Description (EN): The aim is to provide cross-border knowledge on “environment”, “peace” and “justice” topics through experience-oriented project days for children and young people. Two historically-protected chapels will be restored and then used as meeting rooms.

Ziel ist die grenzübergreifende Wissensvermittlung zu den Themen „Umwelt“, „Frieden“ und „Gerechtigkeit“ durch erlebnisorientierte Projekttage für Kinder und Jugendliche. Zwei denkmalgeschützte und historisch bedeutsame Kapellen werden restauriert und als Räumlichkeiten für die Begegnungen genutzt.

Cílem je přeshraniční zprostředkování znalostí k tématům „životní prostředí“, „mír“ a „spravedlnost“ prostřednictvím zážitkově orientovaných projektových dnů pro děti a mládež. Dvě památkově chráněné historicky významné kaple budou restaurovány a poté využívány jako místnosti k setkávání.

Achievements (EN):

The project “Mundani” dealt with the questions of how to make desire for the big topics of people and what conflicts are moving us today. Living peace cannot be enforced by force. But how do you design peace work? Our prosperity society also contributes to the unwell of other “world citizens” and the following generations: Can there be justice, and what should we do for it? You are alienated from nature around you, (use) and destroy it. Can we still live in harmony with nature? Project objectives: In cooperation with the Teplice Gymnasium, the Umweltzentrum Dresden e.V. has been developing project days for pupils on these issues since 1 April 2016: working together on ten topics with Czech and German classes in Dresden and Teplice, Selection of exceptional project locations — the former Beuron monastery chapel in Teplice and the gatehouse of the disused exterior, Matthäus Cemetery in Dresden: Pupils should be sensitised to the topics of war, expulsion and new beginnings through the history of these places that can be experienced here. Offer up-to-date, cross-disciplinary topics for upper secondary education. Project results: German-Czech school workshops were held on 10 currently relevant topics in the global world. This resulted in work materials that can also use other German-Czech projects. Materials in the “Peace” complex: Escape and expulsion, civil wars, search for traces: War and peace. Materials in the “Justice” complex: Xenophobia, children’s rights, fair trade. Topic “Environment”: Biodiversity, water, climate change, energy and mobility. Preparation of exhibition brochures on the thematically important meeting points: Beuron Chapel in Teplice, Gatehouse and Outer Matthäus Cemetery Dresden. In addition to teachers and the language animator, experts from the Military History Museum Dresden, the Saxon Ethnological Collections, the Saxon State Centre for Civic Education, the Saxon newspaper, the Ecumenical Information Centre and the Environmental Centre Dresden were involved in the transfer of knowledge. Achievements (DE):

Das Projekt „MUNDANI“ setzte sich mit den Fragen, wie man Lust auf die große Themen der Menschen macht und welche Konflikte uns heute bewegen, auseinander. Lebendiger Frieden kann nicht mit Gewalt erzwungen werden. Aber wie gestaltet man Friedensarbeit? Unsere Wohlstandsgesellschaft trägt auch zum Unwohl anderer „Weltbürger/-innen“ und nachfolgender Generationen bei: Kann es Gerechtigkeit geben, und was muss man dafür tun? Man ist der Natur um sich herum entfremdet, (ge)braucht und zerstört sie. Kann man noch im Einklang mit der Natur leben? Projektziele: In Kooperation mit dem Gymnasium Teplice entwickelte das Umweltzentrum Dresden e. V. seit dem 1. April 2016 Projekttage für Schülerinnen und Schüler zu eben diesen Fragen: gemeinsames Erarbeiten von zehn Themenfeldern mit jeweils tschechischen und deutschen Klassen in Dresden und Teplice, Wahl außergewöhnlicher Projektorte – die ehemalige Beuron-Klosterkapelle in Teplice und das Torhaus des stillgelegten Äußeren, Matthäusfriedhofs in Dresden: Schülerinnen und Schüler sollen mittels der hier erfahrbaren Geschichte dieser Orte für die Themen Krieg, Vertreibung und Neubeginn sensibilisiert werden, Angebot aktueller, fächerübergreifender Themen für die Sekundarstufe I und II. Projektergebnisse: Es wurden deutsch-tschechische Schulworkshops zu 10 aktuell relevanten Themen der globalen Welt abgehalten. Daraus entstanden Arbeitsmaterialien, die auch andere deutsch-tschechische Projekte nutzen können. Materialen im Komplex „Frieden“: Flucht und Vertreibung, Bürgerkriege, Spurensuche: Krieg und Frieden. Materialien im Komplex „Gerechtigkeit“: Fremdenfeindlichkeit, Kinderrechte, Fairer Handel. Themenkomplex „Umwelt“: Biodiversität, Wasser, Klimawandel, Energie und Mobilität. Erarbeitung von Ausstellungsbroschüren zu den thematisch wichtigen Treffpunkten: Beuron-Kapelle in Teplice, Torhaus und Äußerer Matthäusfriedhof Dresden. An der Wissensvermittlung waren neben Lehrerinnen und Lehrern und der Sprachanimatorin auch Expertinnen und Experten des Militärhistorischen Museums Dresden, der Sächsischen Ethnologischen Sammlungen, der Sächsischen Landeszentrale für politische Bildung, der Sächsischen Zeitung, des Ökumenischen Informationszentrums sowie des Umweltzentrums Dresden beteiligt.
