Le projet EMBRACE vise à tester un modèle et des outils pour l'établissement de 2 Méta-clusters transnationaux travaillant sur les principes de l'économie circulaire. Le projet, en capitalisant un modèle déjà développés portant sur l'hybridation entre la réduction de l'«eco-burden» et la création de valeur économique, proposera un ensemble d'instruments et services pour les Clusters, PME et acteurs de l'Innovation dans deux grands secteurs de l'économie méditerranéenne: le Vin et l'agroalimentaire. La création de Nœuds Nationaux assurera la mise en place d'actions de sensibilisation et de formation destinées à la fois aux PME/Clusters et à l'Administration publique (Régions, provinces). Les clusters nationaux alignés sur les principes de l'économie circulaire seront ensuite regroupés en 2 Méta-Clusters au niveau MED pour assurer la coopération et l'échange de connaissances, même à travers l'utilisation de la plate-forme EMBRACE. Pour renforcer l'impact de l'économie circulaire, des modèles de business viables dans le domaine de l'éco-innovation et des instruments de financement innovants seront développés, tandis que des projets finançables seront identifiés au cours de la phase de pilotage et ensuite diffusés au cours de la phase de transfert. Les modèles et les instruments testés seront diffusés aussi dans d'autres domaines et secteurs, afin de multiplier le bénéfice de l'économie circulaire et de promouvoir sa durabilité grâce à l'adoption des instruments financier ad hoc.

Description (EN):

The EMBRACE project aims at testing a model and related toolkit for the establishment of 2 transnational meta-clusters working on the principles of the circular economy. The project, capitalizing model and instruments, will propose to Clusters, SMEs and Innovation stakeholders a set of instruments able to strongly introduce the principle and practices of the Circular Economy in two leading sectors of the Med Economy: Wine and Agro-food. The establishment of national Nodes will assure the provision of awareness and training actions addressed to both economic actors (SMEs and clusters) and Public Administration (Regions, provinces) with the final goal to introduce feasible circular economy practices into the two selected Sectors. The National Clusters aligned to circular economy principles will then be grouped into 2 Meta-Clusters (1 for the Wine sector and 1 for the Agro-Food sector) at MED level to assure cooperation and exchange of knowledge even through the EMBRACE platform. To strengthen the impact of the circular economy, viable business models for SMEs in the field of eco-innovation, large projects and related financing schemes/instruments will be developed during the piloting phase and then disseminated during the transferring phase. The tested models and instruments will be, then, disseminated to other areas and sectors, with the purpose of spreading the benefit of Circular Economy and promoting its sustainability through the adoption of ad hoc financial instruments.

Achievements (EN):

In WPM, LP monitored the timing and quality of products in cooperation with all PPs. Two Technical and Steering Committee meetings were done: the first host in Thessaloniki on 14th-15th October, and the second host in Valencia on 23rd January. The critical delay in implementation of the project and consequent low level of expenditure were seriously considered and PPs agreed to proceed with the request of extension of the project and a budget remodulation. LP managed and processed the request to JS. A new workplan was scheduled and a new version of the project has been submitted to JS.The third Progress and Financial report was submitted and validated.For WP2 Communication, the WP leader PP9 completed the following activities were carried out:- Deliverable D 2. 1.1, D 2. 2.1 and D 2. 2. were concluded- the content of the website is regularly updated (https://embrace.interreg-med.eu).- Three accounts on social media are operational- preliminary activities relating to the video of the Project (D 2. 3.4), including drafting of the script.PP9 participated in the event of the Horizontal Project, held in Thessaloniki (Greece) (D 2. 5.1) on 06 March 2019.WP3–Testing: PP8 managed the project, coordinated the WP3Two Evaluation Committee meeting were organized and done: the first one managed and host by LP in Italy (Legnaro, Padua) on 6th December, and the second one host by PP3 in Valencia on 24th January,During the entire period, Pp8 managed the communication streams with regular emails, calls and skype conferences involving all the PPs (by groups or individually) for the implementation of activities and deliverables, preparation of the actions, through the elaboration of methodologies; technical contents; trainings.In this period al the partners developed the activity with the companies, policy makers and intermediariesRelated to the activity 3.6 it was started by a communication from PP6 and pp8 to all the partners, some partner managed the workshop, other activities is delayed due to the COVID-19 situation.WP4: TransferringWP4 the task leader PP3 defined the plan and organize the training course host in Valencia all the partner participated.
