Description (DE): Im Projekt werden Maßnahmen für den Schutz der Gewässer vor Schadstoffen des Bergbaus sowie Möglichkeiten für die geothermische Nutzung des Grubenwassers getestet und umgesetzt.

Description (EN): The project tested and implemented measures to protect watercourses from harmful substances from mines and potentials for geothermal use of mining waters.

Description (CS): V projektu jsou testována a realizována opatření, která chrání vodní toky před škodlivými látkami z dolů, a potenciály pro geotermické využití důlních vod.

Achievements (DE):

Das Projekt verfolgte das gemeinsame Ziel, einen Beitrag zum Oberflächen- und Grundwasserschutz in den jahrhundertelang vom Bergbau geprägten Regionen Erzgebirge und Oberlausitz zu leisten. Besonders wichtig war hierbei die Stabilisierung des Wasserhaushaltes. Der grenzübergreifende Charakter dieser Montanregionen erforderte enge fachliche Zusammenar-beit und intensiven Informationstransfer zwischen den sächsischen und tschechischen Forscherteams. Im Rahmen des Projekts waren genauere Analysen des Grubenwassers zentral: Die Ermittlung dessen Schadstoff- und Nutzungspotenzials stand im Vordergrund der Untersuchungen. Projektergebnisse: Grubenwassermonitoring. Abgeschlossene Analysebohrungen in Tschechien zur Erhebung der qualitativen chemischen Parameter des Grund- und Grubenwassers im Fördergebiet. Nutzung von Geothermie. Grubenwassernutzung ist sinnvolle Maßnahme zur CO2-reduzierten Wärme- und Kälteversorgung. Untersuchungsobjekte: Freiberg: Reiche Zeche, Schloss Freudenstein, Kreiskrankenhaus. Ehrenfriedersdorf: Oberschule „Schule des Friedens“, Anlage Nähe Besucherbergwerk. im Fördergebiet, v.a. in Tschechien, noch hohes, ungenutztes Potenzial. aber Erhöhung der Anlageneffizienz notwendig, um konkurrenzfähig zu sein, z.B. durch: geeignete Beschichtungen zur Reduzierung von Ablagerungen. Gewässerschutz betreffs Altlasten. Im Einzugsgebiet Freiberger Mulde bereits Zwischenergebnisse zur besseren Abdichtung von Bergbauhalden, die Schwermetalle u.a. schädliche Stoffe in Gewässer eintragen können. Grundlage: Altlastenprojekt SAXONIA, Messdaten des Landesmessnetzes f. d. Oberflächenwasserkörper der Freiberger Mulde bzw. Grundwasserkörper der Oberen Freiberger Mulde. Maßnahmenplan zur Überwachung der Gewässerqualität der Freiberger Mulde ausgearbeitet. Machbarkeitsstudie zum Einsatz der entwickelten Abdecksysteme bei der Sicherung weiterer Halden im Erzgebirge unter Beachtung der geplanten Nachnutzung. Achievements (EN):

The project pursued the common goal of contributing to surface and groundwater protection in the mining regions of Erzgebirge and Oberlausat for centuries. The stabilisation of the water balance was particularly important here. The cross-border nature of these Montan regions required close technical cooperation and intensive information transfer between the Saxon and Czech research teams. As part of the project, more detailed analyses of the pit water were central: The research focused on the determination of its pollutant and utilisation potential. Project results: Mine water monitoring. Completed analysis drilling in the Czech Republic to collect qualitative chemical parameters of groundwater and mine water in the production area. Use of geothermal energy. Use of mine water is a sensible measure for the CO2-reduced heating and cooling supply. Examination objects: Freiberg: Rich mine, Freudenstein Castle, county hospital. Ehrenfriedersdorf: High school “School of Peace”, plant near visitor mine. in the assisted area, especially in the Czech Republic, still high, untapped potential. but increasing plant efficiency is necessary to be competitive, e.g. by: suitable coatings for reducing deposits. Water protection concerns contaminated sites. In the Freiberger Mulde catchment area, interim results have already been achieved for better sealing of mining heaps, which can enter heavy metals, including harmful substances, into water bodies. Basis: SAXONIA project, measurement data of the Land Measuring Network f. d. surface water body of the Freiberger Mulde or groundwater body of the Upper Freiberger Mulde. Action plan to monitor the water quality of the Freiberger Mulde. Feasibility study on the use of the developed cover systems in securing further heaps in the Ore Mountains, taking into account the planned reuse.
