Description (EN): Main aim of the project is to increase capacities for competitiveness and innovativeness of local businesses and administration in cross border region of North-east Macedonia (6 municipalities) and the District of Kyustendil (9 municipalities).
The project will be implemented through several stages, starting with an analysis of the current situation in the field of competitiveness and innovation (C&I) of the businesses, as well as analysis of current support (administration, consultants, NGOs and other organizations) to develop the C&I of the companies. Those analyses will define the gaps in C&I and the training needs in this area, and will indicate the best practices of companies/institutions that have a well-developed system for C&I. This is the general base for the development of programs and methodologies for trainings of consultants and representatives from companies and administration, with the focus on capacity development on C&I.
An additional contribution through this project will be the directly support received by 10 companies on which will be carried out a detailed analysis based on the already adopted and approved European methodology. This will contribute trough the identification of the essential elements for improvement of their work and processes in terms of increased productivity, exports, developing new products and services, and new ways of innovative entrepreneurial behavior.
The results of the project will represent a scientific basis for further recommendation and defined activities, by a recognized European methodological approach adapted to the needs of these two cross-border regions in order to influence the strengthening of cross-border cooperation.
The change achieved through this project will affect both regions by the capacity development of the institutions for entrepreneurship and innovation support in order to increase competitiveness and innovative approach of the SMEs in both regions.

Проектот ќе се реализира во неколку фази, почнувајќи од анализа на моменталната состојба во полето на конкурентност и иновации (C & I) на бизнисите, како и анализа на тековната поддршка (администрација, консултанти, невладини организации и други организации) за развој на C & I на компаниите. Тие анализи ќе ги дефинираат празнините во C & I, како и потребите за обука во оваа област, а ќе се покажат и најдобрите практики на компаниите / институциите кои имаат добро развиен систем за C & I. Ова е генералната основа за развој на програми и методологии за обука на консултанти и претставници од компании и администрација, со фокус на развивање на капацитетите на C & I.
Дополнителен придонес преку овој проект ќе биде директната поддршка од страна на 10 компании на кои ќе се врши детална анализа врз основа на веќе усвоена и одобрена европска методологија. Ова ќе се постигне преку идентификација на основните елементи за подобрување на нивната работа и процеси во смисла на зголемување на продуктивноста, извозот, развој на нови производи и услуги, како и нови начини на иновативни претприемачко однесување.
Резултатите од проектот ќе претставуваат научна основа за понатамошни препораки и дефинирани активности, преку признат европски методолошки пристап прилагоден на потребите на овие два прекугранични региони, со цел да се влијае на зајакнувањето на прекуграничната соработка.
Промената која ќе се постигне преку овој проект ќе влијае врз двата региони преку развој на капацитетот на институциите за поддршка на претприемништвото и иновациите со цел да се зголеми конкурентноста и иновативниот пристап на малите и средни претпријатија во двата региони.
Read more Description (BG): Основна цел на проекта е да се повиши капацитета по отношение на конкурентоспособността и иновативността на местния бизнес и администрацията в трансграничния регион, обхващащ 6 общини от Североизточна Македония и 9 общини Кюстендилска област.
Проектът ще се реализира в няколко основни етапа, като се започне с анализ на настоящата ситуация в сферата на конкурентоспособността и иновациите (КИ) на фирмите, както и анализ на настоящата подкрепа (администрация, консултанти, неправителствени организации и други организации), за развитие на КИ на фирмите. Тези анализи ще определят пропуските и нуждите от обучение в тази област, ще изявят най-добрите практики на фирми и институции, които имат добре развита система за КИ. Това е общата база за разработването на програми и методики за обучение на консултанти и представители на фирми и администрация, с фокус в развитието на капацитета за КИ.
Допълнителен принос на този проект е директната подкрепа на 10 фирми, на които се извършва подробен анализ на базата на вече приета и одобрена Европейска методология. Това ще допринесе за идентифицирането на най-важните елементи за подобряване на тяхната работа и процеси от гледна точка на увеличаване на производителността, износа, разработване на нови продукти и услуги, както и възприемане на нови начини за иновативно предприемаческо поведение.
Резултатите от проекта ще представят на научна основа бъдещи препоръка и определени дейности за изпълнение от възприетия европейски методологичен подход, адаптиран към нуждите на тези два гранични региони/области, за засилването на трансграничното сътрудничество.
Промяната, постигната чрез този проект ще се отрази на двата региона/области, чрез развитие на капацитета на институциите за предприемачеството и подкрепа на иновациите, за да се увеличи конкурентоспособността и иновативния подход на малките и средни предприятия и в двата региона/области.
Read more Achievements (EN): 1. Situational analysis of competitiveness and innovation (C&I) of local firms conducted for the cross-border region (Northeast Region of Macedonia and Kyustendil District in Bulgaria).
2. Knowledge gaps and C&I potential study was conducted in 300 companies (150 from each side of the border). This study was used to develop the trainings and instruments for direct support and were presented to more than 100 main stakeholders from both countries at the final conference. Additional benefit was the opportunity to benchmark the regions and to map their potentials both for further development and joint initiatives).
3. Build capacities for improvement of the C&I in the region (more than 100 representatives from local enterprises, C&I support institutions and local trainers participated in joint trainings with their colleagues from the other side of the border).
4. Development of new partnerships (as a result of the meetings during the project events few cooperation initiatives were established, and many more were initiated).
5. Final Publication (In the frame of the Final Publication recommendations, measures and instruments for development of capacities for C&I in targeted CBC regions with focus on the joint development and cooperation among enterprises from both sides of the border).

Number of participants (split into men and women) in supported training and qualification initiatives;75.00;The number of participants (split into men and women) in the four thematic trainings in the field of Competitiveness and Innovation (C & I), which were held during the project in Kyustendil and Kumanovo, two trainings designed for local institutions and two trainings for local enterprises, is 75 people, among which 45% were women.
Within the activity No. 3 – Innovation and competitiveness capacity building, because of the needs of the activity, some representatives of local enterprises / local C & I support institutions, took a part in the both thematic trainings dedicated to the local enterprises / local institutions. According this the total number of participants on each of the two days thematic training (Local Enterprises and C&I support institutions held in Kumanovo and Kyustendil), four in total, is 101 participants. The number of participants (trained trainers) on ToT, which was held in Kumanovo is 12 trainees - 50% of trainees were women.
