Cleantech Kvarken-hankkeessa vahvistetaan cleantech-alan pk-yritysten edellytyksiä tehdä uutta liiketoimintaa sekä kansallisilla että kansainvälisillä markkinoilla. Tämä saavutetaan luomalla rajat ylittävää yhteistyötä kaupunkien, kuntien sekä niiden omistamien yhtiöiden välillä, lisäämällä alueiden cleantech-alan yritysten yhteistyötä, toteuttamalla yhteisiä vientiponnistuksia uusille markkinoille sekä pohjoismaissa että niiden ulkopuolella sekä houkuttelemalla uusia investointeja ja yrityksiä maakuntiin.

Cleantech Kvarken är ett projekt som syftar till att stärka förutsättningarna för små och medelstora cleantech-företag att göra affärer på regionala, nationella och internationella marknader. Detta sker genom att etablera gränsöverskridande samarbete mellan städer, kommuner och kommunägda bolag, öka samarbetet mellan cleantech-företagen i regionerna, genomföra gemensamma exportinitiativ till marknader inom och utanför Norden samt genom att attrahera företagsetableringar till regionerna.

Description (EN):

The Cleantech Kvarken project aims at strengthening the preconditions for small and medium sized enterprises in the clean-tech sector to do business on the regional, national and international markets. This is done by establishing cross-border cooperation between cities, municipalities and publicly owned companies, increasing the cooperation between the cleantech companies in the regions, executing joint export initiatives to markets both inside and outside the Nordic countries as well as attracting investments and establishment of new companies to the regions.

Achievements (EN):

The project evaluation finds that the project has achieved its goal by strengthening the prerequisites for business cooperation between companies and organizations. Through cross-border cooperation between the project partners, it has been possible to establish contacts between companies which led to business benefits. The project has also resulted in the mapping and creation of a dynamic catalogue/directory of the cleantech industry in the Kvarken area, including publicly owned companies, public investment and test facilities, etc. The evaluation also shows that the expected results have been achieved when the project has led to that new cross-border cooperation between companies has been established and that the conditions for export have been strengthened. The project has contributed to the implementation of the specific objectives of the Interreg Botnia-Atlantica program; Increased capacity for cross-border business cooperation and the desired results; Increased competitiveness for companies in the program area through developed partnerships and extended business contacts within the program area.
