen. Dieses Projekt widmete sich daher dem Erhalt und der Wiederbeschaffung alter und verschollener sächsischer und tschechischer Obstsorten. Projektergebnisse: Beschaffung und Pflanzung von ca. 160 historischen sächsischen Obstsorten in Ostritz. Entstehung eines „Pomarium Saxonicum“, einer Sammlung historischer Obstsorten aus dem 19. und Anfang des 20. Jahrhunderts. Mehr als 300 Obstsorten u.a. aus Sachsen. Erstellung einer Obstdatenbank ( Äpfel , Birnen , Kirschen , Pflaumen). Erhalt und Sicherung historischer Obstsorten in Kloschwitz (Sachsen) und Freital (Sachsen). Aufbau zweier Obstsortengärten in der Gemeinde Vyskeř und der Stadt Cvikov. Deutsch-tschechisches Obst- und Winzerfest 2017“ im Kloster St. Marienthal in Ostritz: Obstsortenschau. Bestimmung von eigenen Apfel- und Birnensorten durch Fachleute. Kurzvorträge zu verschiedenen Obstsorten. Projektwebseite: www.obstsorten.ibz-marienthal.de

Achievements (EN):

Old fruit varieties represent a genetic potential that has been developed and selected by our ancestors for centuries. Properties that may seem worthless to us today may suddenly gain in importance in the future with changed plant varieties requirements. This project was therefore dedicated to the preservation and replacement of old and lost varieties of Saxon and Czech fruit. Project results: Procurement and planting of approximately 160 historic Saxon fruit varieties in Ostritz. Creation of a “Pomarium Saxonicum”, a collection of historic fruit varieties from the 19th and early 20th centuries. More than 300 fruit varieties from Saxony, among others. Creation of a fruit database (apples, pears, cherries, plums). Preservation and preservation of historical fruit varieties in Kloschwitz (Saxony) and Freital (Saxony). Construction of two orchards in the municipality of Vyskeř and the town of Cvikov. German-Czech Fruit and Winegrower Festival 2017» at the monastery of St. Marienthal in Ostritz: Fruit show.
