Description (EN): Increasing the tourist attractiveness of the Bohemian Paradise and Saxon Switzerland regions through two new permanent exhibitions on the topic of mountaineering, which represents a common phenomenon of both regions.

Description (DE): Steigerung der touristischen Attraktivität der Regionen Bömisches Paradies und Sächsische Schweiz durch zwei neuen Dauerausstellungen zum Thema Bergsteigen, welches ein gemeinsames Phänomen der beiden Regionen darstellt.

Description (CS): Zvýšení touristické atraktivity regionů Český ráj a Saské Švýcarsko prostřednictvím dvou nových stálých expozic k tématu horolezectví, které představuje společný fenomén obou regionů.

Achievements (EN):

The common goal of the Czech and German staff of the museums was to create new tourist and cultural offers to familiarise visitors with the German-Czech mountaineering traditions and their continuity from the past to the present. Project results: The project implementation created two new exhibitions in the Museum of Bohemian Paradise in Turnov and Bad Schandau: “Mountain climbing — from Bohemian Paradise to the world’s tops”. Museum of Bohemian Paradise in Turnov. trilingual (CZ, DE, EN). Topics: Mountaineering as a phenomenon of human curiosity and adventure. Styles and types of mountaineering. The history of mountaineering in Bohemian Paradise. Interactive concept: Via ferratas and knots to get to know children. Interaction of new with old museum substance — integration of paintings by Mikoláš Aleš or the Battle of Hrubá Skála in mountaineering projections. Database of climbers of Bohemian Paradise (15 000 entries) accessible for individual research, e.g. for family members. “Climbing worlds in the Elbe sandstone_movement in the landscape”. Museum Bad Schandau. bilingual (DE, CZ). Illumination of various climbing motivations from the perspectives “tradition”, “life world” and “sports performance”. chronological presentation of the history of Elbsand rock climbing. Photo panoramas, historical documents and objects as well as contemporary witness accounts and quotes.

Achievements (DE):

Gemeinsames Ziel der tschechischen und deutschen Mitarbeiter der Museen war es, neue touristische und kulturelle Angebote zu schaffen, die die Besucher mit den deutsch-tschechischen Bergsteigertraditionen und deren Kontinuität von der Vergangenheit bis zur Gegenwart vertraut machen sollen. Projektergebnisse: Durch die Projektumsetzung wurden zweie neue Ausstellungen im Museum des Böhmischen Paradieses in Turnov und in Bad Schandau geschaffen: „Bergsteigen – vom Böhmischen Paradies auf die Weltspitzen“. Museum des Böhmischen Paradieses in Turnov. dreisprachig (CZ, DE, EN). Themenkomplexe: Bergsteigen als Phänomen der menschlichen Neugier und Abenteuerlust. Stile und Arten des Bergsteigens. Die Geschichte des Bergsteigens im Böhmischen Paradies. Interaktives Konzept: Klettersteige und –knoten zum Kennenlernen für Kinder. Zusammenspiel von Neuem mit alter Museumssubstanz – Einbindung bspw. von Gemälden Mikoláš Alešs oder der „Schlacht von Hrubá Skála“ in Bergsteigerprojektionen. Datenbank von Kletterern des Böhmischen Paradieses (15 000 Einträge) zugänglich zur individuellen Nachforschung z. B. nach Familienmitgliedern. „Kletterwelten im Elbsandstein_Bewegung in der Landschaft“. Museum Bad Schandau. zweisprachig (DE, CZ). Beleuchtung verschiedener Klettermotivationen aus den Perspektiven „Tradition“, „Lebenswelt“ und „sportliche Leistungen“. chronologische Vorstellung der Geschichte des Elbsand-steinkletterns.
